I respectfully open the door and listen to her and a gentleman that was with her. I listened for a couple minutes, she asked me, will I take this flyer, I said okay. I'll take it she asked me if she can come again another day, I said I will consider it, I did not argue with her for she was an elder with a cane. I did respect what she was trying to do and today I only stayed quiet and listened, did I sin today by staying quiet?

How can a person preach the gospel effectively, to a lost person and not share the gospel book, to see the verses in the Bible visually? Regarding salvation, a lost soul never opens the scriptures for them to see what the Bible says. Everything is done only verbally. Is this good practice?

This past week I had several phone calls, and in these phone calls, I was told about how each person had shared Jesus and led somebody to the Lord. It got me to thinking. Most Christians say that they believe that Jesus is the Christ, the savior, the Son of the living God. Yet, I find that many don't even take the time to share Jesus with the hurt, broken, and dying people of the world. How long has it been since you shared Jesus with someone? I know that I leave tracts when we go out to eat, or when we are going to have an extended interaction with a cashier or waitpersons. I also try to witness to people I talk to every day. I have even witnessed to people on thes…

It seems that attendants for new believers has gone down. People are in fear of COVID, but are not seeking God? Like when nine eleven happened.

Has anyone here ever had someone get saved only to not want to come to church after or be involved in anything? Its a little disheartening in some respects but on the other hand they will be in heaven (yet so as by fire).

The article posted was posted in the forum addressed "Southern Baptists" on Facebook recently. It has also been sent to me by several Calvinist friends.....I can't say that I agree with the information as posted....What do you think? Though this is posted in the SB forum on FB, I'm finding that many of my Calvinist IFB friends believe what is posted in this article as well. I thought that ""believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" WAS asking Jesus into ones heart....apparently, the writer of the article disagrees. https://truthingrace.com/2009/07/21/ten-reasons-not-to-ask-jesus-into-your-heart-by-todd-friel/?fbclid=IwAR1hF6LYnvyA9JcDooGCQhrV5RudO8C_joOpXeW61USZU8RbHwsoalhLo…

Some might ask, can they get saved? of course they can, What I believe is happening, is that you can openly see their sins. They cannot see yours or mine, but when it comes to evangelizing God Words, the Holy Spirit does all the work, and the changing, not us, so our job is to preach the Word and share the free gift of salvation, not looking at the outward appearance. For we all fall short.

This is not impossible, but not easy to do. For they know to much, and they are smarter than you and me.

I use to watch his television series, would there be anymore TV evangelist like him. Jack Leo Van Impe was an American televangelist known for his half-hour weekly television series Jack Van Impe Presents, an eschatological commentary on the news of the week through an interpretation of the Bible. The program airs around the world through both religious broadcasters and the purchase of paid programming time on commercial television stations. He was known as the "Walking Bible", having memorized most of the King James Version of the Bible.[2] His wife, Rexella, shared his television ministry as co-host.

I love Soul Winning. Knocking doors of people have been praying for your visit, people that answer the door in tears as you intervene a tragic time of their life. Many are afraid to go. I've been trying to push other people in the church to go. Some churches I know I begged them to come out with me, we had a blast. Our current church 75% of the people there are there because someone knocked on their door, whether it was our church, or in a prior church life. We really believe this is a great thing and many churches are lacking. However, our problem is, we can't get people motivated to come. I did just make a video of Soul winning I will share here, and t…

Soul Winning, this topic should be the hottest one on this forum. But it's on the back burner. I am not blaming anyone, for we all fall short. I pray, that this Soul Winning forum page, stand out, and grow in Jesus name.

Which wording do you prefer to use, as you are sharing the gospel of salvation. You must be saved, or you must be born again for salvation.

As I listen or read about the woman at the well with Jesus, I believe that this woman could have been the first woman evangelist, for after she spoke with Jesus she ran back home to her small city and preached, could this be the Messiah this Jesus. Like today when people hear, many believe, and many believe her or not. Can this woman be the first evangelist in the New Testament?

In one of the forums I post on, there is a constinuing influx of IFB and SBC who ask about street preaching. Does anyone here practice this anymore? I do have several friends who do this, hand out Bibles and see a great many people come to the Lord every year? What are your feelings on street preaching? Jesus did give the example of going out into the highways and byways to compel people to come in so that his house might be full! Thank you in advance for your participation. Resource that was sent to me via email: Has many good things onsite! https://biblebelievers.com/StreetPreaching1.html

I have witnessed to my birth father and stepmother several times over the years, but they have asked me to NOT present the Gospel to them again unless they bring the subject up. This is an uncomfortable situation for me, as I still try to present the Gospel to them in the way I live my life in front of them anyhow. I don't discuss the Lord with them unless one of them brings the subject up. So, how would YOU handle this situation? I will be visiting my birth father and stepmother for a few hours on Friday, and I plan to once again ask my father about his belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. He has brought the subject up several times over the past few months, …

Do American’s love Australians too? I wish we had more churches like you do. I’m a pastor’s daughter. Number eight in a line of nine children, A.C.E homeschooled, had to flee the state we lived in because child protection services were after us kids (ever heard of that? My sister put us in. Nice girl), I.B conservative Baptist, the whole bit. I love Andrew Murray, F.B Meyer, Francis Schaffer, my parents have been around for three hundred and ninety-five years (actually Dad’s in his seventies), been through every kind of church problem you can think of and met every kind of Christian nut imaginable (Pharisees included). Don’t you love those people that think even suga…

Another topic got me thinking. When you street preach what do you preach about? I am 100% against abortion, homosexual marriage (If the government want to have civil unions so be it, but God ordained marriage between a husband and a wife), alcohol, and other things, but when I street preach I stick with the gospel message. I get into homosexuality and other sins once I get to engage on a one on one situation or they bring it up. Salvation first, then let the Holy Spirit work on their heart. Does anyone here get up and street preach about homosexuality?

I would like to pass along an unusual experience I had about three weeks ago that blessed my heart and I would like to pass along the blessing. On Taiwan there are a huge amount of motorcycles. Due to the price of gasoline being very high, parking places very few, and traffic congestion also high, they are smaller in size than in the US (most of the them are from 50cc to 125cc). Also, unlike most countries, they park them on the sidewalks and every place imaginable. Almost always there are people coming and going on the motorcycles, and, as usual, there are people just sitting on the motorcycles either waiting for someone or just idling time away. While passing …

This coming weekend we will be having Andrew and Shawn Canavan in to present the field of Ireland (we have known Andrew since a baby, and Shawn for 14ish years, so are really excited). On Saturday, the 15th, the ladies will host an Irish tea with Shawn speaking. Our church is very tiny (seems to be growing smaller on a regular basis), so there won't be many ladies there, but I know it will be a blessing. While we are having our tea, my husband and Andrew will venture to downtown Port Townsend to do some street witnessing. We have ordered a sandwich sign (hopefully it will be ready in time!) to identify us as not being Mormons or JWs. LOL - yes, that is a conce…

Some of the young men in our church have been involved in an effort to create and translate this tract into multiple languages. We've also been organizing printing them in English, French, Tagalog, Hindi and Punjabi and sending them to various churches. Here's a link to the electronic versions in case anyone finds this useful! https://www.flipsnack.com/VBCPublishing/?fbclid=IwAR1B_nINp7m7UoTG-HjcCa88HBtmNhpB2liQHe_E7vCS59XNiGu0feRewvI
