Not sure if this is the correct forum but I'll see if I get any help on this one. Anyway, a friend of mine has a son who's gay. He's 20 and also has autism. I don't know anything about autism. He lives with his very dysfunctional family and has a job and can drive. I've befriended the mother so I can continue to take her daughter to church with me, she's 7 years old. When I drop the daughter off I usually go in and talk to the mother and her son will come into kitchen and tell me about how hard it is to meet gay men, etc. etc. And since he's mentally challenged I need help to find a way talk to him without upsetting mother or him.

Hi everyone. I ordered a bunch of free tracts from the list of free resources thread we have here and I was just wondering, how do I use tracts? Do I just hand them out to people, place them in various places, or what?

Had three little girls, all 4 years old, that my assistant and I have been working with for about 6 months accept Christ today; They were ready to ask Jesus to come into their hearts.

Hi everyone, i have been a Christian all my life and i am currently living in South Korea. i have been trying my best to spread the faith to people around here and i am looking for a few good and true (!) stories of how you have met Jesus Christ in your life to share with people around me. I think these personal stories really do make a difference to people unsure about their own faith. I would be more than grateful if you would share your own story. If you dont feel like posting it here since its too personal, you can also email my at paul.stevens857@gmail.com. GOD bless, Paul

I've been blessed with quite a few, but if I had to relate one which took the top spot as most unique, it would be this one: One day, in the mid-eighties sometime, I came home from work and went upstairs to see my wife. I hadn't even taken my coat off when the phone rang. I picked it up and a male voice started talking dirty to me, but in a monotone voice, almost like it was ritual. I had always purposed that if I got an obscene caller of any kind, the best way to get rid of them was not a whistle, but the Gospel! I proceeded to tell him how Jesus died for him...little by little the profane stopped, and it was replaced by queries into what I was saying. He listened …

I occasionally listen to Wretched Radio with Todd Friel. I enjoy a lot of things about the radio program and I especially like "Witness Wednesdays" because he spends time evangelizing the lost. I do not listen to the entire program, but I listen to their podcast which is just one segment of the program called "Segment of the Day." Todd Friel uses the Way of the Master's popular "good person test" when witnessing, which is fine, but one thing he has done several times concerns me and I wanted to get some input from the forums on it. If you can, find their podcast from Dec. 22, 2010 and listen to the first few minutes of it. You will hear Mr. Friel tell a young man th…

Ok I have been with many different people out visiting, and the way people witness is so different? I prefer to lay out the plan of salvation and give them the information they need to accept or deny Christ, but, I have been with some who will not stop until they get a decision one way or another, sometimes I feel that, that kind of witnessing closes a door. Just curious as to what others of you think, I don't mean to bash anyone and don't want this to turn that way, please keep it civil, just a discussion. Disagreements are of course fine.

I wonder, often times if one should be a good conversationalist and public speaker when soul winning. I have, in the past spoken to people who were far from the conversationalist and did not put up a good argument for what they believed in. This is frustrating to hear when one is attempting to witness outside the normal meeting grounds of the Church. I may be coming from an educational realm, but now-a-days people are smarter than one may think about the Bible, and as such can run circles around the not-so-educated soul-seeker.

I have never witnessed to anyone even though I've been saved for years. The churches I grew up in... it just was not something they preached about that I remember. Our new church has taught me the importance of witnessing to others of your salvation. They have a soul-winning group that goes out each week but my schedule doesn't allow me to be part of it. The pastor mentioned something last week as a suggestion that you highlight or tab out sections of your Bible so you have the scripture ready to go when you are witnessing to someone (I'm not good with memorization). OBviously I know that John is a great book to show a lost person, but what other books or verses of the Bi…

Each day I look at news headlines and without a doubt it looks like we're nearing the end. Brothers and sisters, Jesus could be back any day! So, I wanted to leave a simple word of encouragement from one soldier in Christ to others--keep going! With all the time stealing activities that are out there, both within the church and without, don't forsake your soulwinning time. I believe in you and completely understand how busy you are. But, Christ and these lost souls are depending on you.

What prayers do you pray for someone to know Jesus? Calvanist doctrine would incline you to believe you can't pray at all, but you certainly can in general, and I've seen prayers OBviously answered by God. The bible says we're suppose to pray for our enemies.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) Every time we witness to someone there is a battle going on! There is an unseen conflict between the forces of good and evil, the one pulling one way, and the other, the other way. This warfare can leave one mightily confused; the subject may not know which way to turn, and so he/she does not do anything at all. The tragedy is theirs, but the prOBlem is ours! Our “weapon” in this warfare is the Word of God, used as a sharp t…

The title asks a silly question, and yet, many times we seem to think it can! The hidden question is, "Is it the prayer that saves, or the faith on one's heart?" Too often, well-meaning Christians attempt to lead someone to the Lord and get them to pray, when they may nit have been sincere in their heart. I often like to teach them that "this prayer isn't magic; without faith, it is just a bunch of empty words" I have a friend who quotes Scripture more than I can, and yet, he struggles with the simpler things of life. He has a mental prOBlem, but he still talks of soul winning and "keeping people out of hell", etc., but then he goes constantly asks the same basic qu…

Hi all, I've given away tracts before, and also the gospel of john - and I used to sell stuff online, so I'd put these in with the orders, and they seemed to be effective, and had a couple of customers thank you's. I had more trust of the gospel of John, because tracts don't seem to have enough sometimes, and the whole word of God is useful to witnessing. We've all seen a lot of apostasy in the churches. Particularly, I remember at one church they were going to 'teach witnessing', and what they taught was a lot of rules of men when the bible says not to meditate beforehand, but be led by the Holy Spirit: Luke 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate…

2 Cor 5 Five reasons for telling others about Christ: 1. 2Co 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” --We will stand before God for NOT telling them! --We have a commission (Mt. 28:19,20) 2. 2Co 5:11 “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.” --Knowing the judgment of God upon them is a valid reason to warn them. 3. 2Co 5:14 “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for…
