I've been friends with someone for a long time who is a very devote Catholic, grew up in very exclusive private catholic schools. And has been very active his whole life in the Catholic church. Anyway, I'm trying to show him some of the errors of the catholic church, and our first stumbling block is communion, he believes it is turned into the body and blood of Christ at that time. Using the verses in the Bible used during communion saying this is my body and my blood.... How do I debate this one?

The Cross and How Jews Perceive It By Geri Ungurean Through the years, I’ve shared by testimony of becoming a Jewish Christian. Upon telling my testimony to people in church, I have seen two reactions: 1. People are SO excited that a Jewish person has been born-again from above! 2. People give me the deer in the headlights look, nod and move on. I have come to a conclusion based on these two distinct reactions: The people who are happy and excited about my testimony belong to Jesus and really adore Him. The deer in the headlights folks just might be lukewarm, and we know what Jesus says about them: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor …

Define "Gospel". A clear presentation of the Gospel is important, it ought to contain several important facts; 1. The subject should know that “all people are lost” (Rom. 3:10; 3:23) This puts them into a group, and does not single them out accusingly. They must realize their need for salvation before they will be saved. 2. All people need to be saved. (Rom. 6:23a and 5:12)) I always have them agree that “no one is perfect”. I have never had anyone disagree since I used that approach. They have been offended, however, that I insinuated that they were sinners; generally, people do not think themselves to be too bad. Just as wages are paid for …

I was at an event last night May 7, 2015. A suburban festival. You could sample food from local restaurants. There were about I an estimated 50k people there. Very rare you have that many teens in one place. They just seemed to be there many with adults. There are many schools around there. We handed out tracts and talked with them. As many as we could. It was rare a opportunity. Teens can talk to other teens of course. However they were really willing to listen to us. It seemed. How many of you get soulwinning opportunities with teens and young people?

Hi Folks, Is there any title that could bring more attention? ha. We do need to consider change, but in the right ways. Over the past few years I've noticed a trend of negativism and peer pressure within the Baptist ranks. If someone doesn't have the right haircut, or the right bible translation, or the right clothing or whatever. We tend to exclude such people or tell them they need to do what's right or they'll be shunned. We have a new and growing ministry called Reformers Unanimous that's drawing people with various types of addictions: cocaine, crack, alcohol, pornography, eating disorders, you name it!! We need to be encouragers of the faith, reaching out to …

Banned Again... 1 2 3 4

...and I count it a blessing! I was a member of the forum 1858remington.com and the enemies of Christ (professing Christians) have banned me for quoting God's Word in the off-topic section. I told them I would not cower or be bullied when they could call evil (drinking, smoking, pornography) good and good (God's Word) evil. I am continually amazed at the blindness of the lost, not just to God's Word but to common sense and rational thought processes. It is my hope that while there, some of the men thought about their spiritual conditions and turned to Christ. "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Bl…

Preached in Downtown Toronto. Arrived at the location around 1:30pm, stayed till about 10:00pm. The police were called and under the new hate speech law they took my sandwich sign, to destroy it. They said they could have arrested me, but decided to have mercy on me. This was the sign they destroyed: (This is for preaching against homosexuality and other religions) The police told us we could not record them. The police told me if they arrested me that they would strip search me and thus I would be naked and thus be an immodest dresser. (Which is against the sign) The first thing they asked is if I was on any medication; they thought I was mentally ill. …

How do you minister to atheist? Most atheists I minister to don't care what I have to say. The Gospel bounces off of them like bullets to Superman. If I tell them that God loves them and sent his only Son to die for them, they respond by saying, 'I don't care, I don't believe that!'. Or if I were to ask them if they believe that they will go to heaven when they die, they respond by saying, 'I don't believe in God or Heaven' What am I suppose to do? And I don't want to go force the Gospel on them, they get upset sometimes and this scares me!!! Love, Madeline

I walked down the driveway to the house. A gentleman was outside. I greeted him and offered him the tract. He said "get off my property or I will call the police" , I said "yes sir" then to my back as I was leaving he yelled at me "I said get off my property or I will call the police" (he might have said "I'm calling the police"), ..... since I was already walking ... I stopped, turned around, said, "yes sir" ... and turned back around while he was yelling "I'm calling the police" and calmly walked off his property. What was my legal responsibility? Anybody suggest how to handle a situation like that? Thanks.

Asking for advice. From your own experience, what has helped you in evangelizing. Or, what've you learned not to do? Every little bits helps (for me) -Scrib

"I don't believe in lifestyle evangelism." I ask this because in recent years I seem to hear this more and more, especially from pastors and so called soul winners. In my experience this seems to come from those who actively practice what we have come to know as "easy believism" in their soul winning endeavors. As you can imagine from my question, I do not agree with this statement and my answer to it is this: Mat. 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so…

I've been blessed with quite a few, but if I had to relate one which took the top spot as most unique, it would be this one: One day, in the mid-eighties sometime, I came home from work and went upstairs to see my wife. I hadn't even taken my coat off when the phone rang. I picked it up and a male voice started talking dirty to me, but in a monotone voice, almost like it was ritual. I had always purposed that if I got an obscene caller of any kind, the best way to get rid of them was not a whistle, but the Gospel! I proceeded to tell him how Jesus died for him...little by little the profane stopped, and it was replaced by queries into what I was saying. He listened …

How to Lead People to Christ? 1 2 3 4
by Guest Guest- 45 replies

I was listening to a Christian radio station and heard a statistic that 95% of Christians have never led anyone to Christ, and encouraging them to do so. I personally have never led anyone to Christ, but I don't want it to stay that way. It is probably selfish to say that I am shy when it comes to talking to other people, because God used imperfect people in the Bible all the time - like Moses, who said he wasn't a good speaker. I've wondered what sets the scene for being ready, willing, and able to tell people about the Lord? Is it having a really close relationship with God, being passionate about your faith, or seeking others out? Do you develop relationships w…

Life-Style Evangelism 1 2 3

Over the many years of my ministry, I have tried and taught many methods of evangelism. The most successful method comes straight out of the Bible: LIFE-STYLE EVANGELISM. As we believers are going we are to make disciples...et.a. Both conduct and conversation are employed as opportunities avail themselves. By using this method, we have been able to win 66 people in the last two years (in the Delta of Arkansas) and we have been able to baptize most of them. PTL. Rufus

WILL A PERSON WHO LOVES SIN AND DOES NOT WANT DELIVERANCE TRUST IN JESUS AS SAVIOR? All men are sinners by nature (Romans 3:23). Sinners love darkness, that is sin and sinful practices. Should a sinner be convicted of his sins, feel sorry about it and change his mind and heart concerning sin in order to trust in Jesus as Savior, or is it okay to continue loving sin and desiring it at the same time trusting in Jesus as Savior?

I have been doing some Hyles soul-winning research. Wow, is this interesting. Anyway, I would have asked this question on their site, but I found the vigor with which they debate a little intimidating to say the least! Here is the link http://www.jackhammr.org/2007/10/17/jac ... /#more-221 My question is this: Given the dissection of what the two sides believe repentance means, how different would the prayer a person would pray for salvation be? It wouldn't of course be helpful to tell me it would be "really" different......could you give me an example of each? P.S. You don't have to enlighten me on the horrors of Hyles or the myriad of things he teaches etc. …

I was wondering how you can witness to a stanch Catholic ? My husband has an aunt who is a stanch Catholic we sent a tract in the Christmas card this year . She wrote back with how she loves her church how she feels so intimate when she partakes of the communine how she feels so much a part of his body etc... Anyway was wondering what you all do in such a situation ? I have never been involved with that religion and so it kinda of grosses me out (sorry it does ) when she went on and said how she felt intimate and at one with his blood and body during mass an the communine and such . Any help would be appreciated .
