I have some questions requests for you. 1. How did God bring you and your spouse together? 2. Did you have any doubts about whether or not it was God's will for you to marry your spouse? 3. What advice can you give to a young man like myself who is seeking to find the right spouse? 4. add anything else you feel relevant.

Hi everyone.. guess you remember me to all those who posted in the thread that I started wayback. Im back! still the same as before... Well, the guy that I've mentioned (still the same guy 2014). Well, here's an update. Our pastor and his wife invited us for a chat. Since they're concerned about me since Im a member of our church, and the guy that I like (he's studying in a bible college taking up masteral, by faith because his savings went to different people who asked for his help that they will borrow his money and return it when they're able to pay him, he sold his small business because it is not God honoring according to him, and he's changing his ways). At present …

I doubt that those on this forum need this advice, but maybe someone you know does. Far too many women are let down by their mothers failing to teach them the one basic skill they actually need in life: "My mother hadn’t felt the need to give me a recipe—she knew that I had watched her, and before her my Nani, make the same pot of sauce nearly weekly in my previous 17 years. So many times I smelled the meat, browning in olive oil before the garlic and onions were added, intensifying the distinctive aroma of Nani’s kitchen, which lingered even years after her last pot had been simmered. Yet I didn’t know how to cook. But what did my mom expect? Both she and my late Nani h…

Hello, I'm new here. Literally 10 minutes new. I'll just jump right into the reason I signed up, and decided to post. I'm hoping there's hope for guys like me. I got married before I was saved, and divorced before I was saved, and that was 17 or 18 years ago. I'm older, but by no means old (40), and have a lot of life left in me if The Lord permits me to live a long life, or doesn't come back first. Everything I've seen says I cannot remarry, and since my original wife was unsaved, and is now remarried there's no hope of reconcilliation. Some Christians do go on to marry again regardless, but it doesn't look like that's something that God's going to permit. Feeling pr…

HI, Our first son is going to marry his fiance this OctOBer. Unfortunately they are both unsaved and while being a "good boy" he lives a pretty secular lifestyle. My wife and I are not even sure if they are going to allow our pastor to marry them yet as the wedding is at a hotel along with the reception and rehearsal dinner. Our beliefs are known by them and we are paying for the rehearsal dinner with NO money towards alcohol. I have read that it is customary to "toast" at these rehearsals and of course the wedding reception too. Is this acceptable in God's eyes if we are drinking water? At previous weddings we have just skipped this. But would that be consid…

My fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I am seeking scripture that speaks out against my topic. I do not believe that God would come to another induvidual and tell them something that he had intended for the person being told to find out. Here is what I am facing; my relationship of a month shy of two years was ruined by a woman who told my significant other that "God told her that she needed to end our relationship." I cannot blame my Girlfriend for listening to her do to the fact that I am out numbered in this fight. Her Mom, Sister, and Grandparents share the same penocostal holiness faith. She is not that way herself, however her mind could be swayed when the core …

One of the blessings of growing older as a Christian is you get to look back over the years and see just where God has shaped events in your life for the good. I made some pretty stupid decisions in my younger years, but as I reflect I see just how God maneuvered things in such a way (even when I was not walking with Him) that led me directly to the wife He wanted me to have. How happy I am that I heeded his guidance, especially during those dark times, and waited for God's help meet for me. Today we celebrate 25 years together as man and wife and I cannot think of anyone else that I would rather spend or share my time with. She is my best friend, my confidant, and I …

To Mothers and grand Mothers! Titus 2:3-5 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
