The Associated Press 'Co-sleeping' with baby can be deadly Austin - More than 160 Texas infants die each year while sleeping in bed with family members, state statistics show, and officials are starting a campaign to warn parents of the danger. Taken from Texarkana Gazette, Monday 16, 2009 Sometime back we had a topic on this, when reading this just now in the Texarkana Gazette I could not help but think of it. I don't mean to repeat that topic, but this could be food for thought for those who let their infants sleep in bed with them. 160 per year only in the state of Texas, t me that is an alarming number of infants losing their life due to this.

My fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I am seeking scripture that speaks out against my topic. I do not believe that God would come to another induvidual and tell them something that he had intended for the person being told to find out. Here is what I am facing; my relationship of a month shy of two years was ruined by a woman who told my significant other that "God told her that she needed to end our relationship." I cannot blame my Girlfriend for listening to her do to the fact that I am out numbered in this fight. Her Mom, Sister, and Grandparents share the same penocostal holiness faith. She is not that way herself, however her mind could be swayed when the core …

Complete Article by my wife. (My four year old daughter asked me, with no previous prompting and much to my discomfort, that question. Do you see a difference? It's so subtle I didn't even notice, but it wasn't subtle to the innocent unconditioned mind of a little child. Out of the mouths of babes.) In the first few years of my marriage, I became aware of three marriages that were affected by pornography within my circle of friends. In two of the cases, the men refused to change their ways and the marriages ended and children were left without an intact home. In the third case, the man repented and through God’s grace, forgiveness, some boundaries and accountabilit…

Here's another one she wrote. It's for ladies, as you proably noticed though, I'm not a lady, so I can't post this in the ladies forum. It's a very good series of articles that I think ladies who have to go through the trials and tribulations of being modest and yet in fashion will appreciate. Feel free to leave a comment on the blog, I'm sure she'd love to hear from you. -- My prayer and purpose for this topic is to strike that balance between being “in this world and not of this world” in regards to The FIVE “F’s”: Fashion, Fit, Femininity, Function, and Frugality in a way that conforms to God’s word. Please enjoy reading my philosophy and frustrations of fa…

I was voicing with someone about Christians needs to be discerning about what they watch, do and say and get into, She was commenting about a movie she seen today and I said it wasn't family approved. Then she said that she don't go unto 100 percent Christian message boards, websites and ETC to get info to avoid a movie or tv show or book because one cuss word, nudity and etc. I told her that we avoid these movies because we are to be discerning, I am wondering have you been told your a 100 percent Christian and have you of this term before?

A friend of ours son is a principle of a school in another part of the state, Christmas Eve morning she run into him and his mother at our local Wal-Mart and told my wife about this. One morning a 6 year old girls mother came to school to pick up her daughter. With her daughter standing at her side she said, I have come to check my daughter out of school. I going to go and get rid of her, I am tried of her and can not put up with her no more. She them asked this principle if he wanted her. Tear were running from my eyes hearing of this. From the time I was fourteen, I knew that I wanted to be a good husband and a good father. I was very observative to parenting and made a vow that I would not ever discipline my children out of anger, but out of love for them and responsibility to my heavenly Father. Since that time, I have come up with a "set of steps" to use in virtually any disciplinary situation to keep me from acting out of anger and, thereby, being abusive. I have applied these steps with my children and they have been very effective. Due to the effectiveness, I have decided to write a book detailing these steps with hopes to help other parents to have the same results and keep them focussed on …

A CALL TO VICTORY IN THE CULTURE WAR Nicholas Jackson October 13, 2007 NewsWithViews.com William Wilberforce was a Christian parliamentarian who was tireless in the fight for abolition in England during the end of the 18th century, and was the subject of the recent film Amazing Grace. Wilberforce was close friends with John Newton, author of the beloved hymn of the same name. Wilberforce spoke about education late in his life. He believed that it is crucially important to make sure that parenting and education point in the same direction ?Let us beware before it is too late. Let us beware that, in schools and colleges, Christianity is almost-if not altogeth…

Last weekend a student from our local college wasspeeding to get home to see the football game when he ran into an oil Rig at a high rate of speed. . I posted this to encourage others not to speed just to get home and see something that you can tape on your VCR or DVD. Ask youself if speeding just to see something is worth possibly losing your life? I don't believe it is.

Hello Brothers and sisters, This is very difficult to post but unfortunately, there are as many believers as there are unbelievers facing a divorce trial today. I find myself a bit discouraged that so many people do not believe in the covenant of marriage. As some of you know, my husband has filed for a divorce and we have been going through the court for a year now. I believe that God hates divorce and I will not agree to sin against God. In our state I do not have to agree. But there are alot of things to make decisions on though that are not sin. I have already been told and heard first hand that his attorney is going to try to expose every evil thing about me. …

Is there still a man like Boaz? *Boaz believed in God. "And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you.." (Ruth 2:4a) *Boaz had a good relationship with other people. "And they answered him, The LORD bless thee." (Ruth 2:4b) *Boaz was kind and helpful. "Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens: Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? And when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have dr…

My dad told me to do something well, stupid, and he doesn't want my mom to know about it. If I don't listen to him, I'll get him mad, if I do my mom will get mad when she finds out (she will eventually). I hate getting set up like that. What do you think I should do? Should I post the details (don't really want to ATM)?

A Pure Child 1 2 3 4 6

Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Tit 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. Over the years, by the grace of God, we have had a vision to have pure children. I must say from the onset, this is a joint effort. Husband and wife must be together on this way. In the event of a single mom or dad, draw from the brethren, it is God's way. Our prayers are with you. When I say pure, I am not talking about sinless because we all know about the individual struggle with the ol…

Abortion supporters, what a huge group of nonbelievers marching. I was wondering we’re all these people off from work. I was amazed, to see so many men marching for Pro-Choice. My question, for how long will God bless America, the once God fearing Country. For now, it’s still the best place to live and to raise your family. If your home has an air conditioning, food on the table to eat, praise God. Most of the world don’t have this today.

Do any of you have one child that is totally accident prone? My oldest daughter is really trying hard to get really hurt bad. Early this summer she had a bad corneal abrasion that left a permenant scar on her eye. The nshe had some sense knocked into her head with a baseball bat. (The scar looks awesome, it is healing great). Wednesday night she wrecked her bike and now has road rash, her dad cleaned her up nice with peroxide, betadine, and bacitracin. She has no complaints of pain. I got looking at her wrist about 11pm and nocticed it is red and swollen. So off to the urgent care we go, in the morning. Without a doubt, Church has been the most controversial topic in our household. When I first started dating my wife, I was involved in a Sothern Baptist Church. She was an assistant minister at a local ministry which specialized in recovery. I had only been seeking Christ for about 8 or 9 months when we met, and had only been going to Church for about 2 or 3 months. As we grew closer together and decided we were going to get married, I left the Church I was attending and began attending Sunday services at the ministry she was involved in. Personally, I absolutely hated it. The doctrine was absolutely horrible, and some of the preaching was done out of "The Big Boo…
