False religions usually either start with a false prophet, or false teacher, and then usually, eventually, create a false Bible to supplant the real set of scriptures. For example. The Mormons started with a false prophet (Joseph Smith) and wound up having a set of false scriptures, the Book of Mormon. Mohammad, a false prophet, eventually had a false set of scriptures, the Quran, to supplant the real Bible. Here is the link to the Wikipedia article that has a more detailed history of the Quran.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Quran Here is a somewhat abbreviated, but very good idea, of the Quran, by the David Wood website, "Acts17Aploigetices,"…

A couple people I know, including a young man in our church, have asked me about this magazine they keep getting, "Tomorrow's World." Having perused it once, a light reading showed it is full of false doctrine, so I told the young man in my church, and he is no longer reading them. Today, a co-worker brought me one and asked me about it, so I went a little further into it, and found it is produced by "the Living Church of God," which is apparently an even worse offshoot of Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God, (WCoG). It is a weird mix of Armstrongism, law-keeping, (thus also Sabbath-keeping), and Jehovah's Witness false doctrines, such as the Holy Spirit being merely…

I don't see any Scriptural command for any non-Israelis to observe the Saturday Sabbath, except that the gates of Jerusalem were locked to itinerant merchants on Sabbaths to prevent their doing business with Israelis on Sabbaths. I believe it's as Passover-God said that any non-Israeli observing passover must follow all the rules He gave to Israel concerning it. But I believe the following Scripture applies to these, & other Israeli observances-Col.2:16 ""Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."" …

Was tracting today in a very hispanic area and ran into some Jehovah's witnesses setting up at an Hispanic shopping center. Of course I got the very very very polite. No thank you to my (our) tracts. 1 Tim 3:16 the way to start a conversation with those people. They do upset me to a degree because they love setting up in public places distributing their really bad error. So I'm not kind all the time either. That gang in Brooklyn has quite a scheme going and I let them know that in no uncertain terms. What I think of their "organizers" is not much. Jehovah's witness's in my opinion are so polite and good in appearance it defies reality. They kind of remind m…

In another site, I am having an "animated' discussion with a Seven-day-Adlibber who insists that Jesus is the archangel Michael, because that's what his guru, Ellen G. White, wrote. I proved to hin Scripturally that's false, but he still spreads that garbage. Here's the proof he's wrong: Jude 8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Now, if Michael were the Lord, he wouldn't've called on the Lord to rebuke Satan ! …

Mat 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. Sabbath and first day are quite clearly different. Joh 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. Jesus met with the disciples who were all gathered on the first day, and did nit rebuke them for their meeting that day. In fact.... 26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doo…

What is it in the Catholic Church and do we Baptists have a Holy Communion ourselves? Does the Bible say anything about this?

I am reading Dr.William Grady's Book, Final Authority about the history/ms., and canonization of the KJV as compared to the faulty Alexandrian ms., and I don't exactly know who the Benedictines are. I know that they're obviously connected to the Catholics and established a monastery, but I am having a hard time finding an unbiased explanation of them on the internet. It's not in Grady's glossary or appendix either.

I know that some branches of Amish don't believe one is saved while here on earth, but if one lives the Amish lifestyle faithfully enough, he/she MIGHT be saved by Jesus after death. I'm wondering if there are any actual Amish who believe the TRUE GOSPEL of Jesus? (I know some Mennonites do.) Also, there's NO Scriptural support for living primitively. After all, God said that in the end times, knowledge shall increase. So, evidently, the Amish don't believe a lot of the Bibles they use, generally the German Martin Luther version, or the KJV and NIV in English. All those versions have the TRUE Gospel in them.

Down below is pasted an extract from the Unitarian Universalism Association. As you can see, they do not believe Christianity has a unique claim to truth. The UUA is not a large organization, but the way they view spiritual truth is common in mainline denominations. Furthermore, interfaith events, designed to reduce conflict between religions, seek to minimize the important differences between faiths. It looks to me like interfaithism is becoming the one-world religion. Certainly it is common in North America. Weddings and other events organized by trendy, sophisticated, affluent, liberals are careful to avoid offending non Christian attendees by omitting any refere…

Here's just a few heretical "quotes" that I've seen on the signs in front of some of the local Baptist churches in my area... LIVE RIGHT, OR YOU'LL BE LEFT! THE ONLY THING THAT LASTS FOREVER IS GOD'S LOVE DIRECTIONS TO HEAVEN: TURN RIGHT, THEN GO STRAIGHT

Morning and salutations! I was curious as to what anyone may know about the next big thing in 'radical' evangelicalism, Todd White. Ive not listened much to him as I dont always have 2 or more hours to listen to a sermon. I suppose I will have to at some point, but interested.to know if anyone has heard of him and what your thoughts were on him. Thanks!

Hello Family of God, (Parentheses) within Bible passages cited are used to expound on the word/s in [brackets] which precede the parentheses. ALL CAPS are used for double emphasis; this is my way of saying, "It says what it says, and it means what it means." The Bible is self-explanatory (i.e., "the best defense of Scripture is Scripture itself") in its interpretation (i.e., "the perspicuity of Scripture"), but even to this day, we find unnecessary criticism from Biblical "scholars" and theologians alike. According to these "brilliant" minded men and women, they ask, "hath God said?" (cf. Gen. 3:1-5; Lev. 18:22; Isa. 66:1-2; Rom. 1:26-27; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; 15:3-4; 2 Cor…

Not false religion, but false doctrine. It is not in Australia, but I have heard that in a nearby country there is a teaching rising that says that you always send your offering back to your first church, no matter where you are worshipping now. This of course deprives small independent churches of much needed support, whilst making the big churches teaching this richer and richer. It also demotes the principle of the local church. And unfortunately this is among "independent Baptist churches", although I use the term in a technical sense rather than a true sense. Has this found any sort of foothold in the USA or elsewhere? I have met one of…

I would like to inquire all those who doubt Eastern-Orthodoxy: if you consider that Orthodoxy is a false religion (or heretical), then what is your view on the miracle of The Holy Fire from Jerusalem? The miracle has been researched by scientists and found to be authentic.

Background: My family attends an English speaking independent fundamental Baptist church in Germany. I am not comfortable asking certain questions at the church because I don't really think the people there are equipped to discuss many subjects on a meaningful level, and I do not want to disrupt what has become something of a social club for my wife. My church growing up was a pre-1995 Southern Baptist one. Revelation 3:9 King James Version (KJV) Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. John 8:44 King …

Hello Family of God, I have had a most difficult time composing this message due to hindrances brought about by evil forces at work using human agencies. And it's not only through human agencies who are anti-Gospel, but literal nonhuman entities who have made a tremendous effort in trying to put a stop to my ministry, which involves exposing the archenemy and his restless agents of darkness attempting to put an end to me. I ask my dear brothers and sisters in Christ to pray that I may continue my ministry until the time the Lord decides to take me home. I decided to place this message in the false religions forum because counterfeit "Christianity" is not Christianity…

The accumulation of things or idols made with hands is surely the False religion of Today, or lets say the End Times. For as in previous generations, the ungodly and even the seemingly godly have always been into the HERE and NOW rather than the ETERNAL possessions of spiritual values, as with humility, courage, wisdom, love etc etc... The religion of the vast majority whether in the West or the East is MATERIALISM and they dedicate their lives to gathering it so they can either die with it or pass it on theoretically to their families. Sometimes they blatantly are cargo cults, sometimes just preaching ' prosperity is godliness doctrines', or sometimes just talk…

Does anybody know anything about Bethel Sozo? It seems that this charismatic ministry is taking over many churches in the Uk. I have been told that they take over a church and turn it into a bsiness selling their books and trainging courses, etc. It seems they are run from Bethel Church, Redding CA. My friend who was formerly associated with a local church taken over by them says it is pure witchcraft. I could not find from their site, what a Sozo is but it seems you have to sign a liability release form before undertaking their "training" See 5th item down on this page, http://www.bethelsozo.org.uk/advice-and-resources

Who Can be Saved?? All, Anyone, Everyone, Who so ever Calls on the Name of the Lord!! 1 Tim. 2:3-4 ". . . God does draw all to Him as HE is unwilling that any perish But you are free to reject God's love=your choice!! Yes!! I am a Catholic who attends the local Catholic parish on Saturday Vigil Mass. I also attend the local Baptist Church on Sunday mornings where I was Baptized via immersion(as a public profession of faith that I gave my life to Christ some 20 years ago) on 21 May 2017. I am both Catholic and Baptist as the result of having been Baptized via immersion at that Baptist Church. In the fall I will take membership preparation class in order to become a member of that Baptist Church I attend on Sunday mornings.

A friend and I talked to two Mormon Missionaries who approached us as we worked on my sons truck. It turned into an hour + conversation. They got very interested when I told them I attended the Mormon Church as a boy. Their Joy left when I told them I was an Assistant Pastor of a Baptist Church. I have talked to many mormons and Mormon missionaries. They all have something different to say. The last one ( about a year ago) said the Book of Mormon was just a bunch of stories to help us understand the Bible. :loco These guys had certain verses memorized which they quoted way way way out of context to fit baptism of the dead and the like. When I asked them to turn …
