Hope the song, 'Be Still My Soul,' by Bridget Young, is a blessing to your heart as you meditate on the things of God in your life. "But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah." Psalm 4:3-4 God bless you all. Alan

Now this is a head scratcher. I always notice the Biblical content of songs, don't you? This Bluegrass album, by Daily and Vincent was playing at the house yesterday and this one was on it. Now I've heard many times of the false doctrine of getting to Heaven by your "deeds measuring up". But why in the world would anyone want a "place on Calvary"? Jesus took your place on Calvary! It appears that whoever wrote this song has no idea what salvation is about. "A Place On Calvary" Lower my body And lift my soul And tell me to come on home have Let me leave this world of sin 'Cause heaven is were I want to roam tI'll bow my head Raise my hands oGet …

This is our little family band, posing on the front porch of my 3xgreat grandfather's log house. The house was removed by archaeologists, from it's original location in the piney woods to a museum in Panama City, Florida. I like to "bluegrassize" some of the old hymns and sprituals. We also do alot of Doyle Lawson's stuff and are starting to write some.

We had a special blessing today at church, Victory Baptist Church, Hua Lien, Taiwan. One of our younger converts has been learning how to play the piano. Her name is Shelly Gwoh. Shelly loves the Lord, loves the church and loves to serve the Lord and we were able to hear her play at the church service today. My family and I are on vacation in Wisconsin this week, and we found a really good Christian music station. From what we've heard so far, they play mostly Wilds/Northland/Soundforth/Majesty stuff. I heard a song last night that I believe is called "Woe Is Me," based on Isaiah 6. I've googled several combinations of the phrases, but nothing comes up. The chorus went something like this... Woe is me, woe is me, For I am a man undone, My voice can only praise thy name, And worship thy dear son. Woe is me, woe is me, My lips though unclean shall sing, Lord purge my sin, revive my heart, For mine eyes have seen the King. Has anyone heard of this song and know…

5 year old, Caleb Goolsby sings as I accompany him with guitar. He's singing......."God's Little People". His mother and dad are so proud of him. He's such a blessing to our church. PreacherE and his wife Kendrajoy play a big part in Caleb's discipleship. With this talent at such a young age is God given.

Have faith in God 1) Have faith in God when your pathway is lonely, He sees and knows all the way you have trod; Never alone are the least of His children; Have faith in God, Have faith in God. Chorus: Have faith in God, He's on the throne; Have faith in God, He watcheth o'er His own; He cannot fail, He must prevail; Have faith in God, Have faith in God. 2) Have faith in God when your prayers are unanswered, Your earnest plea he will never forget; Wait on the Lord, trust His Word and be patient; Have faith in God he will answer yet. Chorus 3) Have faith in God in your pain and your sorrow,His heart is touched with your grief and despair; Cast all your cares and …

Yesterday we saw a vehicle that had a bumper sticker that said, "The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah". This vehicle also had a license plate with the word, "Zion" in it. So we were thinking that the owner of the vehicle was of the Christian persuasion in some way. Then we noticed some small stickers on the window that looked like Alice Cooper w/o the face paint. :o Our immediate thought was, "Those stickers don't go with the bumper sticker and license plate". Upon closer inspection, we saw that the stickers were of a "Christian" rock group. The "artist" looked like a heavy metal druggie. Folks, if there is no difference in how your …

This song is amazing! I heard it and listened to its words, it is just simply amazing! Here are the words to this song read them carefully. A mighty fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing; Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe doth seem to work us woe; his craft and power Are great, and, armed with cruel hate, On earth is not his equal. Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God's own choosing. Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus it is He!; Lord Sabaoth is His name, from age to age the same, and He must win the battle. And though this …

Here's a little something I made, nothing too special, might work with it a little more later. No, I didn't play it with my hands, I told the computer which notes to play; easier to change a note if you make a mistake. I can't play piano that well with my hands. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInf ... ID=4277120

I especially love verse 3... CHILDREN OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER Children of the heav?nly Father Safely in His bosom gather; Nestling bird nor star in Heaven Such a refuge e?er was given. God His own doth tend and nourish; In His holy courts they flourish; From all evil things He spares them; In His mighty arms He bears them. Neither life nor death shall ever From the Lord His children sever; Unto them His grace He showeth, And their sorrows all He knoweth. Though He giveth or He taketh, God His children ne?er forsaketh; His the loving purpose solely To preserve them pure and holy. Lo, their very hairs He numbers, And no daily care encumbers Them t…

I listen to FBN Radio the majority of the time; however, I recently found this internet station called Abiding Radio. It can be listened to online and on smart devices. You can choose to listen to different streams...instrumental, Sacred (singing), Kids, or Seasonal. You can also listen to it from their website or have it play on your media player. Edited to add...this is a music only station. http://www.abidingradio.org/listen/
