As time goes bye, churches are opening up to adding drums and more to the worship. I brought this up once before, but I am open to drums and more, instruments. Maybe others jump on the bandwagon by now. Chances are not always good, but Hymnal only, we are loosing ground. Do I support Hymns, absolutely. But I am thinking of the future church worship, and where it is going. Trying to keep the youths in its churches.

My family and I are on vacation in Wisconsin this week, and we found a really good Christian music station. From what we've heard so far, they play mostly Wilds/Northland/Soundforth/Majesty stuff. I heard a song last night that I believe is called "Woe Is Me," based on Isaiah 6. I've googled several combinations of the phrases, but nothing comes up. The chorus went something like this... This song keeps popping up on my social media feed, and those who know me are aware that I'm not against the creation of new songs. Nevertheless, I find it puzzling why this song, like many new ones, doesn't even mention the word "God." Many songs leave it up to the listener to interpret the "he" and "me" as whoever they want it to be. The Hymn Makers series. Has anyone ever listened to these? I believe there's about 21-23 different hymn writers covered including Isaac Watts, John Newton/William Cowper (my favorite), Fanny Crosby, Charles Wesley and Ira D. Sankey. They are done in a traditional manner by the St. Michael's Singers and Coventry Cathedral among others. I highly recommend them. They used to be very difficult to obtain but now are readily available on YouTube and Spotify.

Has anyone here ever sung in a language other than English for voice training purposes? We had a choice of Italian or German. I chose German. It can be very helpful for hitting and holding a high note. For instance English uses the diphthong. A diphthong, also known as a gliding vowel, is a combination of two adjacent vowel sounds within the same syllable. An example of this is our long 'A' sound. We actually start with the long 'A' sound a followed by the long 'E' sound. Try it. Say the word 'Day" and listen closely. Hi I'm The choir director Of my church and I'm looking to see if Anyone knows where I could find some of the Mull's Singing Convention Number 4 song books. We use them a lot at church But they are falling apart on us. Would love to find some in better condition. If you know where I could find it that would be great I live in Franklin North Carolina.

I'm finding that many churches today don't seem to worship the Lord Jesus Christ, but rather their opinions and man-based doctrines. Dictatorial pastors have become the norm in many churches, and it's a shame.....I want to remember daily that only JESUS is worthy of our praise! This song has been on my heart and mind for the past few weeks. I hope this helps exalt JESUS in your life, and edifies you as much as it has me. I hope that it will also help motivate you to share Christ with one person today!

Heather Sorenson is a very accomplished composer and musician. He father, Dr. David Sorenson, was my youth pastor and the Associate pastor of the church I grew up in in Illinois. I've been listening to a lot of Heather's music lately interspersed with my classical music regimine. What a blessing to hear such great, Christian music and have it available. I hope you enjoy this worship song as much as I have today.

When I was in Bible college at Maranatha Baptist Bible College, now Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, WI (http://www.mbu.edu) I heard this piece of music most of November and all of our time in the dorms during December 1982. It reminds me of Christmas every time I hear it...and I often wonder how J.S. Pachelbel would react 300+ years later knowing that people are still listening to this wonderful piece of music. Enjoy.

I grew up with these men at the Faith Baptist Church of Pekin, IL during the 70s...until their father was called to go to seminary in Pontiac, MI. The Tharp Brothers are good singers, preachers and have their children in Christian service! Praise the Lord for good, sound music, and for faithful ministers of the Word. If you do not know who the Getty's are, please look them up before posting. Have you noticed that the new Majesty hymnal contains music from the Gettys/Sovereign Grace? What is your opinion on that? I find it an outrage that they are digging through garbage to find good music. I think it is sad I can't just buy a CD from a trusted source without knowing if there is CCM behind the music. Why aren't pastors stepping up and writing the Hamiltons? Why aren't we fighting for our music? Why have we stopped caring about associations? Don't people understand as soon as a weaker Christian hears you listening to something like "Amazing Grace My Chains are Gone" they will automatic…

God is obviously beginning to focus on the JEW, and that means the "time of the Gentiles', is .......soon to be completed. It will be interesting to see what Iran does now.....as they will only become more offensive regarding the perspective of the world-view..... from now on. What LEADERS of countries now realize is that Iran will shoot weapons of mass destruction toward CIVILIANS.... Ballistic Missiles Cruise Missiles Drones with war heads. They just sent over 300 of these to try to kill the CITIZENS in Israel. Nothing was aimed at a base or a runway or Troops. IRAN tried to KILL The citizens in Israel, as they always do, with all the Thousands of Rockets that are sent for years and years... from Lebanon, or by Hezbollah, or Hamas, = Gaza. Israel just last night bombed a BASE in Iran, and destroyed a large Radar Tower. They didnt try to kill any IRAN Civilians, because Israel is not the murdering mob..... Israel is a tiny country trying to stay alive.....and God will make certain of it...... IRAN is the murdering mob that sends in their Proxy's... like Hezbollah, and Hamas......who use humans as body shields, and they will kill Jews, Americans, Brits, Australians, Germans......= anything that isn't a Quran worshiping muslim. These demonic MULLAH's who control all this.......From Iran, they sit there and "mouse click"....>"OK< we need Hamas to do this, and Hezbollah to do that".. And what IRAN does not comprehend, is that Israel is a War Machine backed by God that will not just fight in Gaza... they will take their fight right down the Throat's of these Iranian "leadership", who seem to believe they are insulated... They are going to find this out the hard way, now that they have opened the Door to become "under the Gun" regarding GOD's MIGHTY Little nation.
