This topic probably belongs in another forum. But I didn't see one that looks quite right for it. There is a question that has always come to my mind and I have found no answer for. Pastors I have asked have offered no help. None of my reading has covered it. So hopefully some where out there some one can clear my question. If I may, I would like to request the guidance of others on this Forum regarding the issue of gender-specific dress. A few years ago, when I read Deuteronomy 22:5, “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God” I took that instruction to heart and stopped wearing trousers. Occasionally, I come across women (usually women from my place of employment but this would also happen at the Southern Baptist Church I used to attend) who ask me why I never wear pants but only long skirts and dresses. I used to be a trichotomist until perhaps half a year ago. For about half a year, I've been a dichotomist now. I'm wondering what your guys' opinion is and why as well as the practical implications of your opinion. I believe that all truth has a practical application, and so I believe that dichotomy has it's practical application as well, but it has a lot to do with reformed theology, though it doesn't have to. So I want to know what you guys would say about it first.

Thanks to the Duggar family, Christians are now officially the most despised group in America. We were already almost there, but now I think the world officially hates us. Even though I don't consider their brand of Christianity to be the same as mine, the world doesn't care. They lump everybody in together, and now they equate anti-gay with being a pervert. Great.

I was discussing this with a friend and thought it would make an interesting topic since everybody is different. Think about the differences between the woman at the well and Nicodemus. The woman who had never even met Jesus before believed immediately and easily and went to tell others about Him. Nicodemus was more cautious, maybe needing some intellectual answers. Jesus kindly and graciously (He didn't upbraid him for coming to Him at night for secrecy) answered Nicodemus' questions and taught him about salvation. Anyway, the question is: did faith come easily for you? Tell us about it. :smile
