What is the "Unpardonable Sin". I've always heard that if someone commits this sin, then they're not going to be concerned about it. I have been going through a very bad place spiritually recently, it's become hard to read my Bible because I keep thinking I committed this sin. For about 4 years I resisted conviction from the Holy Spirit, and finally after those 4 years I stopped resisting and looked to Jesus for forgiveness and direction. Now after 10 months of reading the Bible and praying daily, I am at this state where I realize I have even some bitterness towards God ( I know it's horrible, but I can't change even though I really want to). I've read that the unp…

Psalm 119:1,3 Psalm 128:1 Proverbs 2:7 Proverbs 6:12 Proverbs 10:9 Proverbs 19:1 Proverbs 28:18 Ecclesiastes 2:14, 10:7 Walking Even though they mention a physical act, the verses above are not speaking about physically putting one foot in front of the other. "Walking", in these verses, speaks of the "manner of life" or "manner of conduct". There are many more verses which do this.... Ephesians 2:10, 4:1, 5:2, 5:15. etc. etc. But here is the one I want to focus on......... JOB 2:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 1. If you cross a des…

Well we just had a couple leave tonight. He was our Junior Church person. (We do have a couple who will probably be able to take over). The sad part is, the kids loved them. They even babysat our kids a few times. But he left, complaining about the fact we have no deacons, no special music, nobody out soulwinning (hmm including HIM), and that the church services are "dead". We assume he wanted to be one of those "deacons" but he is not faithful enough as he is often away visiting relatives. They are a retired couple. We also had a very low night tonight. My husband thinks it might be for the best, if he was going to be too proud to stick it out and help the …

“Bus Ride to the Future” by Caryl Matrisciana By Caryl Matrisciana When I was twenty years old, my family returned from India, where I was born and lived for most of my life, to England, our homeland. It was during the turbulent sixties, and I was about to be introduced to a movement that didn’t even have a name yet. How could I […] The post “Bus Ride to the Future” by Caryl Matrisciana appeared first on . View the full article

I recently came across a powerful quote from an 18th century English pastor named Job Orton. Ironically, he wrote to the ministers of his day about doctrinal compromise. The struggles of churches nearly 300 years ago are the struggles of churches today. Read what he says: “I have long since found (and every year that I live increases my conviction of it), that when ministers entertain their people with lively and pretty things, confine themselves to general harangues, insist principally on moral duties, without enforcing them warmly and affectionately by evangelical motives; while they neglect the peculiars of the gospel, never or seldom display the grace of God, and the…

Do you ever have trouble “standing still?” I do too! I prefer ministry in motion over ministry sitting still. I like to move forward serving God, and I like things I’m investing in to move forward. To me, it’s exciting to be engaged in Kingdom work—to invest, to serve, to encourage, and to reach as many people as possible with the gospel. Jesus gave us a mission, and I love to be on mission. But sometimes “standing still” is a good thing. Sometimes God says, “go forward” and sometimes God says “stand still.” So, which does God want us to do? Stand still? Or go forward? This past week, our office received a wonderful email from an AWANA mother who was facing a deep…
