Especially at college, I hear a lot of differing opinions about women and pants. Some say women are cross-dressing when they wear pants, but is that really so? Some also say that pants cause men to struggle more than a skirt does, is that true as well? I've heard men go both ways on this subject. I'd like some (biblical!) opinions so I can form my own.

Ok, please don't get scared! LoL! I'm not starting a debate!!! I just have a question. I hope I don't get in trouble for this but I don't know who Ruckman is..... :hide I only just realized it was in reference to a man when I Googled him! lol! I did a little bit of quick reading and saw right away that it looks like he isn't KJVo.....is that the only doctrinal issue with him or is their more?

Homosexuality is a rapidly growing trend within the CCM movement. It is not a new thing, but formerly it was fairly hidden. In the 1997 edition of The Gospel Sound, which first appeared in 1971, Anthony Heilbut said, “The gospel church has long been a refuge for gays and lesbians, some of whom grew up to be among the greatest singers and musicians.” In 1998 gospel star Kirk Franklin said that “homosexuality ... is a problem today in gospel music--a major concern--and everybody knows it” (Church Boy, pp. 49, 50). More recently Douglas Harrison, a homosexual who grew up Southern Baptist, said, “... you can’t swing a Dove Award without hitting upon evidence of the long…

http://withchrist.org/MJS/armcalpaul.htm I want to know what you guys think of this article. The two errors I see id that it misrepresents Calvinism to an extent that it only considers Covenant Theology Calvinists to be Calvinist and they fail to elaborate on what their view on grace, atonement, and election are; they give an extremely vague description. At the same time, they claim to be dispensationalists and fail to elaborate on that as well.

I really hate to think I'm stirring up any trouble with this, but some of the conversations lately have left me a bit confused. Many have spoken negatively about Calvinists, but no seems to bother defining what they mean by that term. I know what Jean Cauvin (John Calvin) taught, and I know what most who consider themselves Calvinists teach, which is actually more of a spectrum that a specific view. I also know that it's very easy to define a group by some extremists in the group and not really bother looking at that whole (look at how often that's done with Christians as well as Fundamentalists) I do find it offensive the way some (hyper-Calvinists) imply God whimsical…

Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. 1Co 9:14 There is a poster, Standing in Christ (I name him because I believe in being transparent and it’s biblical to name those that oppose the truth) that has stated in no uncertain terms that a pastor; and by extension, missionaries are out of God’s will to seek compensation. He has stated and implied very publicly that those servants of Christ who have sought and receive such economic support are lazy, of no account, faithless and unbiblical. I feel compelled at the very least to challenge this brother’s faulty premise. Is there any biblical evidence to indicate that we…

The following is an excerpt from http://www.reformedtheology.ca/baptism.html Hey, Why not.....If we are 'totally inable" to believe by our own choice, might as well baptize us as helpless babies huh?...it's no different. I mean, some of the 'reformed' crowd even believe that deceased 'non-elect' babies go to Hell too. I know the article above is by a Presbyterian, but why don't the 'reformed' folks just yoke up with them as well; they sure ain't Fundamental Baptists.

(NOTE: my wife has already posted this on the ladies side of the house, I just wanted to get some response from the rest of you. Thanks.) hmmm. Our pastor mentioned in his sermon yesterday, that black people should marry black people and that white people should marry white people and so forth, but then he said, that this was in the KJV. He didn't give a specific reference to where this could be found (and i've never heard of this until now), and when asked about the reference, he said that he was going to give a complete sermon on it later. This is really bothering my wife and I. The only place that we can think of that mentions anything like this is in the old testam…

Its basically known that youth pastors generally stay for only like 2-3 years before moving on. Especially the college grads who are using the position as a stepping stone to get their own pastorate, or even just a bigger ministry. In this case, what good is it to get a youth pastor? A youth pastor bonds with the kids, and has to be there at LEAST long enough to see kids get from 7th grade to graduation, to do much good in their lives. I know we've had to leave ministries before after a year, or a few years, but in each case there was a specific reason we had to leave and it wasn't just "bigger and better" or something. Just curious....I notice some of the stro…

I'm curious.....how do you as an IFB view SBC? I had discussed this with someone & they (being SBC) thought IFB people feel that SBC's weren't going to heaven? I thought that was a broad statement to make and I didn't agree with their thinking. So, how do you feel about SBC? I feel that if you're in a good SBC church, in many regards it's not a lot different than IFB. Your thoughts? Details please.

The author (no idea who he is and I've not looked beyond this article at the website I found it on) claims this to be a balanced view of this topic. Does anyone agree or disagree with him? If so, please expound. (And this author is OBviously not KJO) Predestination vs. Free Will - Is It One or the Other? by Rich Deem Introduction One of the major controversies among Christians is the extent of predestination that God has ordained. At the extremes are those who claim that God uses only one to the exclusion of the other. Either extreme is wrong, since the Bible clearly indicates that both predestination and free will are in operation. Predestination In order to fu…

Lucas has just become a Christian. He wants to get a tattoo to remember the date. He decides to ask a Christian coworker if he should, as he had heard some considered tattoos wrong. What should he say to him? What would you say to him? God bless, Joel ><>. 2 Chronicles 7:14; Romans 5:8.

In order not to derail the "Hannah Montana" thread, I've pasted this quote here. Do you believe that alcohol in and of itself is sin? For example, is it wrong to eat a food that has alcohol in it? Many foods, even chocolate, contain some degree of alcohol in them. If it is a sin in and of itself, it would be wrong to eat such things. After considering such verses as our liberty in Christ and our freedom to eat whatever is put before us as well as Romans 14:14 that states that in and of itself is nothing unclean, I believe that the alcohol issue is one of testimony and discernment. I believe that it is our freedom to drink alcohol but that it is unwise and even foolish …

Last weekend I was preaching in South Jersey and on Saturday night the pastor had me over for dinner. We were talking when he started telling me that they had some missionaries they supported that were sent out by Ruckman's mission board. The missionaries were supported before this pastor came. The pastor wanted to know what these missionaries believed, so he sent them a questioner with a few Ruckamn things on it like what do you believe about advanced revelation, abortion, aliens, double inspiration, and etc. To make a long story short, the church ended up dropping one of the missionaries support because the answer was "I will follow Ruckman to the day I die". I thoug…

I believe it is a sin to send your kids to public school. I've been challenged by family members regarding how far I take this. Let me first give the basis for my belief and then I'll expand on the problem. I believe it violates this verse: Pro 19:27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. It violates it because of the many ways the public schools will cause your children to err if they believe what is taught. If God says we shouldn't hear it, how much worse must it be for us to send our impressionable kids to be taught it. The biggies are evolution and humanism. Most serious-minded Bible believers would agree so far.…

So far in the discussion on Ray Boltz nobody has made mention of the scriptural fallout as a result of his so-called "coming out of the closet." In other words, since Ray Boltz is a homosexual, I wonder how many of you are willing to obey the scriptures and separate from him by throwing away any and all tapes, CDs, sheet music, ect of his that you might have? 1 Corinthians 5:11 -"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."

I was unsaved and married to a man who abused me verbally, emotionally, physically and was seeing not women but young teenage girls, impregnating them, and yes, taking drugs, selling them, and drinking. But other than that.... We had a baby boy. People ask why stayed with him for so long (6 years). Unless you have been there it is hard to understand. You lose all your identity, self esteem, you work yourself to death trying to measure up to his standards which were impossible to reach, and because he blamed me for everything, I didn't believe I would ever be free. But one day I got up enough nerve and left. I was a mess. But with the help of family and meeting ne…
