With each new year, I find myself more earnestly desiring to live each day wholly for Christ and to fulfill His calling on my life. As I pray for our church family and friends around the globe, my prayer for each of you is that God would give you the clarity, grace, and courage to pursue Him in this new year and that it would be a fruitful year to His glory! One of the things I love about the dawning of a new year is the natural momentum it carries and the opportunity for setting goals and revitalizing the important areas of our lives. As we look forward to 2024, I wanted to share three resources with you that I pray will be a help to you in this new year: Daily in…

Acts.2 [1] And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. [2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. [3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. What does cloven tongues like as of fire means?

The name Shubal Stearns is familiar to students of Baptist history. And it is familiar to the church family at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, where I preached yesterday. Shubal Stearns was saved under the preaching of George Whitfield during the American Great Awakening. After his salvation, Stearns, through study of Scripture, became a Baptist. A few years later, in 1755, he planted the Sandy Creek Baptist Church in North Carolina. As Stearns preached the gospel, God blessed, and what became known as the Sandy Creek Revival swept the region. Within three years, the church had baptized over nine hundred new converts. Stearns began itinerant preaching trips which result…

I used these words much in the past. We are living in a troubled times. But, when I did a biblical search, I could not find that it is mentioned. Troubled times, do strange times, sound better or correct?

Who invented that there were three kings who brought gifts to the baby Jesus. I did a Bible quick search and put three kings and these were the only verses that popped up. 😇 later mentioned three magicians with names, one being black, who first brought this story. Why isn’t it properly teach what the Bible says, in our churches today? 👑 2Kgs.3 [10] And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab! [13] And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto …

I recently was browsing a collection of what I believe are assigned readings for certain Baptist colleges and I was able to find a book called, “A Company Of Woman Preachers, Baptist Prophetesses In Seventeenth-Century England.” Why do some members of the Christian faith despite concrete scriptural evidence that the pastoral office is limited to males continue to perpetuate these theories?

I've come across many Baptist pastors and parishoners who listen to the speakers in this clip on a regular basis. They are being filled with the heretical teachings of these people. I pray they'll learn from this clip.

Now we all know that Mary was Jesus earthly mother. Why don’t you ever listen or in years hear pastors or preachers preach a complete message on Mary, the mother of Jesus? Specially In a Baptist church, for she was chosen by God, but often is left out.

I’ve been attending a Southern Baptist Spanish church for sometime now, I am a independent Baptist, and bilingual, I notice that the last 2 pastors preaching great messages but are not doing altar calls, like they should be doing, being the Baptist church SHC and it’s teachings. You may ask me, why are you not going to an independent Spanish Baptist church? Well, there’s not many of those around. I do attend both for my wife sake, she prefers attending a Spanish service for now. I also attend and listen to the IBC preaching in English. My questions is, why are pastors preaching and not asking visitors or members, if they will like to accept Jesus Christ for Salvation. Th…

Pastors are surrounded by stress-inducing circumstances. Whether it be the uncivil culture in which we minister, family burdens, financial pressure, dealing with problems in the church, or any number of other factors, stress is a daily reality for pastors. But if stress is a daily realty for pastors, the availability of God’s grace is too. Jesus told us, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). In this new episode of the Spiritual Leadership Podcast, I share eight practical ways to appropriate God’s grace in dealing with pastoral stress. W…

Matthew 24 15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 2…

1Cor.1 [18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. [20] Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God madefoolish the wisdom of this world? [21] For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by thefoolishness of preaching to save them that believe. [23] But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; [25] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. [27] But God hath chosen the…

Several days ago, our church hosted our annual World Impact Missions Conference. One of our guest speakers for the conference was Dr. Kevin Folger, who is the North American Director for Spiritual Leadership Asia. The Spiritual Leadership Asia initiative has grown as God has continued to open amazing doors of opportunity for ministry in some of the most spiritually-needy places of the world. In this short bonus episode of the Spiritual Leadership Podcast, Dr. Folger and I discuss the three aspect of Spiritual Leadership Asia and share how you can pray for billions of souls in the 10/40 window who need the gospel. For more information on the 2025 conference, Bible distri…

I keep seeing people online comparing the colors of the Palestinian flag, and other Islamic flags, to the colors of the four horses of the apocalypse. But the King James calls the last one a "pale" horse instead of "green". Am I missing something? I'm not saying their flags' representations aren't intrinsically evil(I believe they are) But I'm thinking this is a bit of a stretch. No?

Hi all, blessings. I've been in a number of different christian forums posting with others, and two main off beam teachings keep re-occuring and gaining popularity. The first is baptismal regeneration. Seems a whole lot of people get confused between the Holy Spirit empowering a group or individual, baptism by immersion and eternal salvation. And most forums, the individuals who adhere to baptismal regeneration don't get kicked out, but can just continue in there as long as they like. The other- is lowering Christ's deity, so He is lesser than the Father. Some Messianic Jews do this-- who haven't fully let go of Judaism. Obviously.. Orthodox Jews do.. Un…

One of the highlights to me of World Impact Missions Conference at Lancaster Baptist Church is seeing missionaries who grew up at Lancaster Baptist and/or graduated from West Coast Baptist College and and are now serving the Lord on mission fields around the world. (The picture above is of WCBC alumni who were here for Missions Conference ’23 earlier this week and are now planting churches around the world.) The Lord has allowed us to see many young people from our own church family—kids who grew up right here in our Sunday school classes and, in many cases, whose parents trusted Christ through the outreach ministry of our church—who are now preaching the gospel in fore…
