Through out the years of my living, it appear to me less importance in the ministry. People and times are changing, before the man was the weaker vessel, in temptation. Now young ladies are not satisfied, with men being polite, waiting. The man was always the blame for not waiting to have sex, no longer. I'm not saying all woman, but a higher percentage of them are on fire. Men don't need to try hard or ask too, its has become a game. Part time lovers, nobody gets hurt. Sad

Hello, I hope this discussion thread may be helpful to others who hold a similar desire to pursue Bible College studies but distance contravenes. I am prayerfully considering studying with an IB Bible College held in America. My home-base is Aus, so flexible online study would be optimal. I've researched a couple of colleges, but would love to hear others input and recommendations for colleges offering distance learning. I do love hearing others' stories, if you have studied and graduated already. But am really looking at affordability and then from there , will help me narrow my options down. So grateful for this online forum! Love seeing many open discus…

Please pray for us. Selling or giving away practically everything (amazing how much 2 frugal people accumulate in 15 years after losing almost all in a hurricane and tornado). Giving "heirlooms" and such "family possessions" to my kids / grandkids. Looking for small motorhome for temp housing while on deputation for $6000 or less. (Target date for being on the field 31Dec19). Technologically challenged couple trying to put together presentation, etc. for deputation. Cracking down on seeking proficiency in Spanish for two old codgers. We are going on a "survey / fact-finding" trip 25Dec17-12Jan18. We are going to Nicaragua (missionary) probab…

This has been covered a little before. The rainbow has had its meaning hijacked in the past several years with the lgbtq agenda. How would we restore its meaning of God's promise to never flood the world again?

I believe the last one that I participated in at the church, was around two years ago. If people are not getting saved, and disciple that could make it, where there’s no baptism going on. Like the church that I am visiting. I’m not looking for the perfect church, but I did notice this. They are looking for a new preacher, it has been a while, maybe this could be the reason. I did mention it to one of the deacons, maybe he’ll bring it out in one of their meetings. This is not on the guest preacher‘s menu, baptism. I don’t know why the preacher below baptizing is dressed in black.

Time are changing and so are the baptist doctrine. I don’t know if Christians, are now more open to women preachers. It seems that they are opening to more liberal views, and life styles.

I just got word of another pastor who is now in trouble for sexual impropriety, resulting from a series of "counseling" sessions. Can someone show me where/how that pastoral "counseling" (as practiced today) is even mentioned in the New Testament?

Our Sunday sermon, yesterday, was from Luke Chapter 14 15And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.16Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: 17And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. 18And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. 19And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. 20And another s…
