Muslims refer to Jesus as a "good teacher" and not God incarnate because He "grew" in [wisdom and in stature] according to the bible. At the same time they believe that He performed miracles using His innate ability given by His Father in Heaven (e.g., clay turning into a dove). This is the devil's sneaky way of "exalting" Jesus only to "dishonor" Him in secret. Don't you just hate Satan? I don't think there's anything wrong with that! And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. (Luke 2:52) As to our Lord growing "Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" in Luke 2:52, it was because He was 100% human -…

STORM DUMPS 18 TRILLION GALLONS OF WATER (Friday Church News Notes, September 21, 2018, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Hurricane Florence, which made landfall in North Carolina on September 14, had dumped 18 trillion gallons of water by September 16. “That’s enough to fill the Chesapeake Bay or cover the entire state of Texas with nearly 4 inches of water” (“Florence aftermath,” FoxNews , Sep. 16, 2018). In April 2018, 50 inches of rain fell in a 24 hour period on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. In January 1966, 1.825 meters (6 feet or 71.8 inches) of rain fell in 24 hours in Foc-Foc, La Réunion, an island in the.. Read More View the fu…

I came across several men and women on the streets of Berkeley who were evangelizing; and they were screaming as they told EVERYONE that they were sinners who were going to burn in hell. I asked the leader of the group if he thought that he was a sinner, and he replied, "I am sinless and pure." I said, "how so?" and he replied, "my sins are forgiven, therefore I'm sinless and have no need to ask for forgiveness anymore." Sinless, according to scripture means not being "able" to sin; this is quite different from being purged of our sins and therefore being cleansed of it at the time we confess them. There is an application to be made from this passage that those who r…

“A 2005 poll by the Louis Finkelstein Institute for Social and Religious Research found that 60% of American medical doctors reject Darwinism, stating that they do not believe humans evolved through natural processes alone. What story will be told ten years from today? Early this morning I read a long document from seven years ago journaling the turmoil of God’s disruptive will in my life. At the time, I was recovering from cancer, and God was plowing up my heart and calling me into a blurry, fearful future. That three-page document details deep personal fears, weakness, and paralysis. It also details God’s direction and instruction. Do you know what I see from this vantage point, years later? I see lies that Satan was telling me. I see the danger I was in of potentially disobeying God and missing His best. I see how irrational my fear and hesitation really were, and how patient God was. …

This world is in such a mess that each morning when I wake up there's more trash happening on the news or elsewhere. I wholeheartedly believe that the Lord places these events in my life in order to use it for His divine purposel. It seems as if the feminist movement is on the rise more than ever this year; and there are even "Christian" women advocating that SHE ("God") loves us all. This is probably the same group of ancient demonic spirits which began disseminating the worship of Mary in the RCC almost 1,500 years ago. Jesus is a true human being -- since the incarnation -- and as such is a male (clearly). The Father and the Spirit (and the Son in His deity) are …

The following is from the February 2018 edition of Understanding Bible Prophecy , available from Way of Life Literature. Figurative language is an important part of human communication. We use figurative speech frequently in normal conversation (e.g., “he’s as fast as lightening”; “she broke his heart,” “he twists truth like a nose of wax”; “he has stirred up a hornet’s nest”). Men write songs, poetry, and works of fiction that incorporate figurative language. In the Bible, figurative language is used for the same purposes as in ordinary speech and it is interpreted by the same rules, but it is used for other purposes, as... Read Mo…

It was all day dealing with believers who blame Satan for every single hindrance in their everyday lives. There's traffic . . . Satan hindered me! The line is too long at Safeway . . . Satan hindered me! My wife just complained about me leaving my clothes in the dryer this morning . . . Satan hindered me! How about using these "hindrances" to their advantage to grow spiritually? Or to help others to do so? I could have just as well told him that he was hindering me with his incessant nagging, and that Satan was behind this! If you were trying to get through a door and I stood in your way (e.g., to be funny), that would "hinder you", would it not? But we can imagine G…

What makes me VERY indignant are "Christians" who are total sell-outs by betraying Jesus and completely abandoning Him for earthly pleasures -- for this is a Judas kiss. Sadly, I have known MANY in my life who have done just that. They have professed to be IN Christ and have abandoned Him after "walking" with Him for almost 20 years for earthly pleasures and stinking carnal desires. I often wondered about the amount of silver Judas had betrayed Jesus for, and what it would be equivalent to in today's wage in America. What length's would people go to do betray the one they "profess" to love with all their hearts? Of course . . . this would vary from individual to individua…

Giving the Gospel / Are You Ashamed of Christ? I had intended on writing a SHORT encouraging note to others about sharing the gospel. That truly was my main intent prior to setting about to type some thoughts and copy corresponding scripture down... But as often happens, the Lord put something else on my heart. I recently had a discussion with a fellow believer who admitted that he or she rarely shared the gospel with others. Since the conversation was somewhat recent, it may be why the Lord put it on my heart, BUT I think it may well be that it wasn't this person (in particular) but someone else (unknown to me whom) and perhaps ALL of us that could benef…

Benny Hinn once said that he wished that he could take a Holy Ghost machine gun and blast away at all those who accuse him of being a false teacher. Is this the way we deal with spiritual warfare? For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; (2 Corinthians 10:4) God sees things differently than we do. We are here not to acquire material wealth or amass professional success or attain fame or experience pleasure -- we Christians are here to serve Jesus, and to win eternal rewards thereby. If we were in a human war, we might not like it if we were ordered to assault a hill in the face of deadly enemy fire…

There are a lot of false bible teachers that teach that Jesus did not receive the Holy Spirit until His baptism based on this passage in scripture below. I'm awed that God hasn't sent fire down from Heaven and decimated these false teachers -- for He surely is EXTREMELY patient and VERY merciful! And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:16-17) As the "Anointed One" (Christ), Jesus was indeed filled with the Spirit from …

PROMINENT BJU-ASSOCIATED PASTOR DEFENDS USE OF “CONTEMPORARY HYMNS” (Friday Church News Notes, September 14, 2018, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Brian Fuller, Senior Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, Concord, New Hampshire, defended the use of contemporary worship hymns in a blog in 2012. This church has been called “the flagship of BJU-FBF (Bob Jones University-Fundamental Baptist Fellowship) in New England.” Its Christian Leadership Conference on March 31, 2012, featured Jim Berg of BJU and Matt and Christy Taylor of the Wilds. Fuller writes: “If I recall correctly, it was at our 2003 New England Leadership Conference that Dr. David Parker s…

I’ve been thinking about death lately and I think Its wrong. I’m afraid to die. I just lie and think “Does god exist?” I believe it’s just I end up questioning it so much. When I do get over it I get struck with will I go to hell? I live a tight life and I don’t have much time to go to church and I think that makes me ineligible for heaven. I’m only 14 but sometimes I curse and lie. I try to stop doing these things but I feel like god is disappointed in me. I cover up my feelings about death and act cool but I end up crying late at night. I’m so scared.

Pronounced "You - stri - anity". Defined as "A form of christianity which is focused entirely on the person presenting themselves as christian." All their christianity is focused on benefitting them. Could also be called "Me-strianity". Anyone ever heard of these two terms before? I know that we have all heard the description - seeker centered church, seeker sensitive church are prime examples, but has anyone heard the terms "Youstrianity" or "Mestrianity" before? If not then I want to claim them for my daughter- we were talking about stuff to do with the Christian life and she called it "Youstrianity" - when people forget about the Lord and make …
