Acts 20:28 "Feed the church of GOD, which he hath purchased with HIS OWN BLOOD." This verse is under attack by many modern versions because it clearly shows that the Lord Jesus Christ is GOD, and that GOD shed His blood to purchase the church. Those who oppose the full Godhead of the Lord Jesus Christ will alter this verse in several ways to either change, hide, or obscure the truth that it was GOD'S blood that purchased the church. The Traditional Byzantine Text that underlies the King James Bible says: poimainein thn ekklhsian tou qeou hn periepoihsato dia tou idiou aimatoV, - feed the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." The Westcott-Hort t…

Acts 24:6-8 Are these verses inspired Scripture or do the NIV editors not know how to count? In the King James Bible we read of the high priest and the elders of Israel accusing the apostle Paul before Herod's judgment hall. Among the things they accuse Paul of are these words: 24: 6 "Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, AND WOULD HAVE JUDGED ACCORDING TO OUR LAW. 24:7 BUT THE CHIEF CAPTAIN LYSIAS CAME UPON US, AND WITH GREAT VIOLENCE TOOK HIM AWAY OUR OF OUR HANDS, 24:8 COMMANDING HIS ACCUSERS TO COME UNTO THEE: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him." All the capitalized words are found …

A few of my commentaries from E-Sword states that "Jacob" should have been named instead of "Abraham" in Acts 7:16 and this made me wonder why since God's Word is infallible. Acts 7:16 (King James Version) 16And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

Acts 7:20-- "In which time Moses was born, and was EXCEEDING FAIR, and nourished up in his father's house three months." I am continually amazed at the barrage of silly arguments raised against the authority and accuracy of the King James Bible. As for those who raise objections to the text of the King James Bible, I have yet to find one of them who actually has any Bible version they defend as being the pure, preserved, infallible words of God. Instead, "every man doeth that which is right in his own eyes" and they become their own final authority with a mystical bible that exists only in their own minds. Such an example of ignorantly trying to "correct" the KJB is f…

Acts 9:7 with Acts 22:9 Heard the voice or didn't hear the voice? Amazingly, some Christians bring up these two Scriptures and think there is an error. At a Bible club I belong to, one member says: For those of you who think there are no errors or contradictions in the KJV please explain this one. This is a small matter but makes the point. KJV Acts 9:7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. KJV Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. This most certianly appears to me to be a contradiction, did they "hear a v…

Did Adam Have A Priestly Position? Reading 'Searching for ADAM, Terry Mortenson, Editor He contrasts the verbs of Genesis 2:15 with the verbs in Numbers 3:7-10. Adams job description with that of the Levitical Priesthood. I thought the possibility intriguing enough to garner thoughts from others. Adam the first created priest! Personally, having yet to compare other scripture, I will be looking further.

IS THE RECEIVED TEXT BASED ON A FEW LATE MANUSCRIPTS? Republished March 18, 2004 (first published March 16, 2000) (David Cloud, Fundamental Baptist Information Service, P.O. Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. From the day God said this all families continued until a member was blessed by Isaac's descendants or Ishmael's descendants. Think about all the families wiped out when the Jews took their homeland the 1st time. Before that happened Abram or a descendant had been a blessing to them. Think of all the gentile peoples God kept a family member alive until a missionary told them the Good News of Jesus. Think of all the American Indians!!! God amazes me over and over.

http://www.chick.com/ask/articles/virgin.asp © 2002 by David W. Daniels Question: Concerning the virgin birth of Jesus spoken of in Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:22-23, some have said that the KJV source actually says, "young woman". If this is so, how did the KJV writers translate it to be "a virgin"? Answer: The KJV translators translated "almah" as "virgin" because that's what it means in the text. Here's why: First of all, it would not be a "sign" if it said "a young woman will bring forth a child". It's no miracle for a woman to have a baby. Second, in Matthew 1:23, the Jewish writer Matthew tells us what the prophet said. Writing in Greek, he quoted t…

On another thread some information was posted, sans sources of course, and basically I have more than a few books about King James, so here are some quotes from a few. King James was a baby sprinkling Protestant, yet his godly character, his virtuous and kind disposition are attested to by many historians, secular and Christian. To state that King James was not godly, is simple ignorance. History confirms his Christian testimony intact. __________________________________________________________________________ King James was not a godly man. Hmm? let?s see? King James believed that the Bible was dictated by God. ?The whole scripture is dictated by God?s …

http://dannycarlton.net/KJVniv/ I copied it from the Far Eastern Bible College in Singapore to reference on my own computer, but when they removed it (for bandwidth reasons I believe) I got permission from them to put it on my own site. It has some excellent information in a very concise format. A great study outline.

An House Not Made With Hands How many scriptures can be found dealing with the invisible work of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life? 2 Corinthians 5 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the self…

This is a quote I read recently online, and I thought it might spark some interest. And just to clarify, I'm neither of these girls, and I'm more than happy with my King James Bible. While I didn't want to enter a debate or argument on this topic (and so haven't replied to either of these quotes), I am interested to hear what y'all think. Does anyone know about this book? What do you think of the second quote?

over at Will's (brandplucked) site... http://pub76.ezboard.com/fav1611godswor ... 1049.topic Check it out, Whad'ya think? Are the 'modern per-versions' from the mind of God to the mind of man? Are we KJV Only folks the antagonists in this issue? Do people who deny the Bible, and call Jesus a liar, spend an eternity in bliss? Are Westcott & Hort 'safe in the arms' of Jesus? Could I ask ANY more questions?

http://www.bright.net/~bkrajcik/olrugged.mid An Open Letter To A Friend About the Bible, I'm sorry you are of the mind you don't have one that does not have errors various places, so that you are not able to trust what is said. The word was given by inspiration of God, and is preserved. The word does not stop being God's word. If you have something that is not given by inspiration of God, stop calling it the word of God. If any have words that are not given by inspiration of God they are not handling the word of God. If you have a

What an opening statement in Ephesians! What a chapter! For me, it was clear these Bible verses describe Christ’s birth, death, and resurrection. Birth 1 PAUL, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:1, 2 Grace and Peace – It is the blessing to Christians world wide to think of Jesus Christ’s birth at this time of year. The scriptures we read and the song’s we sing all relate to the birth of our Savior. …

After a question in BakerHalfDozen's contest page concerning a man seeing an angel rise in a flame, I felt that I knew of two different correct answers. The answer BHD was seeking was 'Manoah, who saw the angel of the Lord rise ina flame. I pointed out another occasion were a man saw angels rising in a flame. This account, of course, was that of Elisha watching Elijah rise in a whirlwind in a chariot of fire. Now, I know Elijah was not an angel, man does not become an angel...this is clear. But, Scripture tells us that the chariot not only was drawn by horses, but was also driven by horsemen. I believe those 'horsemen' were angels. Thoughts?

I'm working on a downloaded book: A STUDY OF THE KING JAMES VERSION OF THE BIBLE AND ITS INFLUENCE ON LIFE AND LITERATURE BY CLELAND BOYD McAFEE, D.D. May, 1912 I'm eliminating the hard returns in paragraphs and will add hyperlinks within the document from the contents to the appropriate section. I'm over half way with the hard returns. Maybe others here would be interested in the turn of the previous century (I think Presbyterian educator) author. What caught my eye initially was the section, "THE KING JAMES VERSION--ITS INFLUENCE ON ENGLISH AND AMERICAN HISTORY"
