THE GOOD NEWS BIBLE'S APOSTATE TRANSLATOR Excerpts, 'of Dr Robert Bratcher the GNB's translator,' quotes from Bratcher's speech were printed in the Baptist Press report written by Dan Martin, news editor, and printed in the Baptist Courier: "Only willful ignorance or intellectual dishonesty can account for the claim that the Bible is inerrant and infallible ... To invest the Bible with the qualities of inerrancy and infallibility is to idolatrize it, to transform it into a false god. ... "Often in the past and still too often in the present to affirm that the Bible is the Word of God implies that the words of the Bible are the words of God. Such simplist…

***Nida says Bible translation is to be tested by the response of non-christians and by youth.*** ***Nida has things backwards. How could unsaved people and young people determine if a Bible is an accurate translation of the preserved Greek and Hebrew text of Scripture?*** Excerpts, EUGENE NIDA (1914- ) is the father of the blasphemous dynamic equivalency theory of Bible translation. Originally with Wycliffe Bible Translators, Nida has been associated with the American Bible Society and the United Bible Societies since 1943. "In addition to administrative responsibilities, his work involved field surveys, research, training programs, checking manuscripts…

Who's In Control of the World? By: Will Kinney http://www.avdefense.com/whosincontrol.html Who is in control of the world? Is it God or Satan? Jesus Christ said: "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." Mattthew 28:18. The Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:13 ends with :"For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever, Amen." This phrase is in brackets in the NASB and removed in the NIV, RSV and ESV. Jesus either said it or he didn't; they can't all be right. In Ephesians 1:20-22 it is said of Christ that God "raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, …

parathesis and Italics

this may sound stupid, but I noticed that some verses are in parathesis and Italics. Is this also God's inspired word, or is it just put there by man to reiterate what is being said? I also have seen pastors skip those parts when it comes to reading the Bible in a message, what is up with that? God Bless, Cathy

note the last line...     Vatican scholars prepare to rewrite the Bible Rory Carroll in Rome Guardian Tuesday September 11, 2001 Vatican scholars are preparing to rewrite the Bible by incorporating revelations contained in ancient scrolls discovered beside the Dead Sea in Palestine, it emerged yesterday. A team of theologians and historians will gather in Italy later this month to start the potentially explosive task of inserting new details about the life and times of Jesus Christ. The influence of radical Jewish groups who wanted to overthrow Roman rule is likely to feature in the new Bible, bolstering those who interp…

The 1% Manuscripts: Aleph & B http://www.ekkcom.com/one-prct.htm Is there anything wherefore it may be said, 'See, this is new? It hath been already of old time which was before us. Ecclesiastes 1:10 The New International Version, New American Bible, New American Standard, New Jerusalem, New English Bible, and New Revised Standard are not so 'New' as we have seen, but are but merely an encore of the 'New' Age esotericism of Plato, Saccus, Clement and Origen, set on the stage of the Egyptian papyri and Eusebius' Aleph and B manuscripts. Then the chief captain came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains...And as Paul was to be l…

DOES THE NIV SUPPORT UNBIBLICAL CATHOLIC DOCTRINE? http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plai ... vmay97.htm I often correspond with Catholics on the net and find myself telling them over and over again that they are reading from a corrupt version and therefore are being deceived about what the pure word of God really says. They cannot understand my love of the King James Bible as the true word of God. But it becomes clear to anyone who is earnestly contending for the faith that something is wrong. When reading the KJB, each scripture can be backed up by several others. This is not the case with other versions, one of which is the NIV. Sometimes a single verse is used …

Hello, First off please be patience with me. I am looking for answers to many questions. Some of them may upset you and for this I apologize, but that is how one gets answers by asking questions. I have seen and done things that most can only dream of, but at the same time I have seen and done things that most would consider a nightmare. I believe in God, but I question Christ. The bible was written by mear mortals, but the first text was handed down by God. The question I am asking this time is that over the passage of time, could not man have mistranslated the originial tex and put his words and or feelings and beliefs into something that meets his or her needs. My…

That these two books have this 'design' is NO coincidence It ain't just a cute design! coun ter feit \'kaunt-er-fit\: to imitate or copy closely especially with intent to deceive. The greatest method of deception is to counterfeit. And the master of counterfeit and deception is Satan. The Bible in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 warns of Satan's counterfeit: "And no marvel; for Satan himself i…

http://pub76.ezboard.com/fav1611godswor ... =995.topic Acts 10:11 James White - Bible scholar gone loopy Normally I would not even address the minor textual issue brought up by examining Acts 10:11, but since Mr. James White makes such a big deal of it in his book The King James Only Controversy, I am compelled to address the issue. In chapter nine of his book, which is titled "Problems in the KJV" James lists several silly objections to the language and text of the King James Bible, all of which can easily be refuted. Of course he is not "attacking" the KJB, you understand, but is merely demonstrating areas where it contains errors or is based on what he ca…

Oh silly person, consider this... Do you believe Moses' account of God's dealing with Pharoah? Didn't Moses have to translate his conversations with Pharoah from Egyptian into his own language? It took place in Egypt, surely Pharoah wouldn't have spoken in Moses' own language. Si? You WILL say, though, that Exodus is INSPIRED scripture won't you? Therfore...etc, etc... In His service, Craig p.s. DON'T even go there, NO the KJV translation isn't inspired, the WORDS are. You figure that one out. I'm saying God can create, and hold the universe together by His Word. He is CERTAINLY capable of preserving His Words as He see's fit! A…

Well lots of things BUt I will just pick on one subject this Thomas Nelson Publishers (publishers of the NKJV) claim, on the inside-cover, the symbol, ". . .is an ancient symbol for the Trinity." But Acts 17:29, clearly FORBIDS such symbology: ". . . we ought NOT to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, GRAVEN BY ART and man's device." What wrong with that you say well everything. I think that we could all agreee that God is holy and seperate from every cult and false religion then why would "…

A refined KJV, a very good companion volume to the KJV. Not A Replacement INTRODUCTION. The principal alterations in the language of the common version of the Scriptures, made in this edition, stated and explained. 'Who' is substituted for 'which', when it refers to persons. 'Its' is substituted for 'his', when it refers to plants and things without life. 'To' is used for 'unto'. This latter word is not found in the Saxon books, and as it is never used in our present popular language, it is evidently a modern compound. The first syllable 'un' adds nothing to the signification or force of 'to'; but by increasing the number of unimportant syllables, rather i…

1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ...doesn't belong in our Bibles. The 1901 ASV renders that verse thusly, 1Jo 5:7 And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth. Bible commentator Matthew Henry would like to have a word... or two... 1. We are stopped in our course by the contest there is about the genuineness of 1Jo_5:7. It is alleged that many old Greek manuscripts have it not. We shall not here enter into the controversy. It should seem that the critics are not agreed what manuscripts have it and what not; nor do they sufficiently i…

How Much Value Does God Put On The Original Autographs? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. The Original Autographs -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conservatives say the Bible used to be inspired and inerrant. Liberals say it never was inspired or inerrant. Both agree that the Bible is not now inspired or inerrant. Modern Bible scholars will often talk and write about the "inspired originals", since the "originals" no longer exist, the scholars and their conjectures replace the Bible as the "the final authority", they replace God'…

When we say we believe the King James Bible (AV 1611) is God's perfect word, why do others say that we are not using the AV1611. They say the AV1611 had the Apocgrapha and old English spelling. Any ideas?
