Since the latest upgrade (I suppose), I'm no longer being notified of "ALL" new posts. I look through the "Unread Content" shortcut, and go on about my business. Today, I noticed several items in bold throughout the forums that I hadn't seen before, but those items never showed up in my "Unread Content"...if that makes sense. In other words, there are things I haven't seen, but when I click on "Unread Content", those items aren't showing (or didn't show). It's not a big deal now that I realize what's going on...just thought I'd report it...then again, perhaps I'm just looney.

In the main menu the forum section with a new post is bold and shows the avatar of the last poster, but when you enter that forum heading, there is no bolded thread, and no avatar showing in the top thread. When you click on the topmost thread the new post shows up, so it is there, it is just in the "intermediate" stage that it doesn't show. It is not an issue, but it had me confused until I worked it out.

Since Saturday, August 19th., my devotion on Matthew 14:22-33, 'Peace in the Midst of the Storm,' has not been able to upload. The error notice 'EXO' appears.

I browse a lot on my smartphone. However whilst doing that, I have sometimes accidentally hit the flag that reports a post. When it is clear that I have done this, I hit the flag again to remove the report. So first of all I want to apologise if you get notification of a report from me that then disappears - I am not sure how that works at your end. Also, there may be times when I hit the report button accidentally, and DON'T notice, and you wonder why I am reporting an innocuous post. I fear that what happens occasionally is that as I am flicking the page up quickly on my phone, I hit the report button accidentally, and then clear the text window that…

Some of the banner ads load as Flash videos on a PC. If pages are loading slowly the problem may be with a plug-in called “Flash”. Flash has problems and can be blocked via settings in your browser. I have had the unfortunate experience of unexplainable keyboard and mouse problems. I noticed the mouse cursor problems mostly on message board formats while I was online. Many times I would click on where I wanted the cursor to appear, only to have it disappear before I could type. Or, it would mysteriously disappear while I was typing and the letters I had typed did not appear. This fix I am going to post did away with this problem as well as pages loading slowly becau…

With recent browser updates, I've received notifications that this site isn't secure...browsers are Firefox and Opera. My guess is that this has only to do with Online Baptist not having https (secure) available in the address...as opposed to only http? Just thought I'd pass it along; I'm not concerned over it.

In the last day or so, almost every time I attempt to submit a reply, I receive the following error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@onlinebaptist.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Before I became a member here, I could read the posts on the Independent Fundamental Baptists forums. After joining, and as an independent fundamental Baptist, I have been unable to access or read any posts on those same forums. The suggested apply link to attempt to get group membership to the Independent Fundamental Baptist group no longer seems to exist or work. What is the present way to request group membership for the independent fundamental Baptist group?

Hello Matt, Most days the ads on this website prevent me from typing directly into the post response box. I must type into MS Word and then copy and paste, then remove formatting before I can respond. If I can find the ads and close them I can then type directly and post, if not I have to close out of the forum and re-log back in. It is most frustrating, as near as I can tell they are google ads. Is there no way to remove them from the forum?

Just because, I decided to have a look at the church directory links, and I discovered that those displaying on the front page are not working - they bring up the not found 404 error. The "Church Directory" tab at the top does the same. I assume that the recent change/upgrade that happened has also broken this feature as well as the other things noted so far. Please note that this is for information and not meant to sound critical - I don't need to see them, but someone coming later might, and BroMatt needs to know so when he has some spare time (!?!?!?!?!?! - I am not sure I remember what that is) he can have a look. Dave

I wanted to publicly thank Bro. Jim (Jim Alaska) for fixing a problem with my account. I have been unable to post for a couple of days and he worked hard to get my account working again. Very good support from the Online Baptist staff and Bro. Jim!

Is something going on with the forums? I'm logged in, but I have no "reply" button. I do have a working "Quote" button so I can reply that way but not in all forums. In the Lounge forum I can't seem to do anything but read.

I see there is a "Hide" option a user can apply to his/her replies. Does is completely "hide" the post so others don't even know it was there? Or does it "flag" it as "hidden post" to others and not show content?

I have not been able to post in the "lounge" I go there but there is no option to post. I want to open a discussion on Calvinism (I am not Calvinist) as it is one of the areas I have a pretty decent knowledge of. I am not an angry IFB who wants to be vindictive but a person who wants to have open dialog in a friendly environment. If I cannot use the lounge then where can I post for this topic? Thank you for your time.

Options on the board seem very limited or else I'm missing a whole set of account settings someplace.... There is no way to set default to view posts Newest to Oldest?

A suggestion: I have on occasion had a multi-person PM, but I wonder if there is scope for making "private discussion rooms" where only invited people can come to discuss whatever they like. I don't know how hard or even if it is possible, but I see it as basically being invitation only forums, where threads can be started like in any other section of the board, but it is only by direct invitation of one of the members that they can be read or posted in. Of course the Mods will still have access to keep control. It would be best if the mods or admin didn't have to be involved, because they don't need any more work. Not really sure on all the details of…

I do not see any button that says "Apply" regarding a request to join the IFB forum. I would really like to check out those different threads!
