This letter was written by Ms. Corrie Ten Boom, a Nazi Concentration Camp survivor, and lifelong missionary, in 1974. The world is deathly ill. It is dying. The Great Physician has already signed the death certificate. Yet there is still a great work for Christians to do. They are to be streams of living water, channels of mercy to those who are still in the world. It is possible for them to do this because they are overcomers. Christians are ambassadors for Christ. They are representatives from Heaven to this dying world. And because of our presence here, things will change. My sister, Betsy, and I were in the Nazi concentration camp at Ravensbruck because we…

I have been taught all my life in Independent, fundamental churches and have taught that Jesus was not crucified on Friday as tradition has taught us but on Wednesday. There was a high sabbath on Thursday, then the women went to buy the spices and prepare them to anoint the body on Friday before regular Sabbath began on Friday at six o'clock p.m. Jesus could have resurrected anytime after 6:00 p.m. Saturday but was discovered missing when the women went to prepare his body Sunday morning after Sabbath ended. That is really the only way that Jesus' own prophecy of the sign of Jonas (3 days and 3 nights in the grave) could have been fulfilled. However, this Easter I had…

Hi all, Im David Jay Jordan, a so called newbie HERE at least to the FORUM. I call myself a Baptist because I was baptized in a local Baptist Church in Spokane Washington. at 12 years old. Im 70 something now, and still going for the Lord as an independant Baptist, you might say... as our ministry is to all kinds of people. Married, five children, had only one wife, shes a winner and has taught me innumerable things because of her heritage in the 3rd world, and we have experienced soooo much because we were independant and non denominational. No support from any church or family (they were basically atheists) I was quite the athlete growing up and reached …

Greetings from Burma! My name is Thaung Ngaih Lian. I'm a nationality of Burma and a missionary in my homeland Burma. I'm a husband of Ciin Lam Ma'an and a father of two sons. Can you envision a land where many pagodas are worshiped, animal sacrifices are a weekly occurrence and human cremations take place daily? I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to me. Since 2004, I had started a pioneering work among the unreached Buddhist in Burma as church planting ministry. The Lord has been so good and blessed us with many wonderful things spiritual and physical. Church in a village-Mang Sar Just two years ago a Church that has bee…

Hello Everyone!! It has been quite a while since I have visited here with everyone. By now, I am sure there are many new members added to the group and hopefully many of the regulars are still here too. Many times I thought about checking in to say hello. I have missed this forum and everyone who was and is a part of it! Time has passed and much has changed.... My health is much better....PTL....I was placed on medication that has now regulated my system and I am doing so much better. It was a difficult time in my life and I am thankful that the LORD never left me, even in my weakest moments, HE kept me going. Looking back, without a doubt I wouldn't have ma…

Hello, I just want to greet everybody hello and I am very happy to have found this website/ forum. I have so many questions about my homeschooling journey and glad to have found a safe, warm and trustworthy platform to ask questions and hopefully I can be of any help too to others. I am a homeschool, single and work-from-home mom and my daughter is requesting for an E-Reader, since she loves reading. According to this link, https://thewiredshopper.com/e-readers-vs-tablets/?fbclid=IwAR2gAE2cU3h5ecaA6IjXQnLY9Q5ix0mOOJZ355FBBHCPO5SBniJ_pi5E9sk, you can also read ebooks through a tablet, which I wasn't aware, but according here it appears like it's a norm that peo…

All 5 of them. I did not get saved until I was 38, a long time ago. I thank the Lord for my salvation!

Hello Everyone, I'm certainly glad to have found Online Baptist. Yes, I'm a member of other forums but, as Annie said, "I think I'm gonna like it here!" I should pull something together for a testimony. I saw a sub forum for just that...err, somewhere. Still getting the feel of navigating... :ooops I hope to have some wonderful discussions here and in the process sharpen my sword. It's great to be saved, know my Redeemer liveth, and have a place of like minded persons. My screen name... 1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. A reminder that keeps me …

Hello y'all! I'm back. I'm not sure if anyone remembers me. I have not been very active as much as I'd like to. Out of the blue I remembered about the forum and felt like visiting, but I forgot my username and/or password. [which was solved now.] I see a lot "new and hot" debatable topics as I opened my account. I pray that people here will not just express their own opinions but rely solely on God's word. It's nice to be back here. Celina

Hi everyone, I've lurked on this forum for a couple years without ever registering or posting anything but I'm finally singing up and posting today. I quit facebook a few years ago and migrated most of my online hangout time to reddit and youtube. Lately reddit has grown so filthy and hateful that I'm finding my way out of that site also. I'm hoping you all can suggest some better places to hang out online outside of the big social media sites. I've always been concerned with how the big tech companies disrespect our privacy and silence opposing viewpoints, this place seems nicer, if a bit underpopulated. A little about me: I'm a single man in my mid 30's. I'm t…

My name is David...I am a blood bought, truth taught, King James Bible reading, Independent, Fundamental, born-again believing Baptist. I am unusual because I believe strictly what the Bible says and not what man-kind and or the Christian church commonly preaches. I do not believe or celebrate Christmas or Easter because both originate from paganism and God tells us in His Word not to love the world or learn the ways of the heathen.

Hello y'all! My name is Claire. I recently left the Presbyterian church (I have been Presbyterian my whole life up until now) and am planning on attending my local IFB church starting in a few weeks. Before I decided I wanted to attend an IFB church, all I knew was that I disagreed with alot about my (now former) church's beliefs. I did my research and was amazed to find that I 100% agree with just about everything that most IFB churches teach. After years of being ridiculed by my church family (even my own family) for dressing modestly (it's weird how they don't want me to dress provacitavely, but they have a problem with me wearing skirts and higher-neck tops), and read…

Any other Minnesotans here? I'm a Minnesotan living in China with my hubby and baby girl and I found this by browing the world wide web and that beloved Google. We're attempting to do missionary stuff, but it's slow going. We just got back here after being home in beautiful Minnesota for a few months. Before that we were here 2 1/2 years.

My name is William and I live in New Zealand. Im 49 years of age and have been searching for God for 20 years, unbelievable really. Finding a bible believing church in this part of the world is more than a challenge as most are charasmatic. Finding God has been harder though, its like trying to walk up a slippery slope. a couple of feet traveled and I slip right back down again, over and over the same thing. Its soul destroyng I tell you, searching for an invisable God is too hard. I love reading the bible and would love to experience what the bible promises but finding reality in everyday life seems impossible. Not a positive testimony Im afraid but the facts are the fac…
