Hello my name is James, I choose this username some 3 years ago at another Christian Forum I use, and since all the bad news that has happen to this godly family, I thought I will definitely keep it. But do ask for all saints to pray for Jim Bob Duggar and his family.

Hi. I'm Jennifer. Apparantly, as I read, I know Matt (and Trish) from my FBC days. I will let him try his best to remember who I am. I have 5 children. My youngest is 8 months, my oldest is 10. I have been married to Rod for almost 12 years. My husband and I are getting ready to take the plunge into homeschooling, and I came upon this site as I googled looking for fundamental homeschooling boards. The Lord is taking us places I never thought we would go. However, here we go and I'm ready to see what He has in store for us.

Hello all! Before I tell you all about me, I suppose I should take the time to actually explain why I'm here. Over at Glenn Beck's The Blaze website, I have an account (going by the same moniker). Yesterday, another member called TheSword and I got into a little debate pertaining to evolution and the age of the earth and this debate continued on until today. At the end, TheSword was kind enough to invite me to this forum presumedly to become a little more active in religious-based conversations as he/she (rightly) felt this would be a more appropriate venue for that sort of discussion. About me: I was raised as a fundamentalist Southern Baptist from birth, seeing as my fa…

Hello again to all my friends here at IFB. I've been out of the country (AGAIN) for a while and am just now getting caught up with email and other online "stuff." If candlelight is still out there, please IM me. I really didn't (and still don't) have time to contact Mr. Mussleman regarding his citations and was hoping you could just get them for me. If it's too much trouble I understand, but my schedule is so crazy. The chances of me being in a time zone that is compatible with Mr. Musslelman's schedule is slim to none. Thanks, and it's good to be back.

Hi Brethren My name is David Cummings and I am a graduate of Massillon Baptist College of Massillon, Ohio. I grew up an MK in Mexico and served as missionaries from 77 to 98. We were church planters. In 98 we came to the US to get out of debt by working a job and doing ministry at the same time. In 2000 I had my first of five strokes and since have added also three heart atacks and a pulminary embolism. After two and a half years unable to walk I began walking using a walker. At that time I also began pastoring a very small church. This was an SBC church and the KJV, soul winning and bringing in poor non whites was taboo. By this past December neither of us could get…

Howdy everyone. It's been about a year since I last logged on here for anything other than to respond to a personal message, but I think a lot of you may remember me. I feel much refreshed after my time away and the environment looks to have cooled off a bit. Life also got a lot busier while I was away, so I don't know if I'll be able to contribute as much as I did, but I'm looking forward to some thoughtful discussions again.

As an unsaved kid contemplating my future I often thought about religion and heaven. I knew that I wanted to go there, but I just didn't know how. I was not satisfied with the trappings of the Catholic church. It did not make sense to me that I could sin like the devil all week long and go talk to a priest behind a shade and recite a couple of prayers by rote and somehow I was set. I started to hear snippets of opinions about being good enough to go to heaven. I'd make a personal commitment to do right and within an hour I found myself back to where I was before I made the commitment. I said, "Heck, this is impossible! There is no way that I'll ever be good enough!" …

For a while I participated here on a fairly regular basis, but two members in particular on this forum always seemed to be in contention with me so I chose to quit participating. Every so often I would stop in and read up on things but I haven't commented on anything in a long time. As time went on I became more busy with our ministry, and my business and family so I stopped by less and less frequently. Recently I was sent an email by a long time member here asking me if I was okay and if I would be interested in participating again, so I did a little checking and the people I had a problem with don't seem to have made any new posts in quite a while so I figured I would g…

Okay, so I'm seeing that new members are to introduce themselves. I apologize for being tardy in this respect; I wasn't sure where and how to do this. Hello, everyone! I'm obviously new here and its nice to meet all of you. I'm a concerned loved one and while searching for answers on possible new safety protocols being put into place in IFB churches, I stumbled across this forum. I was saved in an Independent Fundamental Baptist church when I was seven. My parents, good people, served years as deacon and Sunday School teachers. I'm from a small, rural town church in the Southeast part of the US.(Is it required I give my state here? I will if need be, but don't necess…

if you are in a bible course...can your lessons there be your guideline for bible study and then do a separate plan for bible reading? Or how do you separate your time for bible study and reading and what are your habits?

I am South African married to an American and we have four children. My wife and I co-founded Light and Life Bible Ministries, which helps people apply God's Word to all of life. Salvation I grew up in the Catholic Church and always believed in the existence of God. At age 20, feeling that life had nothing to satisfy me, God said spoke to me, saying, “What about what you learned when you were young?” I responded by giving my life to Him and got changed in such a way that I have never looked back. Called by God In the year of my conversion, I got invited by a friend to go as part of an evangelical outreach team to other areas of the country. The experie…

Hello everyone, I am looking for fellowship,to get to know different perspectives. May God bless this website, I hope to learn and meet different people from all over. I hope and pray the Holy Spirit guides me along with all new friends that I encounter to understand the word of God as He wants us to understand His word. Within the last 30 mins or so it seems I have lost the permissions to post in any forums except in the top forums (for new people). I cannot reply to anything in any of the lower forums either. Any help would be appreciated (from an admin to turn the permissions back on).

Hello everyone, I would just like to introduce myself to this site or like minded believers, saved by the blood of Jesus Christ eternally. I found it extremely useful for me lately to always remember to stay as close to the Lord as possible in every affair of every day. He provides my strength to overcome every day challenges not only of the world but of myself as well. I thank him for always being there for me, strengthening me and providing me his words of truth and my salvation. He provides my joy and wisdom to share with others and bring them into knowing his love through the gospel and his gift of salvation. Donald
