I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and have been a Baptist all my life. I have wide interests and follow many topics. I will not simply accept what is currently popular until I have researched it for myself and I make my own decisions. I am always reading two or more books at a time. I do not believe in the division of clergy and laity. If a person is a Christian, to me, then they are clergy as every Christian has the responsibility to 'go into the world' taking Christ with them in both deed and word. Hello everyone happy Saturday, I just wanted to let everyone here know that I am a fundamental independent Baptist believer, that have attended Catholic churches southern Baptist churches protestant churches but was save an independent fundamental Baptist church. When I post a topic here I’m not trying to get anyone mad or angry at me, you should not take any of my posts personally. Example if I say the Southern Baptist church are not the same as they once were, I’m talking about the church not you. Hello my name is James, once consider myself an IFB, while not a KJVO I would call myself a TRO. After many years of struggling to understand the pre-trib rapture decided to become Southern Baptist as my end time understanding can’t agree to a pre-trib rapture.

I joined awhile back and was active for awhile but dropped off. My name is Maggie, my username is "trapperhoney" which is a nickname my husband gave me. It came about by our son wanting to learn trapping after hearing his dad's stories for years, so we went to a Trapper's Convention. I was just the driver (while my husband is great navigating the woods he is pathetic on interstate, lol, and not a native of where we live now -- while I am), I had no real interest in what was going on. I've been here for quite a while but I don't think I've introduced myself. I am an elderly female, been in Baptist churches most of my life. Made a profession of salvation when I was about 10ish. but really think I got saved in 1982. I find this forum to be a great place to ask questions that may present divisions if asked at church. Some simple, some complex, none meant to cause issues here. I'm old enough to remember when the sermons were longer than the song services, and sin was preached on.

Hello. I'm Bruce. Thanks for allowing me to join the forum. I was raised in the Presbyterian Church USA but was saved in 1970 in a small Baptist church where I grew up. I love the KJV and am certain that it is God's perfect word for English speaking people. Found this site during a general web search.

I was born and raised in Hendersonville,TN and raised as a fundamental Baptist and have been all my life as is my husband Eric. Over the years my faith has been tested and always found the church to be my rock along with my husband. I'm really enjoying my time here in OnlineBaptist.com. I have to say that compared to many other forums that I have been on, this one isn't as active, but, the people seem to be more civil and Christian in attitude, especially the moderators. I greatly appreciate the input I've received so far on this site and look forward to a long stay if that's what the Lord provides! I don't know if I know anyone on this board or not, but I thought I would give it a try to get away from the toxicity of Facebook. I'll tell a little about myself. I was raised as an IFB from the age of nine until I was well into my 30s. My wife and I left the IFB movement after moving here to the Middle Tennessee area. We became members of a local SBC church soon after leaving our last IFB church. I am a lay-preacher, though I haven't preached in over 15 years because of a church split. For some reason, while browsing my old emails, I stumbled to this site. I recover my password and here I am now. I got busy on Facebook and Twitter. Hello All, this is a general rundown of my relationship with Christ. I was born to a single mother who was never there for me emotionally. I watched her cycle through men until she eventually married a man when I was 8. Before her marriage I grew blissfuly unaware of how my life was. Hi everyone, I've lurked on this forum for a couple years without ever registering or posting anything but I'm finally singing up and posting today. I quit facebook a few years ago and migrated most of my online hangout time to reddit and youtube. Lately reddit has grown so filthy and hateful that I'm finding my way out of that site also. Hi. Hope to learn and fellowship here. I was redeemed by the blood of Christ almost 34 years ago. I believe the KJV 1611 is the inerrant, infallible word of God but I can't say I can explain all the apparent "contridictions". Nice to met you all.

Yeah hath God said?... We know who said that and that it caused the fall of man and it has been causing men to fall ever since... Do we believe that God preserved his word to his English speaking people or not, says he did and if we don't then God is a liar... Let God be true and every man a liar... My name is Angel and I'm from North Carolina in the US. I joined to ask a question concerning Catholics and Baptists. I am a Baptist and was curious about the Catholic faith but have decided that it's not for me. It is about time I introduced myself here. As usual, i went through the line backwards. Thanks for letting me in. My primary residence is in Minnesota but we have a retirement place In Wisconsin. My wife wants to wait eighteen months before she retires. i am semi-retired, teaching part time online. Do other lay people participate here? How many are not currently members or casual attenders of an Independent Baptist church? How many just worship at home, perhaps with a small group?

I came upon this site by accident searching for info on PBI. I was intrigued due to its statement that it believes the KJV to be the preserved word of God.

Besides, if we are all saved by God’s sovereign with no personal choice, desire or will in the matter, why are you even trying to convince us one way or the other? We’re either destined to be saved and it will happen despite your words or we are damned anyway - and your words are useless because God sovereignly chose us to be damned and we cannot choose otherwise. 🤪
