The more volunteers a church haves the more work can be done, for the Lords Army. Don’t always keep the same main soldiers in the front line. Rotation is good and healthy.

Churches should have fellowship with its members. With all members, the faithful members, and with those that are not so faithful. My experience through the years, I notice as members and groups in our local churches, these groups seem to stay closer together, in the church and out of church. They are friendly to new members, but seems to keep a distance. I’m not saying this is evil. It just seems that it happens everywhere I go In the English or Spanish churches. It’s a type of favoritism like what happens at the workplace. The pastor cannot really do anything about this. Take Care ?

Maybe you've seen this meme floating around Facebook.... here it goes Now before anyone says, "It's not a sin to not wear a suit and tie" (that's cultural) I agree. What I get out of this meme is I think we are starting to dress too casually to church these days.

I believe the only easy way is to vote him out, is to have a meeting (members only). But there must be a majority, of members present. What happens when there is not enough members to vote. There must be a good reason, to vote him out. Given him a chance to tell his story. Let’s just say the pastor had an affair with a member that was married. Example, you would think the pastor would leave on his own. But we all can be surprised, when he doesn’t leave on his own. This is not a negative post, just a class full of students. ?

If I were a pastor, I would not want to live on the church property. Is it a benefit or just more control over him and his family? Free rent is not always free. ?

If somebody was to say to you, the better, you preach the more you earn. How would you answer this to a person?

Although this has been a long time coming there is a certain congregation on the Anderson University campus that tends to see themselves as more "intelligent" or "enlightened" than the rest of the congregations. While all affiliated churches are seen as autonomous there are still certain restrictions to what individual Pastors can teach and regulations for performing a wedding ceremony. The main overseer of the ChoG is called the General Director and there is a assembly of others who help him lead in many different areas. All these leaders are voted in by the members from congregations all over the world. Recently several members of the church I referred …

Our spiritual predecessors vehemently defended Bible-based beliefs that turned out to be biblically wrong. Could it be that we are not doctrinally perfect in ours? Very often, we don't see the need for change because we find security in our church’s traditional views, especially if they’re ancient. But history has shown that God’s people have had to repent of their supposed biblically sound views. Even the ancient ones. These changes didn't always come quickly or easily because beliefs are deep-set into our biblical worldview. Peter struggled with the idea of being told, in a vision, to eat biblically unclean food. He even went so far as to resist God, saying, “Not s…

I'll be posting different clips that I come across here. This is not to make fun of people, but rather bring to light that we MUST stick to scripture when preaching. At #1 is Larry brown talking about his wifes feet. The added helium effect makes it creepier. lol

“In 1998, the Southern Baptist Convention . . . passed, what they called, a Resolution On Moral Character Of Public Officials. If it had been followed, Trump would have been kept out of office in 2016 and evangelicals would have distanced themselves from him in 2020.”1 The resolution outlines biblical standards of character that many expect Christians would insist of public leaders, yet, more than 80% of white evangelicals voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020. The Southern Baptist Convention’s Resolution On Moral Character Of Public Officials reads as follows: WHEREAS, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Proverbs 14:34 NAS); …

There is a group called the Recovering Fundamentalists. They have a WEB site and everything. I went there and read their articles of faith. I also have heard some of their preacher back before they started this group. There purpose is to disparage mainline fundamentalists. So they point out all the bad actors within the Independent Fundamental Baptist circles. In my opinion is that this is not a good movement.

In a local Baptist church, who is supposed to get paid $$$ besides the pastor. If you ask 100 people, should the pastor get paid if he’s serving full time, I believe most Baptist Christians will say yes, he should get paid for working full-time. Now other parts of the ministry, who should get paid, for example, the secretary, accountant, Deacons, ushers, music ministry leader, and team, childcare, teachers, maintenance team. Who is worthy of receiving the tithings.

The local church has been always known for changing families and lives, for the better by seeking Christ, the living God. Today we can see many changes in the local church, but the roles are changing the people are changing the local church. when I was a younger man, I had never seen a church use its property to attract people as they are today. Yesterday, I drove by a church that had a huge carnival going on their property. I have never seen this in the past being done by a local church, to attract people. The role of the church has changed very much where the church once change the person through their ministries. Worldly pressures have gotten into the local church. Thi…

I have an atheist friend who was talking with me the other morning...I was talking about the blessings from the Lord that I had received over the years since I came to know Christ as my savior. He was skeptical to say the least, and was very hostile to the idea that God did anything or gave anyone anything....So, I started out with the many blessings God had given me and my wife in our local church...he was very obstinant and against agreeing to give in on anything being a gift or blessing from the Lord. I named several things from the air we breathe to the home I live in....He disagreed vehemently and was very hostile....He told me to give him proof of blessings....perio…

Bryan Samms recently transitioned his church from the KJV to a modern version. While he has every right to do that, he seems like he was secretive to his church, and also his reasoning just doesn't make a lick of sense. If you have time, take a look.

If your church does yearly themes, then drop them below. This year we went with "BRING THE BOOK" Nehemiah 8:1 ... and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to BRING THE BOOK of the law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded to Israel.

We're currently shopping for insurance for our bus. Progressive is dropping us because they say they cannot cover the liability coverage for the state of Connecticut. If any of you have bus / van ministries what insurance do you use?

I remember when the talks were always about the Catholics, and all the leaders sexual hidden activities. Now the Southern Baptist Church is getting a taste of it. https://www.npr.org/2022/08/13/1117362904/southern-baptists-doj-investigation-sexual-abuse Sinners are sinners, and will get caught. What we do in the darkness will come out into the light.
