What a Creator we have! I got this in my email this morning. God's diversity in creation is amazing. The article has pictures that show some of what the Mimic can do. http://creation.com/mimic-octopus "In 1998 a fantastic creature was discovered off the coast of the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The Mimic Octopus (Thaumoctopus mimicus) is the first living thing ever observed to imitate the shape, colour, texture, posture and behaviour of several other animal species. It performs multiple impersonations as it crosses the ocean floor."

A whale fossil was discovered on a mountain in California on September 4... The fact that a whale fossil was found on a mountain isn't necessarily the focus of the article; they focus on HOW it got there. The article opens by explaining how it got there, and it closes by (once again) explaining how it got there. Link to article --> Evolutionary article that spins one whale of a tale! This makes much more sense to me and is a better explanation... Genesis 7:20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

Hi all! This topic isn't so much about arguing the merits of evolution versus creationism, but rather for me, an outsider (as a "believer" in evolution), to understand what it is exactly members of this forum believe about the theory of evolution. I appreciate any input and here are a list of suggested content to be discussed: what do you think evolution is? Why do you reject evolution? What do you think a theory is? What led you to be interested in this topic? Why do you think evolutionary theory is popular in biology? Can you define a "kind"? To what extent can a creature evolve if you believe it's possible? Why is there an extent to which a creature can evolve? And, o…

What does the Evolutionist say about Creation? What does it matter to us? When I come to studying the Bible I don’t really give a hoot what other people believe, be they Pope or be they Darwinian, in that, what others believe doesn’t change that which it true. So with that in mind lets have a brief look at The Day and Night of Genesis, and then a few thoughts on the topic to finish. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good…

Mt. Kitt observatory is not far from where I live. I suspect that this "search" will eventually yield "results" before the Tribulation. Nearly 200 scientists are attending the conference, called "The Search for Life Beyond the Solar System: Exoplanets, Biosignature & Instruments," which runs from March 16 through 21 in Tucson, Ariz. The Vatican Observatory is co-hosting the conference with the University of Arizona's Steward Observatory. http://www.foxnews.com/science/2014/03/17/is-alien-life-vatican-observatory-science-conference/ And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie 2 Thessalonians 2:11

I have a question that I have had for some time. I am new to this board since the ffboard is now dead so dont assume all my posts will be this reaching. I ask it because the ramifications from it can explain a lot but few are willing to even consider the why. Why did all the breathing animals have to die? It was man who sinned yet the judgment was on everything breathing. The bible says in Gen 6:1-13 that all flesh was corrupted and violent. Both man and the animals needed to be destroyed. Why? I have some ideas that seem to fit but would like others opinions on the matter first. Thanks

Hi All, Just wondering when you folks think the devil was created. Personally Because of Ezekiel 28:15 and a Genesis 1:5, I Believe he was created after the first day and before Genesis 3 Verses are Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. The Devil was created in a day, first day was in Genesis 1:5. Any Bible based Opinions are appreciated. Bro I.

I have a question that I hope someone here can help me with. Through the Gospel of Matthew along with the writings of Josephus and Tertullian we can place the birth of Jesus sometime between 7 - 2 B.C. He had to be born before Herod the Great died which many place in March of 4 B.C. Based on the above and known errors in the Gregorian calendar (which cannot be entirely and accurately quantified) I have come to the belief that Jesus was born some time in the fall of 2 B.C. and Herod died in 1 B.C. following a lunar eclipse (see Josephus), but I am not dogmatic on these dates. Here is the question. In Luke's account Jesus was born during a census decreed by Augustus dur…

Our public schools and even the media assume that evolution is fact, and not theory. I, for one, am tired of the innuendos and references to the "billions" of years that the process was supposed to have taken. I hope this "spoof" can be useful to someone in combating the dangerous and foolish teachings that are promoted in our society today, among young and old people alike. The Way it Was? Once upon a time, eons and eons ago, (no one knows how long ago it was), there was a mass of energy (no one knows where it came from) floating around in nothingness (no one knows where). After about a zillion years, it exploded and particles of this energy scattered throughout …

Arguments for the Existence of God I. Cause Isa. 43:7, 21; Eccl. 12:13; Micah 6:8; Acts 17: 26-28; 1 John 3:23; Rev. 4:11; (Eccl. 9:9), A reason for creation. Purpose; a plan must have a “planner”. II. Design Gen. 1:26; “After our image”. Creation shows a progression from good, to better, to best. This is accomplished by design; growth does not happen accidentally. III. Being Isa. 45:22, 46:9; Hos. 11:9; Ex. 3:14; Job 38 (entire chapter); Gen. 1:26, 2:7; John 1:3. Where did life come from? What is light made of? How could the separation of waters happen accidentally? IV. Intellectual Nature Rom. 2:15 The ability to think and …

I asked this in another thread; but because the question was a bit off topic from the original post no provided any opinion or answer. In which Biblical time period do most Bible scholars (the good IFB ones) believe the dinosaurs existed? Was it Adam and Eve's days or just prior to Noah's flood? Have there been any human remains or fossils found near the dinosaurs fossils at the same geological strata?

(PhysOrg.com) -- Neanderthals used makeup and jewellery challenging the idea that they were cognitively inferior to early modern humans, according to research published in the Proceedings in the National Academy of Sciences today. Radiocarbon dating by researchers at Oxford University suggests that pigment-stained and perforated marine shells were almost certainly used as pendants by Neanderthals in Spain 50,000 years old. ... (more) http://www.physorg.com/news182439329.html yep, they have the capability as modern humans. just that ideas haven't evolve yet so that's why they seem "stupid" (according the title of the article). Sometimes I think animals are just as brig…

I thought I'd try to see how pictures and illstrations will work on this new format. Haven't seen it elsewhere yet. A human sandal print stepping on a trilOBite. PrOBlem; trilOBites are supposed to have become extinct 180 million yrs ago. A fossil leaf extending through several layers of varves...which are supposedly laid down slowly over millions of yrs. So much for that theory. Agate Springs, Nebraska; Thousands of animals found fossilized together in one place. Did all these animals migrate to the same high elevation 4,500 ft and die together at the same time and become fossilized instantly because nature led them there? Or were they creatures seeking high…

One of the most brilliant minds, if not THE most brilliant, in modern history, wrote these words... "This most beautiful System of the Sun, Planets and Comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful being ... He is Eternal and Infinite, Omnipotent and Omniscient; that is, his duration reaches from Eternity to Eternity; his presence from Infinity to Infinity; he governs all things, and knows all things that are or can be done." ~ Sir Issac Newton, General Scholium/Principia*(1729) Vol. 2, pp. 388-90 " The extraordinary mind and works of Sir Isaac Newton are, no doubt. part of the fullfillment of Daniel's prophecy: "But thou, O…
