On another thread, I posted The answer was However this seemed to be a rhetorical question as the poster then locked the thread without waiting for an answer. However, here goes. Q. Who is the Lord Jesus addressing? A. The same people he was addressing in Matthew 23, That generation of Jews. Those who filled up the measure of their fathers, by crucifying their messiah. It was because of this that the days of vengeance came upon them. Isaiah 61:2. Luke 21:22. Q. Who is Paul addressing in 1 Thess. 4? A. Believers, ie the church as are all the letters and Revelation.

Okay, we've finished our overview of Ezekiel in Sunday school and I'm wrapping up my personal study in Ezekiel. There were not that many comments upon Ezekiel 38 & 39, but I do appreciate what was put forth there. As I am understanding it, there are basically 4 main interpretations of these chapters. 1. There will one day be a literal temple rebuilt and there will sacrifices offered. Any sacrifices offered pre-mil will be done by Jews who reject Jesus and are still looking for the Messiah. Any sacrifices during a future mil will be in remembrance, similar to how the Lord's Supper is today. 2. This is all just a metaphor of God presence being with us today. 3. …

Is MAITREYA the ANTI_CHRIST. Is HARRY WALTHER the man with understanding spoken of in revelation 13:18. ?

Why do you suppose that people continue such false "prophets" as Hal Lendsey? These individuals continue to make "predictions" which are obviously false. When they fail, these individuals simply change their dates and have the same people fall right back into line. Why?

Greetings. Praise the Lord. I came across an unusual photo of a pastor, so called, handing out combat knives to Israeli soldiers, and another where a group of pastors, so called, were cleaning an Israeli cannon. Please add your comments as to the biblical basis pertaining to such Gospel ministry. [/list:u] Note: Pastor Vineyard created some controversy by telling the President of the United States to go to Hell. I wonder does he have plans of retiring in Israel? “The Day of the Lord” The day of the Lord, as prophesied by the Old Testament prophets, starts at Revelation 6:1 and continues until Revelation 22:1 as revealed by John the apostle. During ‘the day of the Lord,’ God will fulfill all of the unfulfilled prophecies of the Old Testament prophets. Acts 3:19-23, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the w…

I was talking to a co-worker a few years back, who was a free mason; and we got on the subject of the mark of the beast, and he said he believes that the mark instead of being physical was more or less metaphoric; in that it is the thought of the mind and deeds of the hands. I thought his idea was interesting but not sound doctrine.

I've heard speakers and watched news reports that suggest that Militant Islam is spreading rapidly with the intent on becoming a one world religion / government. I've also seen a book at a local Christian bookstore which compares the Islamic messiah to the Biblical antichrist. President Amindinandbbiddyjad... or something like that... claimed at the UN that the Mahdi is coming soon. I have a feeling that they already know who he is. Could this be the antichrist?

READ THIS:I am not dogmatic about this. A person can have a walk with God, go soul winning, live a christian life, without every studying Revelation. I don't insist that I'm right, I don't think I'm wrong, I don't care either way. IF YOU SEE a biblical problem with this, please point it out. IF you see a hole in logic, point it out. Please don't just attack me because your opinion is different, or because you where taught otherwise. I'm not saying works salvation here, it's not a dogmatic issue. I only say this because I don't want 200 posts of calling me a doodie head. This is a long post, because this is the result of a bible study. If you're not interested in …

Matthew 24:29-31, After the tribulation 'they shall gather his elect.' Matthew 24:29, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.” “… after the tribulation ...” these events will take place. Matthew 24:30, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Revelation 1:7, “Behold, he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also w…

In the end times, I believe these verses, could be the reason why all Bibles, will be burned to the ground. Gen.2 [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. [25] And they were both naked, the man and hiswife, and were not ashamed

I've gone through several scriptures related to the Rapture, and I'm getting the impression that the Church will not be raptured until after the tribulation period. Phrases such as "At the last trump" and "After these things" lead me to believe that we'll still be here. I've also heard some Independent Baptists claim that nobody will be saved during the Tribulation Period. We don't have the option to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and that nobody will be saved. John saw a number "which no man could count" standing before the throne of God clothed in white robes. The Bible makes it pretty clear that they are the ones slain during the Tribulation. It's obvious…

The doctrine known as preterism is yet another false doctrine created by Satan to both cheapen the return of Jesus and to cast doubt upon God's word. What is preterism? it's the belief that all Biblical prophecy has already been fulfilled. "Full" preterists believe that Jesus has already returned, while "partial" preterists believe all has been fulfilled except Jesus' return. But both views are false! Here are a few reasons why they're false: Let's see what parts of the Olivet Discourse have come to pass... Matt. 24: 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another…

Who and where is the daughter of Babylon. Over 1,250,000 Jews have come home from the Russian north now. Where are the Jews in the daughter of Babylon? Zechariah 2:6-7 6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. 7 Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. 8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. 9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shal…

Isaiah 13:6-16 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt: 8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. 9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. 10For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall no…

In some recent readings I've come across this several times and I must admit, I know very little about this. Is anyone here a Postmillennialist of any kind (apparently there are more than one kind)? I've read that many or most Christians until more modern times held to some form of this view, is that true? In trying to look up information on this online I've not yet found anything definitive. I'll post some of what one site had to say, but the article is based upon one persons personal study and journey so feel free to point where he is right or wrong and why. I've only read a portion so far, so I might read more before I post some so I will have read it at least …

Jeremiah 35:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever. There were three "Rechabs" in Scripture. The first was the son of Rimmon, a Benjaminite, in 2 Samuel 4, whom David killed for murdering Ishbosheth. The third was in Nehemiah, whose son, Malchiah, repaired the Dung gate of Jerusalem's wall. The second one is whom I'm concerned with here. His son Jehonadab, was a close friend of Jehu's, & aided Jehu in slaying the prophets of Baal in 2 Kings 10. I believe this Jehonadab was the "Jonadab" of Jeremiah 35. He was not an Israeli, but was a KENITE. (1 Chron. 2:55. …
