Almost a year ago, my wife and I were watching Jay Leno and I saw Barack Obama for the first time. I remember being blown away by the way he spoke. I really liked the guy. I turned to my wife and said, "You know, I'd vote for him. Then again, he'd make the perfect antichirst." That was before I knew he was going to run for president. Of course, was basing my accusation solely on this ability to catch the attention of the masses. The only two things I knew about him was that he was a great speaker and he spoke at Rick Warren's Church. That didn't impress me much, because Rick Warren will let ANYONE speak at his Church. Anyway, long story short... currently he is…

Dearest Board Brethren, As some of you know, I am not convinced regarding the pre-tribulation rapture. I know all the scriptures used to teach pre-trib rapture, having been in IFB churches for over 15 years and having graduated from an IFB college. However, this is the question I have and I ask it in sincerity: Could you please show me the scripture or scriptures that teach that there are two raptures. Namely, Rapture One, at the beginning of the tribulation for all the saved, and Rapture Two at the end of the tribulation for the Tribulation Saints. The reason I ask is the Bible only teaches that there are two resurrections: The Resurrection of the Righteous, jus…

The false belief of pre-trib rapture was first taught in church by a pentacostal woman. 1.)When did Jesus tell His disciples the rapture would happen?Matt.24:29-31;Mark 13:24-27;and Lk.21:25-28 2.)The Bible states repeatedly that His people will go through tribulation but not face the wrath of God.Jn 16:33;Acts 14:22;Rom.5:3;Rom.8:35;Rom.12:12;2Cor.1:4;2Cor.7:4;1Thess3:4;Rev.1:9;Rev.2:9-10 and Rev.7:14 3.)Will Christ's coming in the clouds be a :secret rapture" as the pre-trib rapture teaches? Rev.1:7;1Thess.4:16-17;Mk.14:62;Mk.13:26-27;Mat.24:30-31;Acts 1:9-11; and Lk.21:27-28 4.)The Bible clearly teaches that the "Day of Christ" cannot happen until after the Antich…

Some fascinating reading. Especially given that the speaker seems oblivious to New Testament prophecy which folds right into the descriptions she gives. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/128101

In Noah's world men were setting themselves up as god's. Genesis 6:4 4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. In Peleg's world they were trusting in the works of their hands to reach Heaven. Genesis 11:4 4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. In Lot's world it was homosexuality. Genesis 19:4&5 4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even…

I'm sorry.. I'm not sure if this goes here. Mods-please move it if it's not meant to be here. I just had a question about Judgment Day.. I'll be the first to admit that I've done some things I shouldn't do. I've done so many things I'm so ashamed of. I'm just thinking about when we stand before God and he judges us. If we repent daily and pray for forgiveness.. will we be judged on everything, or what we haven't repented of? I mean, if we're saved, will we still get into Heaven? Matt: 12:36 (I think) scares me a little bit. I just wish there was a sure way of knowing you were going to Heaven. I guess I'm just confused.. Any insight would be very much appreciated! Than…

I heard this morning on the radio that theres something in the bible that talks about lunar moon eclipses, (Am not sure on the truth in this statement, but think I once heard something in reference to this.) four in a row as an end times sign of Jesus Christ. Though the speaker did re-iterate that we will know not the day nor the hour. Before anyone calls me a "pot stirrer" the speaker said that he curious consulted a NASA site and found this. Hopefully my linkage works. Four eclipces in a row..... http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/LEcat/LEdecade2011.html

The folly of interpreters has been to foretell times and things by this prophecy, as if God designed to make them prophets. By this rashness they have not only exposed themselves, but brought the prophecy also into contempt. The design of God was much otherwise. He gave this and the prophecies of the Old Testament, not to gratify men's curiosities by enabling them to foreknow things, but that after they were fulfilled they might be interpreted by the event, and his own providence, not the interpreters', be then manifested thereby to the world. For the event of things predicted many ages before will then be a convincing argument that the world is governed by Providence. …

I've gone through several scriptures related to the Rapture, and I'm getting the impression that the Church will not be raptured until after the tribulation period. Phrases such as "At the last trump" and "After these things" lead me to believe that we'll still be here. I've also heard some Independent Baptists claim that nobody will be saved during the Tribulation Period. We don't have the option to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and that nobody will be saved. John saw a number "which no man could count" standing before the throne of God clothed in white robes. The Bible makes it pretty clear that they are the ones slain during the Tribulation. It's obvious…

Hi! This is my first post on this site. I am an ordained Southern Baptist minister. I have pastored for 20years, and during that time I have watched modern evangelicalism erode the mission of the local church to the point, I have no joy in attending church due to the focus of church ministry on the felt needs of man and his delicate psychological make-up. I have preached for 20 years Biblical doctrine and Biblical truths that the New Paradigm Church refuses to embrace. Sadly, I think the church is positioned to embrace the teachings of the man of sin, because it will be palatable to what he has come to understand as God's blessings on the neo-20th-21st century Christi…

Praise the Lord! Though 1 Cor. 15:52, where the 'last trump' is spoken of, is considered by many to relate to a pre-trib rapture that view was not the original pre-trib dispensationalist position for that verse was considered to be pointing to the 'first resurrection' at the 'last day' when the Lord returns in glory. The context of that verse is plainly Millennial which also means that 1 Thes. 4:13-18 is as well which reveals that the trump of the seventh angel in Revelation is the same 'last trump' as mentioned in 1 Cor. 15:52 which proves that the catching up of the NT saints occurs at Jesus' return in glory, and not before. 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 Now this I say…

I've heard speakers and watched news reports that suggest that Militant Islam is spreading rapidly with the intent on becoming a one world religion / government. I've also seen a book at a local Christian bookstore which compares the Islamic messiah to the Biblical antichrist. President Amindinandbbiddyjad... or something like that... claimed at the UN that the Mahdi is coming soon. I have a feeling that they already know who he is. Could this be the antichrist?

I really have mixed feeling about the Revelation of the end of the world. I mean why would God want to end the world if he loves us all? Sure we make mistakes, bug mistakes but I thought forgiveness is the best thing we got in Christianity. Im confused. Any thoughts to help me out? Brian Fontana

According today's USA TODAY newspaper (December 24), Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has ruled out negotiations to start a cease-fire with Hamas. Instead, Olmert has decided to continue the war against Hamas until they stop their rocket attacks against Israel. Also, Israel is going to build 700 new Israeli settlement homes near Jerusalem. Praise the Lord, Jesus Christ is coming very soon!

Hi everyone I need some solid proof that it is the Catholic church that is going to be the one world church in revelation. I believe that it is, but people have been challenging me, and one person who is IFB is convinced that it is talking of the Muslims not Catholics. Katy-Anne
