I have been trying to make some dvd labels for a dvd tract I made but I am having some major prOBlems. The ones I did manage to make are to low of a DPI for the disc company. I tried to make some using other programs but they all have these weird files that will not open in any other program and they will not convert. I need to make a label with at least 300 dpi and I need a free program that will let me do it. Any suggestions?

MOUSE CALIBRATION You should actually do this every year. Even more often if you spend a lot of time on the computer. This is recommended by Kim Komando (the computer guru) in one of her recent emails. I was shocked to see how well this works, and how far off mine was! To re-calibrate your mouse, click and hold on the capital G below, then drag it toward the small g. If it doesn't work immediately, you might want to clean your mouse, as the calibration is off. Good lord!! You'll believe anything

The desktop is connected by ethernet and the laptop by wireless. The dessktop connects to the internet OK, but since I returned from holiday I have not been able to connect via my laptop to internet or email, although it tells me that it is connected to local and internet. A few years ago, a couple of preacher-friends of mine, told me about http://www.sendthisfile.com. They've used it, to send files, (such as radio broadcasts and messages,) to their stations and friends! Well, I've only started putting my broadcast together on the computer a few months ago, so, I haven't needed such, 'til now! I send three of my stations their broadcasts every week! I also send messages and other audio files, using this free site!!! They send whoever you specify, a message from them, saying they have a file waiting on them, for download. Also in said message, there's a link to click on, where they can download the file! The site explains it a whole l…

Just in case anyone missed this.... On Amazon you can download a free app which allows you to download and read Kindle Books on your PC or Mac. In addition, there are a number of free books available. (Sort Christian books by price). I just downloaded (for free) "Concerning Christian Liberty - Letter of Martin Luther to Pope Leo X"

I do NOT know how I can even remotely have virus risk to my computer, I rarely click on anything even remotely risky, and I stay usually on the same basic sites. I had trouble with my AVG recently...Windows was reporting it turned off while it seemed to be still running. Then today I went to a website looking for quotations and suddenly some gibberish popped up and then an AVG warning. In light of the recent AVG prOBlems I had, I was afraid it was a fake popup (I did have a few other popups right before that one, wondering why they had not been prevented) so I closed it from the bottom of my screen (not clicking on the popup) and uninstalled AVG and a few other free d…

Has anyone here actually used an iPad? I'm considering one to "play" with. Use would be for digital books, web browsing, email and other "light duty" functions....

Anyone tried Win 7 yet? I was thinking of getting it for my PC with XP Media Centre. I downloaded Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and ran it on my PC and it said I needed so many driver upgrades, I wonder if it is worth it. I have three printers; the HP OfficeJet 6130 said I could get a new driver. MY Photosmart 1000 it said I could't upgrade. I like that printer as it has an duplexer, so I can print both sides of the paper. My Canon 4650 it didn't recognize at all. Although it is old and slow I wan't to keep that as it is A3, and on my other XP machine will print a nine sheet poster, which is quite a size. When I downloaded drives for my XP media centre recently, the…

I just noticed something when trying to delete cookies. I noticed that if any website that is giving you prOBlems and you need to clean out your cookies to fix it, make sure you take the check mark off next to "perserve favorite website data" in Windows Vista (or later). I've been ignoring this for awhile because... well, I didn't take the time to read it. So it have been preserving my favorite website cookies because of it. Thought I would let other know in case they are making the same mistake as I am.

My desktop has been invaded with this virus. I've tried various fixes, and I am continually stopped in my tracks. I use Avast (free version), but the virus got through somehow. Anyone know of a (free?) download fix to get rid of this nasty virus? My desktop runs Windows XP, and I've already lost my wallpaper, access to MSCONFIG, etc. I'm going to try to get rid of it with a program I downloaded on my laptop to a CD, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks in advance.

As a web developer one thing that really bothers me is churches that have really bad web designs. I understand that some churches do not have the resources to create a really nice looking website, some of those people really try and I do not hold that against them. I'm talking about those websites where the church does not care about the website and just through it up there without any thought into it at all. I read somewhere that 82% of people first look online for a church when they are looking for a church to attend. The first impression that they have of your church is going to be your website. I really think that it is a good investment for a church to spend …

I bought my wife a laptop for her birthday. We live out in the sticks so all we have is dial-up. I had to buy an external USB modem. I hooked it up, set up a dial up connection, but everytime I try to dial out, I get error 691 which says I am using the wrong username and/or password combination. We double checked (fifty times!) and it is NOT a username/password prOBlem. However, when we got go settings and look at the dial up properties, it seems to automatically change the password, every time. Alas, we don't know how to fix it. I know the new stuff don't like dial up, but that is all we have out here. Has anyone else had trouble with dial up on the newer comput…

I need a good (free) Bible application for my phone (preferably with KJV pre-installed or at least available as an add-on). My phone runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and it has a VGA screen (some older applications are built for QVGA and don't look right on VGA). I've tried eSword, but the fonts are just way too big even on the smallest setting. Any suggestions?

For all of you Chrome users, which Extensions do you like the best? I have a few installed, but one that I have been using for the last few days has soon become my favorite (That is other than the dev ones). That Extension is FastestChrome. It was a FF extension that is now made for Chrome. Try is and see how your Online Baptist browsing is a tad bit different.
