    • There was a huge explosion in Beirut, Lebanon today. Pray for our fellow Christians there.  Here is a Facebook link to the Beirut Baptist School.  https://www.facebook.com/BBS.lb/?eid=ARBIgqFRpj9w4e2rUsDtr5s15v8feTDvkh4Pn4hzkshew1JqhjYYJEH0O-awQMO2sCWFbivaFZVIwaSv&timeline_context_item_type=intro_card_work&timeline_context_item_source=774180340&fref=tag I have several Baptist Lebanese friends who live in Beirut. One works at the school.  I
    • They are hyper Dispy, as to them only really Paul is inspired for us for today, as the Gospels and other epistles to them were just for early church! Any who have ever been redeemed by God was on the basis of the Cross of Christ! he believed and trusted in the promised messiah yet to come, as Jesus Himself stated that Abraham saw his day and was glad! There has always been a called out and saved Elect unto God from the time of adam and Eve, as any and all sinners saved were on the basis of the Cross of christ! There has always been a called out and saved Elect unto God from the time of adam and Eve, as any and all sinners saved were on the basis of the Cross of christ!
    • SureWord and all Concerned, I understand what you said and I am very thankful for your support for Trump. My thoughts are this. I did not want anybody to derail this thread by discussing the pro and cons of the riots, nor do I want those who detest President Trump, or his policies, to derail it by changing the subject.   If, for example, we let this thread continue on the riots, even though we are against the rioters, than the thread would be derailed by those who will take opposite sides and take advantage of the dissension within this thread to force the moderators, or force me to ask the moderators, to close this thread. One of the reasons, in spite of opposition to the subject matter of this thread, that this thread is still active after three years running, is that I keep a very narrow focus on the subject matter. I deliberately keep the focus very narrow and very limited in scope and sometimes appear, guilty as charged: 'touchy.'  I am sorry if I offended you and it is my desire to have you an active participant in this thread and in my other threads. SureWord, it is my hope that as you, and anyone else concerned with the good things president Trump has accomplished to benefit America, to search the news, and when you find an article, or a speech, that fits the criteria of this thread, to include that article, or speech, in this thread. May God continue to Bless America through the good actions of our elected leaders. Alan
    • Not sure what your gripe is. I was not knocking Trump.  I'm pro-Trump all the way. In fact, I supported Trump on this sight back in 2016 when everyone wanted Cruz, and of course, I was "admonished" at that time also. I figured I'd try it out here again but I see the touchiness and pomposity are still prevalant. It seems you can't post anything on the sight without getting an "admonition".  No wonder it's dead as a door nail now and all the good members are gone.  I thank you for accepting my admonition.  Good day.
    • ???! How can faith in ancestors and land save one's soul? A lot of Asians have that type of faith. What was the deal with Issac then? Was that not of faith in what was to come? Abraham knew what he was doing was a figure of his faith.  Hebrews 11:17-19 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
