OK, now that we know who gong to be the running mates, who do you suppose will win this election. I'm not asking you who you will vote for, just who you pick to win. Many are saying because McCain picked Palin, a woman, many of those who were for Hillary will vote for the McCain ticket. But I feel that is not true. Most of her follower firmly believe in a woman's choice to abort if she wants to, with Palin against that, I just feel she will not get hardly any of the. I've though all along that Obama would go all the way, I still feel that he will, unless he makes a major mistake. But I must say, seems with McCain picking Palin has help him a bit, but not enough to…

A friend and I were discussing this . She attends a different church a Brethen Assembly. They are very conservative, close to IFB in practice and standards, at least her assembly is. Well they have this woman that attends every once in awhile. She dresses , well like the world, the bible would call it a harlot. Anyway, she is unsaved as of yet. She wears what my friend says is "cleavage first" and a short skirt. I asked has anyone said anything to her? She said, no we just warmly welcome her. Well I thought that was really great. But the truth is Im not so sure what my church would do. We rarely have visiters that dont belong to another church. Im …

Good afternoon, I was told that this is the correct part of the Forum to ask questions so here it goes: I was going through the Forum and I noticed that the Forum for Men is in the part for Independent Fundamental Baptist and the Forum for "Ladies" is in Christian Living. Is there a particular reason for this? Since we are talking about men and women and I am trying to learn about Baptists I'd also like to ask if Independent Fundamental Baptists consider it "ok" or "good" for a woman to become a pastor. Even if it is a pastor for the young people in a big community with 2 pastors? (my girlfriend is a baptist that is currently doing her masters in Theology and is consi…

What do you guys think about the movie theatre? I was always taught that the main reasons Christians didn't go was because (a) it was the appearance of evil and (b) we were supporting Hollywood. But to me it seems like we could be buying pornographic DVD's from Wal-Mart as well as we could be watching a bad movie at the theatre and that we spend more money supporting Hollywood buying movies from Wal-Mart than the theatre. Your thoughts?

Just watched CBS news and they said 2012 was the warmest year on record with an average of 55.3 degrees. Earlier I watched Sky News and they said South East Australia has the hottest temperature on record wit many bush fires and temperatures approaching 50.C. We have had a mild winter in this area so far, only with one night going down to -8C and a couple at 0 to -2. Last night it was about 8C just a tad down from the day temperature. We can normally expect temperatures just below or just above freezing during the nights at this time of the year. We have had the wettest year on record in some areas. However, a report on the news this evening said that the M…

I watched this special on ABC last night about UFO's. I was wondering what the consensus on UFO's was here. I was also wondering what y'all think about Roswell, Area 51, etc. since there seems to be a lot of conspiracy theorists on this board.

I don't know if I can believe that Noah had three sons of three different races; it seems that without supernatural intervention, this would be nearly impossible in his day. The main teaching is that Ham, Shem, and Japheth became the black race,; the European race (Caucasian) and the oriental race. This is surmised because of the countries they fled to (founded?) and the types of people we see there now. Genesis 10 says that they migrated from Ararat and became other nations, and divided the land into (at least) three nations, but there is one peculiar verse there that says "after their tongues" they were divided. The beginning of chapter 11 tells us that the world …

Hey all, I do gaming online. I play Call of Duty, which is a WWII game. Yes it is a first person shooter, but I am with an organization that goes out and spreads the Gospel to the gaming community. To learn more about the organization, here is the address, www.menofgod.us. To give an idea of why I do this let me explain a little about what I do. First there are over 3,000+ servers for this one game. In those servers there can be anywhere from 0-60 people in each one. Doing the math for 1 person per server, that is 3,000 people. I go into the game and play, making small talk and then I start witnessing to them. Telling them that Jesus loves them and that he died …

Ever since I decided to change the main focus of my ministry from the likes of KKK, I have been preaching to Catholics near one of their local dens. We have sent a spy into their congregation to see what members of different ages do after their massesand what have you. After that, we mapped them out by ages and are ministering to them at their places of after-church gatherings, such as local restaurants. My ministry has been particularly successful with Chick tracts. The following two work exceptionally well on the 35-50 years old crowd: http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/1057/1057_01.asp http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0040/0040_01.asp We are still tryi…

<<"Under the U.S. military code of conduct, armed forces on active duty are prohibited from trying to convert a person's faith.">> Quote from "Army Says it Confiscated Afghan Bibles">> http://www.military.com/news/article/ar ... ibles.html Now, if that is true, would it not be wrong for a child of God to be unequally yoked to the Military service in America? The person who joins the Military service would be put them self under someone who tells them to disobey God.
