Just the quote, interpretation should be left to the hearer...no arguing please. The crucible of adversity is a less severe trial to the Christian than the refining pot of prosperity. Morning by Morning, February 10, H.A. Spurgeon

Good Morning My name is Elaine Parson and my husband is Tim Parson and he is I think "Tim for God" jon your site I think. I just wanted to let all of you know that he passed away early in the morning June 14. He was comming home from Vacation Bible School and had a slight Motorcycle accident not even 1/2 mile from our home and something went wrong w/his heart and lungs while the Dr's were trying to get a CT Scan of his head and neck "just to check them out" and he went into cardiac arrest and could not be revived. My son Chris and I thank you for all of the kindness you have showed to Tim and all of the prayers when I was sick and having heart surgery. He would app…

Did anyone else see today's (3/21/13) episode of Dr. Phil about the religious cult in Liberty, Missouri (I think) called FOM/ Fellowship of Martyrs. Leader of cult calls himself a prophet of course. A couple with children gave up everything to live in a 70 rooms or apartments for the homeless. Wife thinks God told her to leave her husband and have relationship with other man now has a baby by someone else. Her legal husband left cult and took his children and was arrested for kidnapping! He's fighting mother in custody battle for his children since she is still in cult. The leader of the cult has over 900 sermons online. Apparently from what I understood it's a ministry…

In another thread, tired wrote:
Our youth are down at camp this week also. Down at the Wilds in NC so be in prayer for them also.
I was just wondering if anyone else's church sends their kids to the Wilds...or if anyone else had heard of the camp--like/dislike, etc.

I've not seen or read much from Jack Van Impe since the early 80s. From what I know, he used to be far more conservative than he is today. In any event, I wanted to ask a few questions in case anyone here may have the answers. The other night I couldn't sleep so I checked the Christian channels to see if anything was on. I found the Jack Van Impe program with his wife Rexella speaking. At first I thought it must be on old taped message because Rexella looked younger than the last time I had caught a view of her on TV. No, it was a current program, I can only assume Rexella has had some cosmetic surgery because she looked much younger than her age while I was shocked at …

Is it? I’m not into politics, because I’m not a fan of getting disappointed and my hope is in the return of Christ, not the return of conservatism (haha!) to the Republican party. At the same time I understand the responsibility to vote. From what I've heard, Romney is a liberal, Gingrich is a tramp, and Paul doesn't support Israel. What business do I have as Bible believing Christian voting any of them? At the same time Obama is a Communist. I enjoy having freedom, don't you? Should I refuse to vote and then secretly breathe a sigh of relief when my state goes red (I live in Idaho), or should I vote even if it's one of the above three guys? What's a guy su…

Adult Consensual Incest is A'Comin' 12/16/2010 11:51:00 AM By Laurie Higgins, Director of IFI's DSA -Illinois Family Institute Perhaps we can be forgiven for remaining blithely ignorant of just how depraved societies that abandon true faith can become. Until today, I did not know that incest between consenting adults is legal in China, France, Israel, the Ivory Coast, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain and Turkey. In Spain the age of consent is 13. In Switzerland, where consensual incest between "second-degree" relatives like aunts and nephews or between cousins is already legal, the Upper House of Parliament recently proposed a law decriminalizing consensual sex b…

Jessie you have been messing with the calendar again haven't you. Just because you have the same birthday as me doesn't mean that you have to go put it all over the internet (well that might be a bit of an exageration(sp?)). Jessie I am just kidding all though if it weren't for you and the rest of the annoying little people in our class that spred it because of my sis hardly noone would know when by birthday is.

A friend and I were discussing this . She attends a different church a Brethen Assembly. They are very conservative, close to IFB in practice and standards, at least her assembly is. Well they have this woman that attends every once in awhile. She dresses , well like the world, the bible would call it a harlot. Anyway, she is unsaved as of yet. She wears what my friend says is "cleavage first" and a short skirt. I asked has anyone said anything to her? She said, no we just warmly welcome her. Well I thought that was really great. But the truth is Im not so sure what my church would do. We rarely have visiters that dont belong to another church. Im …

I was listening to Greg Locke and he gave 7 reasons why people leave churches. This was according to "Christianity" Today. 7. Preacher is not friendly 6.Nothing for the kids 5. Facilities are filthy 4. All about money 3. Not exciting enough 2. I am not getting fed 1. Somebody offended me One thing I realized, and Bro. Locke pointed out, was there wasn't one about heresy, apostasy, linking up with heretics or apsotates. What do you guys think about this list?

This is different from the "Who Wins?" Poll, because that's just a guess on who's going to win and a lot of people here picked Obama, even though I know most of them aren't going to vote for him (obviously). I'm just curious... who are people on OB voting for? You can vote anonymously here on this poll, or you can vote and post your answer! :cool We've got about 55 days till election day... and we all know enough about the candidates by now... so take your pick! (btw, I set it so that you can change your vote if you want to, just in case someone changes their mind on who they want to vote for before the election gets here) Oh, and I picked McCain/Palin... just …

OK, now that we know who gong to be the running mates, who do you suppose will win this election. I'm not asking you who you will vote for, just who you pick to win. Many are saying because McCain picked Palin, a woman, many of those who were for Hillary will vote for the McCain ticket. But I feel that is not true. Most of her follower firmly believe in a woman's choice to abort if she wants to, with Palin against that, I just feel she will not get hardly any of the. I've though all along that Obama would go all the way, I still feel that he will, unless he makes a major mistake. But I must say, seems with McCain picking Palin has help him a bit, but not enough to…
