I don't know if this is the best place for this, if it please ove it. The eldest of my granddaughters is planning to transition. It is realily destroying my daughter. I said to her daughter that her mum was so upset that she could hardly speak as he was having difficulty holding back her tears. I said that what makes you think that Frankenstein doctors can make a better job than your creator. I also gave her several bible texts. The sad part is that when she was a teenager she went to camp and said she had become a Christian and was baptised and joined her local Baptist church. Soon after she went to stay with my daughter for a fortnight who said they had a…

I posted this on my facebook page so I figured I'd post it here as well. We held a Youth Rally yesterday with Pastor John Barnes preaching and I bought these bubble balls for the teens to play with. What a crazy game as the teens love it. Anyone ever play with these? Make sure the parents sign waivers before they play. lol

If you visit any country in the world, people wear clothing to protect themselves from the sun rays and the heat, here in America this does not apply, the more sun and heat, the less clothing people wear. Could this be a reason the skin cancer rate is very high also dehydration people not coping with the extreme temperatures. People walking around, almost naked it’s just not working. I think it’s a little too late to start learning from other cultures, the way they protect themselves from the extreme weather. It’s a little too weird to walk around with an umbrella on a sunny day, not cool. ?

Shekinah Glory 1 2

I just learned today that the word Shekinah (that supposedly means glory - though often they say it like Shekinah glory) that I have heard tons of writers and preachers used throughout the years is not from the Bible at all, but from the Jewish Talmud, the unbelieving Rabbinical commentary on the OT Scriptures (and commentary on their commentary - not joking). The two main words in the Bible for glory are: for the OT is kabowd, and for the NT is doxa. There are a couple of other words, but shekinah is NOT in the Bible at all It is not like using a non-Biblical word to describe an actual Biblical doctrine, like Trinity, rapture, incarnation - but actually is usin…

I remember, listening to preaching where during the second coming, the rapture of the Saints. Christians are removed from this earth, the nonbelievers, saying that it was the UFOs. The balloon activities we are seeing now, are having people think, and search for UFOs again. The lost preparation, for the removal of the Saints.

Title says it all. Name the best and worst thing. I'll start: Connecticut Best: The weather. We get all 4 seasons with an awesome fall. Summers are in the 80-90's and winters are not that bad or long. We also get all the natural disasters on a small scale. Earth quakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and blizzards. Worst: Taxes and cost of living. $$$$

I woke up on Sep 7th after having chills the night before. So, today I count as day 9. I'll be glad to get back to my local church, hopefully soon. I've had all the symptoms, bad headache, bones/joints ached, weariness, loss of smell/taste. It has not been the most pleasant experience.

People all around the world today are celebrating the international day of Yoga. This should not be a day that Christians celebrate. In yoga, there are many spirits and many gods. It’s not just a healthy exercise. Have a blessed day. Christians don’t have to celebrate, what the world celebrate. ?

I'd like to wish all of the Fathers here on OB a very blessed and happy Father's day. I was only a foster father way back when. But that was rewarding enough. Cherish your families, especially your children. They truly are a gift from God. Blessings. BT

Robbing or stealing in the house of God. People and some Christians have no fear. I’m not talking about robbing God with our tithes and offering. I’m talking about stealing money and property. No fear whatsoever, we all sinned and fall short, and do things that we shouldn’t, but we fear afterwords. These are religious leaders, who having no fear of taking what is not theirs, from the house of God treasures. All that I can say, is that you have guts, and cannot go down any lower.

Should the Christians focus on the stock market and invest in the stock market? Have you ever heard of a church investing the tithes and offering in the stock.

You are becoming a nut ? Be smart when you’re picking a fight. Sometimes arguing, and fighting are the same thing. True Christians try hard not to fall into this practice.

You join or start a discussion topic that you are interested in. Boy oh boy, this will be fun and I’m going to learn a lot. There are several people in the discussion and their input is helpful. There are some disagreements, but the answers have bible verses to back them up. Huh, I never thought of that. So far so good. You can navigate this. Then, out of the blue, some guy joins with crazy opinions. Black is white, up is down, light is dark, and there is no sky. Wait? What? No amount of bible seems to dent this guy. Then this guy starts insulting everybody on the thread. Suddenly the thread has been derailed, and you are frustrated. This seems to happen every time. …

Dear all, Greetings and many thanks for your time and care. Please consider this a No! No! and stop judging people. We have no right to do so, and we are blind, honestly, truly, we are blind. What do i know about you except that you show me, and how can i believe and trust my own eyes? It's so easy to judge people and we often do, including myself, but then as soon as i realise i am judging someone i repent and start rebuking myself of having done so. There is no good in this but we may fall in snares and we be judged, which is not desirable at all. When you go to the church or wherever you go, you see many people, do you see them as God sees…

Four years ago today my little sister LeAnne went home to be with the Lord after a valiant, three year battle against breast cancer. During those three years she had so many wonderful opportunities to share the gospel with those around her, and many came to know the Lord. I miss my sister a lot. She was one of the three in my family that I had no problem talking to and spending time with. I know that I will see her again when I also go home. Praise the Lord for salvation, and for his unfailing goodness to us. BT

The c*vid plandemic caused our nursing home ministry to come to a screeching halt. However, just recently we were able to schedule a monthly service at an assisted living center - where one of our members lives. The first service is tomorrow afternoon. It won't be until late afternoon, so that means staying all day...long day, for sure. But we are so thankful we are going to be able to begin ministering in this way once again.

The title to this post was taken from actual statistics from this site, but this is typical of many topics. Many more people view posts but make no comment. I can only guess why people don't take an active role in topics. I try to remember that for every reply there are many who only view. When I reply to a topic I try to remember that some are here to learn. When we are caustic in our replies, that's what they learn. If we avoid personal conflict and answer kindly, they learn that. This site is the best I have seen and I have been on several. Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
