Is it? I’m not into politics, because I’m not a fan of getting disappointed and my hope is in the return of Christ, not the return of conservatism (haha!) to the Republican party. At the same time I understand the responsibility to vote. From what I've heard, Romney is a liberal, Gingrich is a tramp, and Paul doesn't support Israel. What business do I have as Bible believing Christian voting any of them? At the same time Obama is a Communist. I enjoy having freedom, don't you? Should I refuse to vote and then secretly breathe a sigh of relief when my state goes red (I live in Idaho), or should I vote even if it's one of the above three guys? What's a guy su…

Are contemporary songs and music welcome in your church? Most of the Independent Baptist Churches sing using hymnals only? One more question, is it a sin to aloud any type of music into the church? These questions will help me and others, thank you.

This is different from the "Who Wins?" Poll, because that's just a guess on who's going to win and a lot of people here picked Obama, even though I know most of them aren't going to vote for him (obviously). I'm just curious... who are people on OB voting for? You can vote anonymously here on this poll, or you can vote and post your answer! :cool We've got about 55 days till election day... and we all know enough about the candidates by now... so take your pick! (btw, I set it so that you can change your vote if you want to, just in case someone changes their mind on who they want to vote for before the election gets here) Oh, and I picked McCain/Palin... just …

In light of the clear command in Romans 13 regarding government, were those who promoted and prosecuted the American Revolution violating the Word of God? Romans 13 1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that whic…

Satan is working overtime to ban guns in the U. S., and Obama is just the man to try it. He may succeed if these mass murders continue at the rate they have so far. Once the public is disarmed, we are at the mercy of one of the most corrupt government systems that we have seen yet, and woe unto us when this happens. Christians ought to be on their knees for America, and perhaps[s "Up in arms" for the more radical believers; freedom is worth fighting for too, as is "freedom of religion". I am afraid that our destruction in inevitable.

Are there any Roman "Catholic" Church members here at OB? I know the question is to a board for IFBers but, I just wondered. When a little girl turns 8 years old and gets baptised in the Roman Church what does it mean? Or, is it a ritual of passage, membership, or...?
