I'm just curious about this one. The number one argument against Ron Paul is that he isn't "electable." So I'm wondering, if Ron Paul won the GOP nomination, what would you do in November? I think Republicans would vote for my dog if she had an R in front of her name because they're so terrified of Obama (rightfully so). I think that anyone that wins the approval of the GOP instantly becomes eleactable in our current political climate. So that leaves the independents, what would they do? I think they'd vote for Paul as well, because many of his policies and his voting record appeal to indies: 1. Get rid of the income tax or lower it. 2. Bring the troops home.…

Although I am not a particular fan of President Lincoln (because of the unnecessary war between the states . . . . my feelings anyway), I believe the words from a speech he gave to apply as much today as they did in his day. The lawless mob that rules our nation today, from both Washington and Wall Street, is much more powerful than any our nation has ever faced in the past. . The following six paragraphs are from Abraham Lincoln in his Lyceum Address, January 27 1838 “At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourse…

So here’s the story: Obama killed three U.S. citizens in three weeks without any due process. There were all in Yemen, and they were all Muslims. A very unconstitutional precedent has been set which will eventually be used against Christians. http://larouchepac.com/node/19941

One could spend a lifetime in the study of false cults and isms and never come to the end of it. Rather let him come to know his Bible and his Lord so well that no false Christ can lead him astray. -Vance Havner

Is the GOP Becoming the War Party? By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - March 8, 2012 Denouncing Republican "bluster" about war with Iran, President Obama went on the offensive Tuesday: "Those who are ... beating the drums of war should explain clearly to the American people what they think the costs and benefits would be." The president had in mind such remarks as those Newt Gingrich delivered to the Israeli lobby AIPAC that same day: "The red line is now ... because the Iranians are deepening their commitment to nuclear weapons" -- an assertion the Joint Chiefs and U.S. intelligence agencies say is blatantly false. They insist: Iran has not made the decision to buil…

Did 'The Great Society' Ruin Society? By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - February 24, 2012 "I'm not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs a repair, I'll fix it." Thus did Mitt Romney supposedly commit the gaffe of the month -- for we are not to speak of the poor without unctuous empathy. Yet, as Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation reports in "Understanding Poverty in the United States: Surprising Facts About America's Poor," Mitt was more right about America's magnanimity than those who bewail her alleged indifference. First, who are the poor? To qualify, a family of four in 2010 needed to earn less than $22,314. Some 46 millio…

Is it? I’m not into politics, because I’m not a fan of getting disappointed and my hope is in the return of Christ, not the return of conservatism (haha!) to the Republican party. At the same time I understand the responsibility to vote. From what I've heard, Romney is a liberal, Gingrich is a tramp, and Paul doesn't support Israel. What business do I have as Bible believing Christian voting any of them? At the same time Obama is a Communist. I enjoy having freedom, don't you? Should I refuse to vote and then secretly breathe a sigh of relief when my state goes red (I live in Idaho), or should I vote even if it's one of the above three guys? What's a guy su…

To Tell, or To Hear Some New Thing 1 2

Now is as good a time as any... To Tell, or To Hear Some New Thing Acts 17:21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.) Hesitation, is it fear of offending, rejection, reprisal, or insufficiency? I’ve hesitated to post this because I knew I was implicating myself as much as anyone else. What do we do on social interaction web sites? We edify, right? Let’s hope that’s what we’re doing. If it isn’t to edify, then we need to examine motive. If the motive is wrong then we may need to verify we don’t have “an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.”

2 Cor 1:3-4 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. KJV James 1:2-4 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. KJV Rom 5:1-5 5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access …

The topic question is somewhat vague, I know, but I wonder of the layity has a right to admonish a preacher even when he is wrong? Where do we draw the line? If we pack up and leave because of decisions that are made, and out of our "field" then we are ostrcized for being critical or haed to get along with. many decision affect the direction of the entire church body, and therefore they are our business, but to go to the preacher to "straighten him out"? Let's have some thoughts on this.

Jonesboro Church Wars, Encyclopedia of Arkansas History In the 1930 two fractions of Baptist had much trouble, & it seemed to have turned into war. Never heard of such. I come across this this evening after getting back from visiting a sick woman in the hospital at hot Spring, about 70 or so miles from my home.

Faith and Finance Peace With or Without Prosperity, by Melissa Schworer It was an honor to be asked to review this book, I found it to be a great and easy read, not simplistic but easy to follow and understand the message of the book. What a breath of fresh air to find a book on "prosperity" tied to true Biblical principles and what God expects of us and then how we may be blessed by Him for following His principles. I highly recommend this book to every Christian and especially our youth preparing to enter life and marriage.

Hi everyone, I thought I'd let everyone know that the paperback is now available at www.truthandsong.com/store . It should be available on Amazon later this week. It is published by Daystar Publishing (Sam Gipp's company) and should be up on their site in a couple of weeks. Most Christians think you can lose your salvation, and many Baptists still struggle with assurance. This book is written in a very pratical, loving, simple, and educational way to help just about any Christian. The truth of eternal security dovetails with so many other New Testament doctrines that I believe this is a book that can help any Christian. After all, without assurance of salvation how…

The New Blacklist By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - February 17, 2012 My days as a political analyst at MSNBC have come to an end. After 10 enjoyable years, I am departing, after an incessant clamor from the left that to permit me continued access to the microphones of MSNBC would be an outrage against decency, and dangerous. The calls for my firing began almost immediately with the Oct. 18 publication of "Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?" A group called Color of Change, whose mission statement says that it "exists to strengthen Black America's political voice," claimed that my book espouses a "white supremacist ideology." Color of Change took p…

So I'm working hard to become about 25% less of the man I am today. I'm a fatty fat fatso! My work involves sitting on my butt all day and munching on Doritos! So, I've cut back a ton on the snackage and I exercise now. I've lost about 20 pounds. I've heard that the sauna and steam room can work to help lose weight as well, especially if you don't sweat a lot when you exercise (like me). My question is this: which is better for this purpose? Steam room or sauna?
