About three weeks ago, while passing out tracts, I had placed a tract on a public phone. Yes! A few public phones in this technological changing world still exist in Taiwan! The next Sunday a man and wife, who were visiting in the area, came for church services. In the introduction they let us know that they were already Christians, were visiting the area, and found our church through a tract placed on the top of a public phone. The wife then took the tract out of her purse and showed it to the congregation. The couple loved the Lord and were thankful for the tract. They visited the church for two Sunday services and then went back to their hometown (the capital of T…

WILL A PERSON WHO LOVES SIN AND DOES NOT WANT DELIVERANCE TRUST IN JESUS AS SAVIOR? All men are sinners by nature (Romans 3:23). Sinners love darkness, that is sin and sinful practices. Should a sinner be convicted of his sins, feel sorry about it and change his mind and heart concerning sin in order to trust in Jesus as Savior, or is it okay to continue loving sin and desiring it at the same time trusting in Jesus as Savior?

I've become good friends with a lady who lives down my street. I actually met her soulwinning one day just passing out a tract and an invitation for church. She was sitting outside on her porch, which made her easily approachable. The next day, she was sitting outside again and we talked again over many days, just chit chat. She knows church and my Christianity is important to me. Today, she had butterfly suncatcher on her window. I told her how much I love butterflies and how the represent salvation from being a disgusting worm to a beautiful butterfly. I started asking about her religious upbringing and such, she said she was raised Baptist. I asked if she was saved …

Aside from spiritual advice, counsel, etc such as "have faith", etc... what is one practical tip you would like to share with those that are new to door-to-door evangelism? I'll compile the list here as well if I am able to edit, I'll start: Know your community's culture. Example: Words such as "omnipresence" may be understood in one community but not in other communities. Pay attention to people's verbal/non-verbal cues. If they don't want to talk, and are just being polite, give them an out and try to leave something for them to read. As you're able...as the respondent permits...and as time permits...give them the actual gospel. Don't side-step…

Fellow Soul Winners, We are missionaries to the Chinese on Taiwan. If there is any body that would like some free Chinese tracts please let me know. Unless the cost gets to high, I will send up to a 100 tracts, free of charge, and I will pay the postage, to any one who will use them. If you do not know any Chinese all you have to do is visit any (real) Chinese restaurant. These tracts are written in, "Traditional Chinese," for Chinese people in the States, Taiwan, Canada and most other locations. For those in Hong Kong and mainland, or communist, China I cannot at this time supply them for two reasons. One. I cannot mail them to China. Two. In those location…

Right before Labor Day, our family went back to GA (where we lived for around three years, before moving to KY), to attend the funeral of a dear friend and church member. Brother Gary Wells, Pastor of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Summerville, GA, challenged his folk with what the LORD put on his heart for/on that Sunday morning and here it is, for your edification too. The songs before the message, are from my wife and I. http://jeremiah616.sermon.net/main/main/21272124

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19) There are always disagreements that I have with certain preachers and bible teachers of the past and the present; however, I do find one statement from C.H. Spurgeon that is absolutely TRUE as the Word of God can testify of its veracity. It is: "Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you're not saved yourself, be sure of that!" The Word of God is replete with passages instructing us to minister to those who are lost and in dire need of the Gospel message (Matt. 9:37-38; 10:7-14; Mk. 16:15; Rom. 1:16; 1 Cor. 1:17; 2 Cor. 5:20; Eph. 2:10; 4:11; 2 Tim. 2:15; 4:5; 1 Pet…

No one receives life until God gives that person a spirit. So God knew about every single person who was ever born and planned that birth perfectly (cf. Ex. 4:11). In other words, we are all "in the right place" and we all are given lives "at the right point in history" even though we exercise free will. It's not an accident that the twelve disciples were born at roughly the same time Jesus was born and in the same locality. That was their time and place. The Lord in His Absolute Sovereignty knew very well that they would respond and be the "right disciples" for Him (even if one was "a devil" -- that was part of the plan too). On the other hand, what if a person was not g…

Since it is obvious that Repentance is necessary for salvation, we should be concerned with what it is as soul winners, but I wonder how often the word is actual defined properly. Can you define repentance as it relates to salvation with the following 1. Using the lexical meaning of the word and not your own preconceived theological notions of what the word means 2. taking into account the context of biblical passages that contain the word

Today I began working on a Evangelism Course, I have basically completed the lessons, Tomorrow I will begin recording, and eventually I hope to have them on C.D.s and I will have them available in DVD cases. If this is something you might be interested in having please let me know, I can give you C.D.s with recorded lessons, and/or I can give you my electronic notes/outline. The Intention of the course is for New Believers or those who need practical help, and a biblical philosophy of Evangelism. I know I am not anything special, but the course is biblical and I believe has God's blessing upon it.

Please note, I am not sure I exactly agree with everything here, the verse are NKJV and not KJV sorry about that, what are your thoughts? "Another reason why some people in evangelical churches remain unsaved is the way in which the Gospel is presented. Many dedicated Christians present the Gospel in such a way that unsaved, unprepared people do not understand that they deserve only God’s judgment, that salvation is completely God’s work, and that sinners are unable to contribute anything towards their own salvation. Romans 1:3 tells us that the Gospel is God’s good news “concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” It is God’s assurance…

I decided to write this after seeing a artist's rendering of decapitated people on another thread. It made me think of Martyrdom and the death of Christ on the Cross. Martyrdom's such as beheadings are quite common; but there are also other forms of punishment that have been suffered by faithful witnesses of Christ and His testimony. If you're a missionary or evangelizing in areas like the Middle East, there's always a probability of losing one's life for disseminating the Gospel, especially if Christ is hated by a specific sect or extremist factions. When faced in a situation when Martyrdom is a good possibility, we should be encouraged not to back down from being a fait…

While I was in California, I regularly would go door to door soulwinning. In the poorer areas of the city, I would ask the question "If you died today are you %100 sure you are on your way to heaven?" and they were very receptive to the question, very thoughtful of it and I was able to give the gospel, now in the richer areas of the city I would ask the EXACT SAME QUESTION and it was not received well at all! I got chewed out quite a few times and it was slightly unsettling since I had never had that reaction before... Is there another way I should begin going into the gospel or continue on this way? I'd love to hear from veteran and newer soulwinners with advice an…

Does anyone know of any specific Gospel tracts that emphasize and explain sin clearly? Most Gospel tracts I have seen quite frankly go straight into the Good News, while giving one sentence on the bad news. I mean Gospel tracts seems so quick to give the cure before really explaining the problem.

Hi everyone, I am starting a soul winning class at my church for adults and teenagers and anyone else who would like to be involved. I know what I am going to teach. But I want to make it fun for everyone- not just me standing in front saying a bunch of stuff. Do y'all have any ideas of things I could do to spice it up and make it fun for everyone so that they enjoy it? Any group activity ideas, anything at all? I could really use all the help I can get. Thanks!!

I have an amazing testimony to share in the hope it will help win souls to Jesus, the Son of God. However, I wonder how to present my testimony. Here is a chapter from my autobiography. I got the idea of writing an autobiography for soul winning when I was told by a friend at church that this chapter alone happening in my life meant I should write a book: The God of All Creation Now, while I was in college, I had two Christian friends, a couple, whose faith I became interested in. So, I decided to ask them how to understand Christianity. They told me to read the Bible starting with the Gospels and pray, and I would see that a Christian life would grow on me as i…

"I don't believe in lifestyle evangelism." I ask this because in recent years I seem to hear this more and more, especially from pastors and so called soul winners. In my experience this seems to come from those who actively practice what we have come to know as "easy believism" in their soul winning endeavors. As you can imagine from my question, I do not agree with this statement and my answer to it is this: Mat. 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so…

Hey y'all just wanted some thoughts on sharing the gospel with Mormon's. I've got a old friend in prison right now that I've been writing to and he told me he's reading the book of Mormon and the Bible. His family is Mormon, and he grew up going to their church. I moved back to my hometown and started hanging out with him again, and found out he had a really bad methamphetamine addiction. My prayer for him after I found this out was that he would get arrested before things got worse. Praise the Lord! Before he got arrested I had the opportunity to have many hard talks with him about what he was doing and talked with him about Jesus. I'm currently writing a letter to…

When we tell people that Jesus is the only way to Heaven we tend to quote John 14 v 6 and, perhaps, Acts 4 v 12. It is interesting to note that there are many other verses that clearly teach this essential truth that we can use alongside the more "famous" ones: John 3 v 18 and 36 John 6 v 53 and 68 John 8 v 24 John 10 v 1 and 7 together John 12 v 48 John 15 v 6 1st Tim 2 v 5 1st John 5 v 12 2nd John v9 Hope this is helpful.

I have in my possession a Personal Worker's Testament, which is the New Testament in the KJV with the various "salvation" verses marked. It follows numerous subjects through as chain references, and is an invaluable guide when witnessing. I've never found the KJV to be a problem with witnessing and this handy NT is excellent. Has anyone else got one, or come across it?

2 street preachers have been convicted in an English court (see below) http://www.christianconcern.com/our-concerns/freedom-of-speech/street-preachers-convicted-for-quoting-bible-in-modern-day-heresy-tri What is disturbing about this is that the prosecutor (persecutor) stated that "in the context of modern British society some verses of the Bible are abusive and criminal" and made particular reference to John 14 v 6. In my street work I frequently quote this verse, as the teaching of Jesus being the only way of Salvation, is an intrinsic part of the Gospel. Please pray for us Brits. We are now under real pressure to compromise the Gospel.
