My son Jeff lives in Coventry - he has two children, Naomi (6) & William (3) William is 30 seconds into the video - eating a biscuit. This should have been a Christian marriage but sadly Louise has decided she wants a divorce from a loving & supportive husband & Daddy.

I was voicing with someone about Christians needs to be discerning about what they watch, do and say and get into, She was commenting about a movie she seen today and I said it wasn't family approved. Then she said that she don't go unto 100 percent Christian message boards, websites and ETC to get info to avoid a movie or tv show or book because one cuss word, nudity and etc. I told her that we avoid these movies because we are to be discerning, I am wondering have you been told your a 100 percent Christian and have you of this term before?

Married folks how do you handle when others flirt with you? What about when they ask you out? Or when the opposite sex puts their arm around you, pats or rubs your back. I often take my wedding ring off at work while doing procdures (blood and diamonds don't go together  )and forgot to put my ring back on. Although I am a chunky girl, I still get asked out and flirted with. I usually say "my husband don't let me date" and slip my ring back on. and walk away. The other thing is I work with a bunch of touchy people. The men and some women I work with will come up give you a hug, rub your shoulders and even put their arm around you. It is all in a friendly mann…

A friend of the family recently came to us in need of some advice, help us help her out. Her daughter was recently raped by a young Baptist man and she became pregnant. Now this vile girl is threatening to charge this man. The worst part is she won't even consider marrying this man. Any advice I can pass on?

Last weekend a student from our local college wasspeeding to get home to see the football game when he ran into an oil Rig at a high rate of speed. . I posted this to encourage others not to speed just to get home and see something that you can tape on your VCR or DVD. Ask youself if speeding just to see something is worth possibly losing your life? I don't believe it is.

. While husbands are commanded to love their wives; the wives are commanded not to love their husbands, but rather, to respect them. †. Eph 5:3 . . And the wife, see that she reverence her husband. †. Eph 5:22 . .Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Shaunti Feldhahn relates a survey taken among segregated groups of men and women with this question: Given a choice; would you rather be disrespected, or would you rather live alone and unloved in the world? Just about every one of the ladies chose disrespect rather than living alone and unloved in the world; while the men chose to live alone and unloved rather than be disrespected. This…

Recently, I've been extremely confused about what the process of courtship is supposed to look like in my life. I was saved at the age of 10 but raised in a non-Christian household. When, I was 18, I left home because I wasn't allowed to attend church, read my Bible, etc. My parents (more specifically my dad) did not want me practicing Christianity under their roof and ultimately gave me the choice of renouncing my faith or moving out. Today, I have a relationship with my mom but my father is still refusing to speak to me and has vowed not to walk me down the aisle when I get married. I have been attending a small (50 people) independent Baptist church for a little while …

I was planning on posting this tomorrow, but just couldn't wait! Hope it can be of use to someone. We need to seek out principles for restoring relationships, and remember that love always prevails. 1. Reminisce about past shared experiences. Remember the “good old days”. Times spent, things done together. 2. Don’t be afraid to “eat crow”. Swallow your pride. --Pride is destructive; it seldom, if ever, edifies. Why not take the blame for the problem? 1 Cor. 6:7 At least make it right on your end. 3. Build dreams with them! Talk of “better days” ahead; Instill in them a new hope. Find something to compliment them on (Need not lie, everyone has…

Parenthood Many folks say, or think, that parenthood is a “no brainier”. They consider it “child’s play”, and yet when you think about it, by the time your children grow up and leave home, you have functioned in many professional fields. By the time they are grown, the parent has learned much; they have experience as judges; nurses; social workers; pharmacists; policemen; lawyers; teachers; handymen; scientists; referee’s; care providers, and many more. Though men scoff at parenting as if it were of little importance, or prestige, and though many think it to be a “simple” thing for the simple minded, and they look at it with disdain and scorning, it is essential in …

Here's another one she wrote. It's for ladies, as you proably noticed though, I'm not a lady, so I can't post this in the ladies forum. It's a very good series of articles that I think ladies who have to go through the trials and tribulations of being modest and yet in fashion will appreciate. Feel free to leave a comment on the blog, I'm sure she'd love to hear from you. -- My prayer and purpose for this topic is to strike that balance between being “in this world and not of this world” in regards to The FIVE “F’s”: Fashion, Fit, Femininity, Function, and Frugality in a way that conforms to God’s word. Please enjoy reading my philosophy and frustrations of fa…

For the past few years, since 1999, I have been in deep depression about my divorce. It is over, but I cannot seem to get pass the fact that is happened and divorce was wrong in the eyes of God. I feel as though I cannot be useful to God because of it.... Just venting.

My 9 year old son woke me up this morning by saying, "Dad, I need your help." He walked into to the bathroom, and I followed him, turned on the light, and saw melted chocolate all over his face, hair, pajama shirt, and arm. He said he took chocolate chips out of the kitchen during the night and brought them to his bed. He fell asleep before he could eat them all, and now he, and the bed (sheets, blanket, and pillows) are covered in melted chocolate. I gave him a washcloth and told him to wash himself up. Since I was needing to leave for work, I let him know that he was in BIG trouble and sent him to the extra bed. My wife told my son that he has lost priveleges …

Ok, let me start this off by saying that I was divorced and have since remarried. That is NOT what this discussion is about, so please keep those comments to yourself. Anyway, my ex-wife and I have 2 kids together (11 and 9). My wife and I have 3 kids together (5, 3 and 2). We are members of a local IFB church and absolutely love it. However, let me give you the backstory to all this. My ex and I graduated from Bible college and served on staff of a church where we felt God had called us into missions. Therefore, we have the same biblical foundation and beliefs. Now, to the present. My ex has since remarried and he DEMANDS they attend a Presbyterian church. He h…

Complete Article by my wife. (My four year old daughter asked me, with no previous prompting and much to my discomfort, that question. Do you see a difference? It's so subtle I didn't even notice, but it wasn't subtle to the innocent unconditioned mind of a little child. Out of the mouths of babes.) In the first few years of my marriage, I became aware of three marriages that were affected by pornography within my circle of friends. In two of the cases, the men refused to change their ways and the marriages ended and children were left without an intact home. In the third case, the man repented and through God’s grace, forgiveness, some boundaries and accountabilit…

Here's part of an article my wife wrote. You can find the entire article here: http://melissaattruthandsong.blogspot.com/2010/08/raising-versus-training.html -- In the book, “Raising Respectful Children in a Disrespectful World” the author talks about the difference between Parent Centered Homes, Child Centered Homes and Character Centered Homes. EVERY CHILD’S UNDOING I call a “Parent Centered Home” one where you “raise” your child. Raising a child entails that they have a roof over their head, food in their belly, and stay alive until they leave the home; they occupy themselves … at least they occupy themselves until they become a disturbance to the parent. T…

. No doubt someone's nose is going to get bent over this topic but let me assure them I don't mean Mr. Clinton's daughter any harm but only to utilize her recent marriage as a convenient OBject lesson. Chelsea' marriage is off to a very, very bad start; in point of fact, it's a marriage made in Hell. Why do I say that? Because the bride's religion is Christianity, while that of the groom's is Judaism: two religions which are totally incompatible. †. 2 Cor 6:14-18 . . Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or…

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Prov. 22:6 All training is rigorous, whether it is in working out physically, or training for a new position in our career. Whatever the training is for, it is never easy; it consists of several elements, including instruction, discipline, hard work, and much patient love. Training a child is no exception. It takes diligence on the part of the instructor, or teacher, but especially the parent. Much time and prayer is needed to “do it right”, and with children, we often only get one chance to get it right. Often, when we have failed to do our part, we remind each other tha…
