"A longtime advocate for community building, Epstein and his group of atheists have begun to build their Cambridge community and solemnize its Sunday meetings to resemble a traditional religious service. To Epstein, religion is not all bad, and there is no reason to reject its helpful aspects." http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2013/06/22/church-without-god-by-design/ Interesting - here appears to be a humanist who recognizes the religiosity in his beliefs.

The Anglican church is experimenting with paganism to try to gain back its members that have switched to paganism. Sigh. They are so dead they're losing even the lost - those who are really seeking for something are leaving since they aren't finding it in the Church of England - but their solution only follows those poor souls further into darkness. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/10133906/Church-of-England-creating-pagan-church-to-recruit-members.html Looking through some pictures of this summer's solstice 'celebration' at Stonehenge, I find it ironic that the pagan celebrants, so lost in darkness, revere the sun's light. There were pictures of peo…

I have recently pondered a new argument against Calvinism that I would like your thoughts on. It is regarding the Calvinist belief that God controls all things based upon predestination and sovereignty, and the lack of uniformity among Calvinists and John Calvin's own beliefs. My theory is that if God forced salvation against our wills, and Jesus affirmed that if any man will do His will he shall KNOW of the doctrine, then would it make sense that God would impose salvation, but not uniformity in doctrine among Calvinists? If God forces salvation, then why wouldn't He logically force ones belief system? If God is the author of sin, He would be the author of heresy as w…

Each month I get an issue of House to House, Heart to Heart from the churches of Christ. This months issue has an article that clearly states this writer believes only those who are in the churches of Christ will see Heaven. You can click on the title of the article above & read it for yourself. I mentioned recently the local church of Christ had a week long meeting running at least 2 adds in our local paper, maybe more. One add was pointed at us who teach a person is saved only by grace though faith not of your self not of work its a gift, telling the people to attend our meeting so they can find out the truth them be assured they are members of the group of chur…

Four foreign Christians—including one who holds American-Swedish citizenship—were arrested days ago in Libya. According to the Guardian, their crime is arousing “suspicion of being missionaries and distributing Christian literature, a charge that could carry the death penalty.” Apparently the four Christians had “contracted a local printer to produce pamphlets explaining Christianity.” Proselytizing to Muslims—that is, preaching to them another religion—was banned even under the late Col. Muammar Gaddafi.'' Read the Article Here

Comments were from OB's "Messenger" (Personal Messaging) You're under a misconception. My posts are 90% from the Holy Spirit, the KJB, and me. I do quote other like minded people from time to time but, I prefer what God has shown me. Also, I may quote some authors which some seem to disapprove of but only to provide clarity or drive a point home. Read all of my past posts on the Roman Church, you'll find they are original and you won't find them on the internet, unless my name is with them. What I’ve learned is primarily from scripture. My understanding of the Roman Church never came from a pulpit; it came from study and experience. My first…

McMahon, T.A. November 1, 2002 The above title became a source of controversy when I used it for a talk given at a recent prophecy conference. What I found curious about the commotion was that it came from Catholics (and some evangelicals) who had yet to hear my presentation. Furthermore, the title reflects the hope and prayers of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue. Rome has been tilling this "common ground" with Islam for decades, as evidenced by the 1994 Vatican publication, Recognize the Spiritual Bonds Which Unite Us: 16 Years of Christian-Muslim Dialogue. Why, therefore, would anyone be upset by my simply repeating what the Roman Catholic Church ve…

Roman Sacraments Appointed By Men

When you butt heads with God you will lose. Below you find the beginning of the Roman Church's lengthy defense of their obvious fallacy. They make every attempt to put this discussion beyond the ability of an average member of their religion to understand. Have any of you ever gone to the Roman web site and attempted to read their justification for their faith. Take your online dictionary with you. It becomes obvious they rely on authority attributed to their own church "fathers." Roman Church Sacraments Almighty God can and does give grace to men in answer to their internal aspirations and prayers without the use of any external sign or ceremony. This will always be …

The Eucharist (as practiced by the Roman Church) March 29, 2010 This morning, during prayer, I was halted to consider a catechism. It may have had much to do with a recent celebration of the Lord’s Supper at my local church. We know the doctrine our Baptist churches teach concerning this ordinance instituted by our Lord, Jesus Christ. Most of us are familiar with Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22, teaching about the ordinance and both its symbolic and spiritual significance Also, John 6 teaching symbolic and spiritual significance of receiving Christ as Lord. We also know how the Roman Church takes this scripture, particularly John and perverts it to a man instituted m…

There is a man here in the Philippines that claims to be the appointed Son of God. He says that we are not living in the church age anymore but living in the kingdom. It is sad!! he has his own network and followers all over the world.
