I've moved into senior age, which obviously means losing parents, aunts, uncles, etc. I still have my mom, praise the Lord! Lost my uncle a few weeks ago, and Randy lost one of his, too. Yesterday I found out that my Aunt Sharon, the last of the older generation other than my mom, has covid. She is my dad's last living sibling. She is a Christian, so we know where she will spend eternity, but she is also my dad's last living sibling. She is a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother and is very active in her church. Obviously family (which includes me) doesn't want to lose her just yet. I would greatly appreciate prayer for her healing. She was supposed to…

My brother-in-law, Terry Wood, has been in the hospital for over a month now fighting covid and damage to his lungs. The doctors thought for a long while they were going to have to place him on the ventilator, but came to the conclusion that if they put him on it he would never come off of it alive. So, they upped his oxygen. Part of his problem is that when his O2 levels go down, he panics and get himself riled up and frustrated, and this works against the oxygen. So, from what I understan they were moving him earlier this week to a convalescence center in Augusta to regain strength, and they were going to try and ween him off of the oxygen. If this doesn't work, he may …

We have some friends who have been hit with covid. The wife recovered, but it still recuperating and tires very easily. Her husband got pneumonia from it and is now in the hospital on oxygen. It looks like he is improving as they've lowered his oxygen, but please pray for healing. She would like him to come home, believing that he would rest better (we all know that's likely true), but not while his oxygen is iffy. Please pray for recovery. They are missionaries, home on furlough. Their country of service is very harsh about covid, and they have had a lot to deal with. They come home and after just a few weeks get sick. The advantage is they will now be immune, but i…

I believe I've mentioned my BIL on here one time already, ,but this is an update if I have....We just got word that Terry has been moved to 100% oxygen and the next step to keep him alive would be the ventilator. He's been in the hospital for over two weeks now, and has made progress and then taken a downward spiral time and again. The doctors said that they believe the ventilator is the only way they'll keep him alive. Please pray that this isn't necessary and that his condition will improve. I know he'd appreciate your prayers, as would the rest of his immediate family. Thank you.

My brother in law's birthday is today. When I sent him a "Happy Birthday" wish on FB, he sent me a Message saying my sister Michele in Augusta, GA was in the hospital. She had a very serious flare-up of her MS yesterday and went into convulsions. He was at work (he works as a Richmond County (Augusta) Sheriff's deputy. He couldn't get ahold of her when he called, so he asked a friend to go and check on her. The friend found her in serious condition and called Al at work. His supervisor sent him home. He got some meds into her, and she slept until 6 PM last night. When she got up, it had started all over again. So, he took her to the ER....They admitted her. Blood work has…

My brother-in-law has been in the hospital in Augusta, GA for nearly a week now on oxygen...they just told his wife he has pnuemonia (Covid), and they are planning on putting him on a ventilator tonight if his breathing hasn't improved by 9 Eastern. His wife is still recovering from covid, as are his two sons who live in the same mobile home park in N. Augusta, SC. Many in our family in the Augusta area have covid right now. Many HAVE BEEN vaccinated...I'm sure they ALL would appreciate your prayers.

our AC went out almost two weeks ago. the repairman came out and said we needed a new fan motor. had to wait a week until payday, and the the fan worked great, but after awhile it became obvious it wasn't putting out cool air. he came out last night and found that the freon level was fine but the coil is encrusted with lint, fur, etc. he is coming out again tonight to clean it properly. we are praying that this will fix the problem. it's been pretty miserable here, not so hot the last few days but the humidity is brutal.

My wife, Vivian, and I have been seeking the Lord's guidance on whether or not to move back to the Augusta, GA/North Augusta, SC area. We've been praying about this possibility for the last two years, but while in Augusta for our nieces graduation from the Augusta Univeristy School of Nursing degree program, we felt a pull stronger than before. We have been away from the Augusta area for 30 years this year, but we definitely felt that we were possibly being led back to that area. We love it here where we are, so we asked the Lord to help make it clear to us what HE wanted us to do. Last evening the neighbor who took me to the Nashville to Vanderbilt when Vivian was nearly…

I have had bilateral Meniere's Disease for nearly 45 years. It starts acting up, and then just as suddenly as it showed up, goes into remission. For those of you who don't know why bilateral Meniere's disease is, it's a disease of the inner ear (bilateral meaning it's in both ears...one of the rarest types a person can have) that causes loss of balance, vertigo attacks, strong ringing or whirring in the ears, loss of hearing, migraines/cluster headaches and possible temporary loss of vision, and many other side-effects. I went through a series of what they call decadron injections in my left inne ear in May of this year, hoping to alleviate some of the vertigo symptoms ca…

I was just notified a few minutes ago that my ex-bil is in a coma in the hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He is dying of pancreatic cancer. His daughters found him in the house he and his wife own. His wife had locked him in one of the bedrooms with no food, water, medication or facilities (he had to use the trash can for bathroom needs), and seven bottles of his medication are missing. We will not speculate at this point where they went. This is the second time the girls have found him in this condition. They removed him last night, and took him to his sisters house, and he collapsed twenty minutes after getting there. At 1 PM EST, he was intubated. The daughters were g…

I will pray for any and all requests. If you don't feel comfortable posting them here, please, feel free to message me with the request. I know that many requests are listed by people as "unspoken," and that is fine. I will pray for these requests as I do for all others. I know that prayer works, and wish to encourage others to develop a vibrant, healthy prayer life. Remember, Jesus taught his disciples to pray, and we should be willing to pray for one another. If you wish to help me start on OnlineBaptist prayer group, please let me know...that is, if the administrators don't mind. I haven't checked with them in advance. Thank you, and God Bless as you serve in pr…

One of my nieces in Illinois has had the coronavirus for the past 14 days. She is in the hospital and is receiving injections in her stomach, is on oxygen, and will probably be in the hospital for the next week or so. She has a young son who has been exposed to the virus, as has my sister and her husband since my niece lives with them. We were supposed to go to Illinois to meet a brother whom we just discovered last year, but, it looks like we won't be going there, instead going to Indiana to see my birth father. I didn't want to drag the coronavirus over to him since he's dying from stage 4 emphysema. Please pray for my niece and her son, and for her mom and step-dad. Th…

OK, so my older brother, who was a big influence on me getting saved when I was 18, is back in church and it's an IFB church. His wife said he really likes it so far. Pray that God really gets ahold of him. He was going to an IFB church for years but something happen that really burned him. Then he went to a Southern Baptist but never cared for the CCM music and the Church politics but loved the pastor. After he moved he went to a non-denominational but thought the men were weak and effeminate. Then a home bible study until the man leading the study sadly committed suicide. He said he's back into an IFB church because of the traditional music and he thinks the men of the …

I have been witnessing to my birth father and my bonus mom for several years, and my birth father had continued to ask queestions. He is dying of stage 4 emphesyma, and he doesn't have mjuch longer to live. He knows the choice that needs to be made, but has been reluctant to make any decision. He is a former Marine, and is very set in his ways. His other children from this marriage have all been incarcerated at one time or another, and are leading very worldly lives...one brother being in Orlando, hooked on drugs, the other brother living in the Louisville, KY area, just miles away from our father, shacked up with a woman, and my 1/2 sister, also living in the Louisville…

One of my dearest friends lost her father today. We are rejoicing that he is in Glory, but those of us who have lost our dads know the grief that settles in. I used to spend time at her house during days off from college and grew to dearly love her parents. Her mom is still here, but is not well. I would appreciate prayer for the Hughes family as they begin their journey of grieving. Thank you. It is a wonderful comfort to know he's with the Lord.

I know all of our churches can use prayer, but I would like to ask prayer for our church Highpoint Baptist Church. We are on the verge on certain days of out-growing our little building and need to seek the Lords guidance. Serving the Lord is great. Here is our most recent baptism that we had 2 weeks ago. https://photos.app.goo.gl/cPGc9RJyZbCCaEdx6

I am posting this with permission from the family. One of our members @Alan has gone on to be with the Lord last week. Alan was a great contributor here, and was a blessing and encouragement to many on Online Baptist. Alan will truly be missed on this earth, but he is now with our creator. Please keep the family in your prayers during this time as there are details that need to be worked out. Please feel free to comment below on how Alan was an encouragement and/or blessing to you.

I was very young when my mother and father divorced and was adopted by my mother's second husband. I finally found my biological father way back in the 1980s, and we have stayed in touch. I have witnessed to him and my stepmother several times, but they seem to be dead set against God for many years. Now that my father is dying of emphysema, he is asking questions at times about God, Salvation and forgiveness. I continue to witness to him. He is in stage 4 of the emphysema, and he doesn't have many months or years left. Please pray that he will accept the Lord, and that my stepmother will follow suite. I have one half-brother from this marriage that has drug issues, one t…

So my Dad's remaining brother contracted covid, as did his wife. (Just FYI - this is not a thread about covid, so don't make it so...just know that masking, "social" distancing, isolation, etc., were all practiced by the family and yet he and his wife contracted covid. Viruses are gonna virus...) My uncle, Dave, ended up in ICU on a respirator. Today I was told that they had to take him off everything - they had to remove air from around his heart and lungs, so the oxygen had to be removed. He had suffered a number of strokes and there is no brain activity. And they said it is only a matter of time. My uncle is saved, and will be reunited with his parents, my da…

The military takeover of Myanmar is growing worse. I know of a missionary family who was successfully evacuated with other foreigners, but others are still there. The local church I work with here in Taiwan is close friends with a Myanmar pastor who has disappeared, he was last heard from on February 18th. People are being murdered in the streets, and as they flee from the military/police they head to churches for safety, but these places of refuge are ignored by the military/police, they are breaking down the gates and doors to arrest anyone who flees into these buildings, and even arrest the pastors for giving the people sanctuary. https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en…

Please pray for my friend Laurie. Her husband Doug died of Covid-19 this morning, Saturday, October 10th. Doug was also a friend. We found we had a number of things in common. Both of us were in the Army in Germany when the Berlin Wall was built in August 1961. We both were in interested in history. Put Laurie, and all wives and husbands who have a spouse suffering with Covid-19. Thanks.

We are literally burning! CA has over 3400 SQUARE MILES that have burned (just to give a little sense of distance, it's 2200 miles from here - Sequim, WA - to Indiana...). OR and WA are also burning. We have lost over 330,000 acres in just 24 hours here in WA. There are fires raging in other western states as well Now, I know someone will probably say that CA is reaping what the government has sown re: closing churches, etc. And that is quite likely. But I do know that it is also a mismanagement of land care by Democrat officials who like to claim environmental care (you know, tree hugger stuff...don't chop 'em down at all) over anything else. Problem is that when a …

I learned last night of the passing of Bonita Sharp. We met her when she came to college while my husband was in school. She married Gene Sharp and they have had a ministry setting up radio stations all over the world. She leaves behind her husband, 5 kids, sister, parents, and a slew of friends. We know, as Christians, that she is in Glory. She kept her appointment and was ready to go, even though it was unexpected - a head-on collision in a rain storm. But the grief for those left behind is very real, as those of us who have lost loved ones know. Please pray for the family.

Tonight Trump announced that he and his wife have tested positive for covid. Now, there are a lot of thoughts on the thing (I'm not convinced it's a pandemic...a virus, yes). But the fact remains that they've tested positive, so we need to pray for them.
