Here I was, complaining about the heat.....little did I know. July 30, 2022. at 2 am, I just got home from a hair raising trip. Late afternoon it rained hard with thunder and lightning. It felt so wonderful because it cooled off the air outside. Then the good stuff changed to really bad stuff. We got a call from friends in Yreka city to ask if we were OK because they had heard there was a wildfire near us. We told them we were fine and we had not heard of any fire. They called back and told us where they heard it was, which was back towards Horse Creek and Klamath River. Sooo, I thought I should go and see if there was one and how bad it was; I won't ever do that a…

I have a fungal infection that is getting worse, not better - even after 6 days of antifungal medication. I have tried getting answers as well as trying to get into Abbotsford urgent and primary care, which the nurse hotline suggested. I have decided to go to the hospital today (which was where I went last Friday and got the prescription for the anti-fungal medication) to see what further treatment and answers I can get. Yesterday morning, my nephew who lives with me showed me what looked like a couple bug bites on his hip, then last night had a red patch on his stomach - which is how my symptoms started. I was thinking originally that this fungal infection might hav…

On Wednesday evening while taking Bailey out to go potty, Vivian took a spill in the side yard. She fell hard on her right side as Bailey came running towards me. She couldn't turn fast enough and he hit her and she went down. At any rate, we thought she had just bruised her shoulder. But, Thursday she couldn't raise her arm, but didn't want to go to the doctor. That changed yesterday when I had to take her into Murfreesboro to the Urgent Care. They believed her shoulder to be dislocated and told us to go to an Emergency room. We did, and found that Vivian had broken her humerus bone in her left arm. She's got to see a bone specialist sometime this week. She's in a lot of…

Last May (2021) I started and finished a 3 shot treatment for continuing vertigo and tinnitus attacks in my left ear. It seemed to have worked until I got "the vid" at the end of August last year. But early to mid October, the vertigo had come back full on. I dealt with it through diet for a short while, but it's consistantly gotten worse. Last month when I went back for my yearly checkup with the ENT specialist, I was told that I would need to start another round of injections to see if it would help quell the attacks. They started this morning. If this set of three (weekly on Mondays) doesn't work, the only option left me is a surgery on the bone behind my ear (the hard…

One of our granddaughters, Esther, (the oldest child of our oldest son) was admitted to the burn unit in Wichita, KS on 15Sep20. Next month (Nov 2020) she will be 8 y.o. I took my wife to Dodge City to watch the other 3 children. Alisha (Esther's mother) is at the hospital with Esther. David (Esther's father) had to go back to work this week. Esther is burnt over 40% of her body, 60% of the right leg and 50% of the right arm are 3rd degree burns, the remainder is 2nd degree. When Esther gets back home (probably 2 or more weeks from now), our oldest daughter, Rebekah, (the one the Lord healed from Myeloid Leukemia after the doctors told here there was nothin…

My best friend and I used to have a website many years ago, but we let it lapse because of my being disabled and not being able to work on the computer very often. After it lapsed it was being used by a foreign interest who used it for the marketing of womens lingerie and some rather ungodly. Neither my friend nor I appreciated this, so, this morning, I repurchased this site, http://www.underhiswingskjv.org , and the http://www.underhiswingskjv.com sites. My friend is the one who usually puts the content on the site, though at times, I will do so if I can handle looking a the screen for long periods of time. We hope to be able to assist some of the preachers we know who a…

My best friend, an IFB pastor in Southern Illinois, just told me that his son in law is having doubts about his marriage, and other things. There are many factors involved in what is going on with this young man, and I don't want to go into detail. Suffice it to say that his past is haunting him, and he needs our prayers. He has worked in the ministry of the church where my friend is pastor, and the couple has a young son...Please pray that the adversary will not have victory in this case an that this young man will return to what he knows is right. He went to Fairhaven in Indiana and I believe is a graduate of the college there. Thanks in advance for your prayers. …

My wife suffered a fall yesterday after clocking in for work. She fell and hurt her back and right shoulder. She didn't tell me yesterday morning when she called, but waited until last night. She was in a lot of pain last night and only got about 1 1/2 hours sleep. She did go to work this morning, as they want her to go and see the company physician to see if there is any damage....of course...we ALL know whose side the company doctor is going to be on. We have little to no faith in them, and we already have our doctor ready to assess the possible damage. Please pray for my wife and her back and shoulder. Being a lead, and working in an "at will" state, this puts her in a…

This past Sunday morning I lost my balance and had a nice spill onto the ground outside while taking the puppy out for his potty break. A huge headache was present and my balance got worse throughout the day. Needless to say, I didn't get to go to church and was in bed a lot of the day. When I got up I noticed that I couldn't fully use my left side. But, after about 1/2 an hour it somewhat subsided. The doctor told me that he believed it was possible that I had experienced a TIA...and possibly a slight stroke. I'm still numb on the left side and still have a slight headache. I would appreciate your prayers. The doctor told me if I start to experience this again to get to …

Here I come again... This morning I heard a thump from my mom's room. Called to her, didn't hear anything. She had fallen and was unconscious, bleeding badly from her mouth. Thankfully my husband had not left yet, so he came in. We could not get her to respond, didn't realize she was unconscious. She was on her stomach, with her limbs jerking and she was groaning. I will never forget that sound. We called 911. Upshot is that she is on her way to the hospital, with a likely face fracture. Please pray for her. Nobody can be with her because of this idiotic state's "response" to the tax-payer-funded-manmade "virus. My mom is 82, so not young. But she's in most…

My wife and I had our initial visits last Monday at a different doctor. We left our old one because they weren't very patient friendly, and they didn't do what they had promised to do. We have been with these doctors over six years and grew tired of the lax attitude of the whole "firm". My wifes results on her x-rays haven't been addressed yet, but, the doctor did tell her that she might have to go on disability soon. She has fallen several times in the last few weeks, having balance issues, and is in a job that requires more of her than she can continue to give. It's worn her down physically. She has two titanium rods and eight titanium screws holding her thorax together…

I am currently reading Blaze of Light - The inspiring true story of Green Beret Medic Gary Beikirch, Medal of Honor recipient - by Marcus Brotherton. I am about 30% through and it is very good. At various times (unknown to him) Gary is prayed for by various people and there is an interesting end note that discusses the efficacy of prayer. This end note cites a study that was done by a San Francisco General Hospital researcher testing the practice of prayer upon 393 consenting patients admitted to the Coronary Care Unit. No patient knew if they were being prayed for. "The Intercessory Prayer group subsequently had a significantly lower severity score based on t…

Once again I'm asking for prayers for we who live in Middle Tennessee. A strong system is headed our way that will lead to another major winter event. We've been through several this year already, and we've been fairly lucky with no damage, no loss of power, at least not for any signficant amount of time, and the ability to have enough food stuffs on hand to get us through until the next week. We live in a very rural area where I am, and we get absolutely NO road clearing, treating, etc. It's not a great situation. It's nearly 15 miles to the "snow route" and that will take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to get to if we even dare to go out. Please pray that people wi…

We just heard that one of my hub's brothers had a mini stroke yesterday. He is home and sleeping right now. Thing is, with their Factor V gene situation, that makes it more dangerous for a brain bleed. All brothers except the younger one are on some kind of anti-coagulant to keep clots from forming. A sister-in-law fell and dislocated her knee. She and her hubs are wanting to come out in June for Josh's wedding. If you could add healing and travel plans to your prayer list, I'd appreciate it.

So my cousin's wife was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and it had traveled to the lungs. Prognosis was 3-4 years at best. She began chemo, and it threw her for a loop. Then she got pneumonia. She was in the hospital for a while, and they send her home because of the folks with other communicable infections on that floor. She called me last night with a bit of great news. 1. The pneumonia is gone. 2. They sent her tests to Mayo Clinic, who also sent them to 2 or 3 other places. Upshot is: she is only stage 2 breast cancer. She is, however, stage 4 lung cancer. But the doctors are very upbeat about it. They said surgery could take care of the breast ca…

There is much uncertainty surrounding this Winter Storm. We have already had several inches of rain with freezing rain and quickly dropping temperatures. We are getting snow, and it's sticking...with the temps falling like they are, we will have several inches if the temps don't rise...and it will all freeze. Many of us live in areas where we don't have snowplows clearing the roads, and we'll be "in place" for several days. Please pray for those of us who will be having to shelter in place if things don't change. I know that many, including my wife and myself will appreciate it. Thanks in advance. BT

Sunday morning was the first time in five months that I have been well enough to be in Sunday services at our church. I probably shouldn't have even gone then, but I felt a strong reason to be there, and I'm glad I did go. While in the service, during the music/worship portion of the service, I had to sit down after standing a good 10 minutes. My legs have grown weaker since covid. But, there was another challenge that I had during the service that truly concerned me....I have been experiencing intermittent tremors in my left hand and arm over the past six or seven months, but they have become markedly worse over the past few months. Sunday morning, my left hand went into…

My daughter, Hannah-Rose is a registered nurse. She has left Perth this afternoon to fly to Brisbane and then on to Port Morseby, Papua New Guinea. She will be serving at Kunai health clinic. The clinic is an independent baptist missionary run clinic with the purpose of reaching the people of the Kotidanga region and beyond for the Lord. I would appreciate prayer for her travel and for her service for the Lord into the future. Regards, DaveW

We were just informed that a friend who is the pastor of the Bayview Gardens Baptist Church in Washington, IL, Pastor Keith Thibo, is in the hospital in serious condition with the coronavirus. Please keep him in your prayers. He is a graduate of Marantha Baptist Bible College (now Maranatha Baptist University) and has been at Bayview for many years. I'm sure his church family and his family (who I am lead to believe also have the virus) would appreciate your prayers. Please also be praying for his family. Thanks in advance. BT

My brother-in-law, Terry Wood, coded in the hospital this morning. He's been fighting for his life after having Covid, and has been in the hospital for three months this week, on oxygen. They were going to move him to the rehab center last month, but he declined and they had to keep him. They discovered that he had become diabetic during his covid experience, and his blood sugar this morning was "off the charts" as the doctor told my sister in law. They have him stablized, but he is suffering from depression because of the duration of this experience. His kids are all out of their mind with worry, two living in Union, SC, and the other in Augusta, GA. His wife may have to…

This is the latest update that my mother called in to me just a few seconds ago...my great nephew, Ezra Lee Ingham was able to go home just about an hour ago. The doctors believe he will be treatable from home since my niece and her husband live within a few minutes of the hospital. The leaky valve is showing some signs of improvement, and the other heart condition can be monitored by my other niece who is a nurse. Ezra's mother has some medical training as well...please continue to pray for Ezra, as this condition is one that he may grow out of, but he may not. They're going to have to monitor it very closely. My niece and her husband asked that I thank everyone for the …

My great nephew was born on 11/29/ of this year. He went home for two or three days and started showing signs of heart problems and inability to breathe. My niece and her husband took him to the hospital in Augusta, and they admitted Ezra with two heart conditions, including a leaky valve. We were just informed yesterday by my mother that he was aditted Friday night or Saturday morning. Please pray for Ezra, his mother and father, and his grandfather who just lost his mother last week. This family has been put through the wringer these past few years, but they are still putting the Lord first. Thanks in advance. BT

I learned just a few minutes ago that my younger brother, Shawn Bernhardt, the brother that my wife and I went up to Illinois to meet in July, lost his mother this morning at around 10 AM. His step-father, Bud, and her had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in August. Her passing was somewhat sudden. This is the second family member that Shawn has lost this year, having lost a sister back before he went to Illinois to meet the family. Please keep Shawn and his kids, Whitney and Shawn, in your prayers. Thanks in advance. BT

Since my wife and I had the virus back in late August and early September of this year, we have both experienced some long lasting side effects. We both have had problems with sleep, and with our extremities turning a blue/ashen color. I have added lung, kidney and heart damage from the virus, and also increased dizziness. I had talked to my ENT specialist because I have bilateral Menieres disease, but his PA said that it "couldn't" have affected my Menieres. Further research and speaking to other physicians and nurses in the field have revealed tha I might have what is called labrythitis. It affects the ears like Menieres does and would account for the problem. We'll see…
