You know, I've always wondered, where did 10% come from? As in tithing, like: 10% for savings, and 10% for God. I know this question is sort of weird, but I do sometimes just ponder things. :2cents :2cents :2cents

Its getting so that most times anyone confesses doing something wrong, especially if its bad the 1st thing most people will say, “He or she has not shown no remorse.” How do you determine if someone is showing remorse for doing wrong?

Just when you think you've learned all there is to learn about sheep...... The sheep are still recovering from feeding their lambs and some are in desperate need of putting their weight back on, The situation is getting critical. Weeks ago, I planted a field of sorghum/sudangrass hybrid and waited, upon recommendation, until it was over 24" high. The reason for this tis that the stuff produces hydrogen cyanide under certain conditions and one of those is being too short. Why does everything always have to be complicated? Anyway, my wife and I have been trying since last Wednesday to get over 120 sheep to go into that field. We would lead the lead sheep in with a feed buck…

Gen 9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. Gen 9:23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid [it] upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces [were] backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. Gen 9:24

2Sa 21:1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, [it is] for Saul, and for [his] bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. skipping down to verse six........ 2Sa 21:6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, [whom] the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give [them]. Have you ever heard this taught, that these 'seven sons' were executed for something Saul did? So, IF that was the case, why would God tell king David to do that, when it says in Deuteronomy chapter 24.... Deu 24:16 The fathers shall not…

Gen 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. Ever heard it taught that Adam and Eve were not really naked, but were "shrouded in the glory of God"? Where does this belief come from? And if they weren't naked why would there be a need to say "and were not ashamed"?

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. isaiah 40:11 Had another baby born, just before I left for work, and I think it's number 56. It is the tiniest I've seen yet; prOBably less than 4 lbs. I picked it up, much to the dismay of it's young mother, and tried to take a selfie with it but just got its head. The lamb, a girl, was much prettier than me.. I've noticed a few things this season that I hadn't before. I've noticed that after the flock had lambed a couple dozen lambs or so, they were scattering. I went out one night to the 2.5 acre paddock th…

I was putting out the hay yesterday and stopped for a minute to record this video in one of my pastures. There has been very little rain and the sheep actually seek out bare spots in the grass to lie down on and will wallow them out larger; They always seem to prefer to lie down in dirt rather than green grass and I counted over 50 of these in just one corner of this pasture. When sheep rise, from bedding down, they typically will stretch and defecate right on the spot. These heavily soiled areas propagate the life cycles of intestinal parasites which complete their cycle by climbing up the grass stems to be re-ingested by the sheep. Though they clearly like to lie down h…

Proverbs 30 29There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going: 30A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any; 31A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up. Wouldn't you say that this verse is speaking only of the King of Kings when He reigns in the millennium? And that the "rising up" means that no one will even want to TRY? I don't see how the "comeliness" could refer to earthly kings, because I'm pretty sure there are some North Koreans who would love to get the chance. What do you think?

Has anyone ever noticed any similarities between Mark Chapter 6 and Psalm 23? 33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him. 34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. 35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: 36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to ea…

When our children were little, it was always a delight to hear them say those precious, cute little things. Our little daughter was out in the garden with her mother one day and brought her a little bug. My wife said "that's a ladybug". My daughter left and returned a few minutes later with another bug and exclaimed "look Mama...a MAN BUG!". When it came to the animals on our farm, it was the kids who did the naming. Sometimes the names didn't make any sense to my wife nor myself but, whatever they named it, that was it. It was a pleasure to let them name them. A black cow with a "V" shaped mark on her forehead was named "Vicky" But then, we had a beagle named "Wax"\ and …
