I am Apilgrim, and have been posting to the Yahoo MSG boards for many years now. I am a Fundamental Baptist, trusting only the King James Version as the authorized translation for this modern age. I am born again, by grace, through faith, and make no apologies for it. We are not saved by works, but unto good works. I have been saved for 25 years now, and actively engage in door to door soul-winning as I believe it is one of the main reasons God left us here, and didn't take us home to Heaven, after saving us. I am tired of sparring with atheists, agnostics, and the cults (including the largest of all - Catholicism). I enjoy contending for the faith, and I have learn…

Hello there! Too be perfectly upfront, I am not a christian. I am an agnostic - one of those wishy washy people who can't be an honest atheist or religious person - I must sit on the fence and refuse to choose sides. Don't worry though, I am not here looking for a fight or a debate. I am just interested in discussing a book/author I stumbled on a bit ago and fell in love with, and someone recommended I try more fundamentalist type christians since they may likely be more familiar with the book. But all of that is discussed on another thread:). About me...I was raised catholic as a child - I always say my mama is more catholic than the pope. I think that is especiall…

Hi, All! Always hated being the new guy at work, but here I am. Came across this site whilst researching various tings on the seven churches of Asia, and the speculation of the correlating church ages. Its been a long time since I was part of a Batist board like this-usually I find so much argument and ill-will that I end up just getting disgusted and leaving. Yes, I enjoy lively discussions, and the occasional argument, performed in good spirits, can keep one on one's toes, so hopefully this group here wil be different. Hopefully its not just me that's the jerk. Anyways, I pastor a small IFB church in the NE California desert, a small town of about 800. My wife and I…

Ten years, two months, and seven days ago I joined Online Baptist (OB). Many were here before me, many have left the site, and many have since joined. OB has always been a great place to fellowship with other like minded believers and continues to be so today. This is a refreshing place to come and just read the remarks of others or comment as the Lord leads. All in all each of you have helped me to grow in my walk with the Lord. I look forward to continuing visits here until the Lord says otherwise. Thanks Matt for a great environment for IFB and IB alike.

Greetings from Summerville, GA. I'm Josh Owens and my wife Jess and I, are members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, of Summerville, GA, where Brother Brian Durden is our pastor! I'm a preacher out of the church and I lead the singing. Jess and I'll be married for a year, on the 26th and we're expecting our baby girl, DaMaris Joy, on July 10th!!! I also look forward to sharing some great messages (from other preachers and if people want them, myself,) once I know how to upload them! BTW, the LORD has allowed me to have a 30-minute, weekly radio broadcast, for almost 10 years now! If you want to know where…

I'm a 52 yr old happily married Grandma in SouthEast Louisiana. My interests mostly center around the computer-- poetry and other creative writing. While reading headlines-- I surf from one subject to another to learn something new everyday, then share much of it with my friends and in my newsletters! I enjoy collecting quotes and recipes. I have a great family that consists of my husband 'Mike' of 34 years; 2 sons (28 & 30) and 2 grandsons (12 & 14) and their sweet mom, my d-i-l. I have one brother who also lives here in our hometown. We have 6 Lab/Bulldog mix dogs that are treated like family members. I enjoy Mahjong; playing Dominos and Spades at Zone.com; an…

A Leaf (descriptive/narrative essay)

There are so many things that even a thousand piece of paper and a dozen gallons of ink will not be sufficient to write the manifold grace which God bestowed upon my life. This descriptive type of essay is just but a little one piece of my diary which was written somewhere beyond the sky. I eat, and drink; I merry, and cry. I run and stumble; I fail but still I try. A Person like me is not hard to find. It is not because I?m tall in stature but as one in a million guys that is what we so called ?skinny bones?, just kidding. I am a slim guy but not totally thin. Talking about my outward appearance: I am not handsome and comely to look upon but I was so thankful to God t…

Hello:) im here today to help people reach our loving God. i am so blessed and overjoyed by the love of God. I plan on becoming a missionary. Whereever God sends me, it doesnt matter if it is in a different country or right inside of America. Its time for us to give back to God for all the things He has given to us. I am in love with Jesus Christ. i find myself incredulously amazed that someone would actually have so much unconditional love for people like us who have done so many unruly things. He weeps for us. He wants nothing more than our praise and oh does He deserve it. Feel free to comment!

Hello everyone, I grew up in small, dusty west Texas (Midland/Odessa area). My parents divorced when I was about six years old. My brother and I lived with our dad so that we wouldn’t have to change schools when my mom moved to another town. Both parents were very loving towards us and cooperated with each other for our sakes, but they had very different lifestyles. My dad was very involved in church and did the best he could raise us biblically. I was saved at an early age, but without a consistent picture across the board, I strayed from God’s path during my college years. After graduating I went into the Air Force as an intelligence officer and started traipsing ar…

Hello to everyone.. I'm Donex from the Philippines. I am a Fundamental Baptist adherent though not yet a member of our local church where I fellowship and attended sunday services. Personally I categorized myself (my belief) as an independent baptist adherent or believer for that matter. The Lord God blessed me with a family with four beautiful children and a christian wife. I am presently studying the Word of God (the Holy Scriptures) about church doctrines on tithe, celebrating christmas, observing easter sunday, believers' class before administering water baptism, etc. I hope that by joining here, I can meet friends/people that can help me understand more of the…

Good Saturday evening! I am new to this forum, and so very thankful to have found it. It is such a blessing to be able to interact with other like-minded people. I reside in north Texas (where it is nice and toasty just now!). I work as a legal secretary, never married, and enjoy a quiet life with my two naughty little cats. I know I will learn so much from everyone here, and wish to express my appreciation in advance for the many blessings I anticipate receiving and friends I know I will make here!

I'm a teeenage without troubles and I'm convinced this will be my mortality. I feel like this is perniment and will never change but I'm going to get baptized and I feel it's the right thing to do because I can admit that I have toyed with the devil. And I think it's about time I repay my sins. I'm trying to clean up my act and look like ADULT and not a over-grown child. The is that I have taking myself through troubles because down in the bottom of my soul I think troubles a accessory. That demented on my part.

Hello my name is Lori. I am 24 years old, and I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have a beautiful baby girl who will be turning two this month. I am a stay-at-home mom, but prior service Navy (Hospital Corpsman). I have been saved for a little over two years now. My family and I moved to Hawaii last July, but unfortunately we haven't found a church that feels like a home away from home yet. I am looking forward to fellowshipping with everyone in this site and I hope to learn and grow in Christ as I do.

Greetings all! I found this forum looking on google. I go to a church in Christchurch, New Zealand. Christchurch Family Baptist. It is pretty much independent missionary baptist.. which would be the same as or very similar to IFB. I have been a long time member at Christianchat.com but there are so many different types of christians posting in there it can get really confusing and sometimes muddy my own views on scripture. I am 36 (turning 37 on June 20 :)) I support people to do activities in their own community.. people who have mainly mental disabilities. from Michael

Hi guys, I have been away from this website for quite awhile and seem quite lost. I joined in 2003 (still cant believe that) I have been off and on, but without a stable internet connect these past few years it was hard. (we finially kicked dial up and got dsl ) Dont know if some of you remember me, so here goes. I was born and raised in the Bahamas. So I am an island girl, love the ocean and all that. I was saved November 16th, 1992 at the church I had been attending (it was a fundamental Baptist) and I loved it, I was babptized January 1993 (we didnt have that thingy in church - your know the little pool) I was baptized in the ocean - It was freezing, i think,…

Dear brethren in Christ! I am a new member on this forum, and I hope I will have a nice time here, and what follows is a short intro of myself. I am a teenager, currently in high school, I've been saved for 2 years, I am an independent (Ana)Baptist; and I live in Macedonia. Although I myself hold to and have Anabaptist (Baptist) convictions, unfortunately, there are no Independent Baptist churches in my country (at least no that I know of), and I don't want to go to protestant churches, so I am seeking for missionaries willing to plant a Church here. You may find me on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/Stefan_P_ My blog: https://baptist.jux.com/ Meanwhile, I wou…

Hi there! My name isn't really Escambia, but it really isn't McSween, either, so I guess whatever you call me is okay. I've lived all over the country, with the exception (by the grace of God) of the Northeast, and currently reside in eastern North Carolina. I received Christ, according to John 1:12, at the age of 19; that was 41 years ago. You can do the math, although it might be an uncharitable thing to do! My earliest teachers and mentors, to whom I owe an eternal debt, were evangelical Presbyterians; I became a believer in the King James Bible 13 years after my conversion, and (this will not surprise you) became a Baptist shortly thereafter. I'm pleased to find…
