Babies Go To Hell!

"Behold, I was shapen in iniquity: and in sin did my mother conceive me." - Psalms 51:5

There has of late been some discussion as to the destination of those who die in their infancy, before they are old enough to understand Jesus. Of course, the feel-good, tree-hugging, whale-loving liberals assert that God couldn't possibly send babies to hell as this would be "unfair" or "cruel", and that by some mysterious loophole in the rules for Salvation God allows those who are too young to be "accountable" into Heaven, no questions asked.

As usual, the position of the lieberals in this debate finds no support whatsoever in the Scriptures. The Bible is clear - EVERYONE who has not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour by the time they die goes straight to the fiery bowels of hell, no exceptions and NO EXCUSES.

Relative to the argument that babies do not go to hell is the false belief that babies and infants are innocent, because they are not old enough to sin. This is utter nonsense. Central to the teachings of Christianity is the proposition that the guilt of Adam derived from the original sin is passed down through the blood through each generation (Genesis 5:3). Our ancestor was Adam - He rebelled against God. That's enough. Since the fall, we are guilty for even existing. You don't know much about Christian theology if you don't know that.
It is not a matter of choosing to rebel against God when we are old enough to drink and drive. If it was a choice entirely dependent on free will, then chances are some people would choose not to rebel. It would prOBably work out about 50/50. But the Bible says that the whole human race, every individual who has ever lived and ever will live deserves to go to hell (and that even includes you, my esteemed fellow true Christians). As the theologian John Calvin demonstrated, there is nothing whatsoever that we can do by our own free will to get saved. Nothing! The only way to get saved is to get Grace, and you can only get Grace if God decides to give it to you. The sign of having Grace is a compulsion within your heart to accept Jesus and a miraculous ability to believe in every word of the Bible (have you ever tried to FORCE yourself to believe in something? Hold a gun to someone's head and demand they believe that the earth is flat, or that unicorns exist. It is impossible - no matter how hard the person tries. Belief is NOT subject to will power).

We are ALL tainted with sin from the moment of conception (Psalms 24:4) and we need the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ to wash away our sins in the eyes of the Lord. So until the born again experience happens, Salvation is not possible. Therefore, babies and unborn babies who die go straight to hell.

You might think that this is "unfair", but it's not unfair at all. Those who do not have the opportunity to receive salvation, who never in their lifetimes hear the gospel preached (eg babies and savages living in jungles), OBviously were Predestined by God to go to hell. God makes sure that His elect are able to hear the gospel preached to them during their lifetimes, in order to give them an opportunity which He knows they will take advantage of. But with a lot of the reprOBate, He decided not to bother letting them hear the gospel because He had already decided to send them to Hell anyway. God knows everything, so if a baby dies, God OBviously allowed that baby to die because He knew that if it had lived it would have grown up to be a sinner.

A liberal so called "Christian" I once conversed with, recounted the Old Testament story of a father who was promised that he would be reunited with his dead son, who died in infancy. But the important point to remember here is that this occured in the OLD Testamant. Before Jesus, the requirements for Salvation were very different. OBviously Moses did not go to hell eventhough He never accepted Jesus as his Saviour - he could not have done, as Jesus had not been born at that stage. In Old Testament times, to belong to the Jewish race (God's chosen people) was sufficient qualification to ensure a place in Heaven, so long as you did not break the laws of the Prophets. But since the New Testament, it is imperative to believe in Jesus to get to Heaven.

Furthermore, one of my associates presented a very simple tongue-in-cheek argument that if death in infancy ensures salvation then it is a very good idea to kill babies. The vast majority of the human race at present is NOT made up of true Christians (Bible-believing fundamentalists), so for a new born, odds are that he or she will grow up to become part of the hellbound majority. Death in infancy, therefore, would guard against that risk, and would be a small price to pay to ensure eternal bliss as opposed to eternal misery and torture.

To suggest that God makes exceptions to the rule that you must believe in Jesus to get into heaven, based on age or any other reason is to make a mockery of the whole notion of Salvation. It is either necessary to believe in Jesus, or it isn't. If God is going to make exceptions then it OBviously isn't necessary. If God is going to allow unsaved babies to go to heaven by default then He is just playing games with us and Jesus isn't necessary at all. It would be better, in that case, to go and live in some remote community in some OBsure, primitive country and have a great time sinning all you like. At death, you will end up in heaven anyway if God can see that you have never been told about Jesus and the Bible.

Babies, and young children who die before they are old enough to understand the gospels and worship Jesus, unfortunately go straight to Hell. This is a Bible fact, and anybody who disagrees is guilty of heresy.
I trust that I have sucessfully refuted the heresies of the lieberal element that have been smearing the internet with their new-age, pluralist (aka satanic) lies.

On a final note, I would like to add that the thought of all those screaming infants in hell is enough to make you want to avoid the place at all costs, if you needed any more encouragement!

II Samuel 12 tells of the death of David's child. Vs 23 states "But  now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

The New Testament in reference to Moses said...Hebrews 11:24-27 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

[but the important point to remember here is that this occured in the OLD Testamant. Before Jesus, the requirements for Salvation were very different. By Faith...same today as in Old Testament...what say ye of Hebrews?

And what say ye of...Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

if then they are so hell bound then why, would JESUS say this the above of them...

Angels by the way are...Hebrews 1:13-14 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Interesting...when you put the Scripture line upon line, precept upon precept...

Matthew 18 talking of angels...Hebrews talking of angels...

(Here is some advice before I give my returning argument. Before you go worrying about whether babies go to hell or not when they die, you should worry about you.)

1.      Are you saved? Did you take Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and can you remember a specific moment?

2.      Do you feel guilty about sinning? While saved people can sin, they have the power not to sin. Lost people neither know nor care that they sin.

(If you have said “no” to either one of these, you might not be saved.)

(Anyway, your argument appears to be more of a rant than anything else, because it is not well-supported and keeps jumping subjects.)

(Your verses:)

51: 5

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (True: Because we are the offspring of Adam, we too have a sin nature. This sin nature is what allows us to sin, without being taught and at an early age.)

Psalms 24:4

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. (This verse does nothing for your argument.

(Note: Both verses you use come from the Old Testament.)

Romans 7: 9

For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. (In this verse, Paul is saying that he was born spiritually alive, but when he sinned, he experienced a spiritual death. That is because, when a person commits one sin, they are guilty of the whole law. [James 2: 10])

Luke 16: 22

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; (Before Jesus died for the world, no one could go to heaven. Not even Abraham went; he went to “Abraham’s Bosom [as mentioned by Jesus in a parable] because God made the promise that he would not parish.)

(You can’t hide from God in a “backward” country.) Mark 4: 22; Luke 8: 17

(God also manifests Himself to the whole world.) Romans 1: 17-20 (It is a “darkened heart” that prevents us from knowing Him.) Verse 21

(Know I am sure you know of the verse John 3: 16) For God so loved THE WORLD… (meaning that Jesus died for everyone.

And while there is NO way for me to convince you or any other person to get saved, because it is only in God to reveal Himself to you, it is through hearing the Word that people can know.)  Romans 10: 14 (Remember the “darkened heart”?

In conclusion, we are “born alive”, then “die” with our first sin. In which time, our hearts are “darkened” to God. We then, hear the Word, which makes us more open to God’s Word, so that God is able to draw us to Him. We can then either accept or reject Jesus as Lord and Savior. And God speaks to all people at some point in their life, through his people, Christian missionaries who go all over the world.

And since we are “born alive”, babies don’t go to hell.)

Christians couples or in cases of one of the two being a Christian God says this and you will need to meditate on it.

Please keep in mind this is inspired preserved word of God and verse 14 holds the answer for Christians who have children. I will follow the quote with my understanding of verse 14.

1Cor 7:10 ¶ And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

Holiness is imputed to us upon belief in Christ's finished work of the cross at salvation.

Because of these verses I have come to understand that a Christian's (where there are two or one Christian) children under the "so called" age of accountability will be gathered together with their believing parents at the gathering or will go to heaven with the parents if they die before they come to saving grace because they are made holy by the believing parents.

If you have had a child (whether you are saved or not) you will see that children possess a self centered leaning that develops very young showing their sin and its nature thereby rendering them guilty of sin and condemning them to hell.

I have come to the belief (and I am not infallible and I could be wrong) that unbelieving children under the age of accountability of unbelieving parents will go to hell as well as their parents.

Psalm 51  was written sometime after David 's sin with Bathsheba ( 2 Sam.11:3,4) the Psalm gives expression to why David was a man after God's own heart, he was not perfect, but had a sensitivity to sin, one can notice this especially of the first person singular. " mine iniquity, ''my sin, my transgressions.the first two verses are an introduction of petition ,meaning this use of four figures of forgiveness, after confessing his guilt (v 3-6) David prays for inner renewal ( v 7-12) and promises thanksgiving and ministry (v 13-17 ) this passage clearly teaches that those who have failed God may be restored to the services of God. the prayer " take not my Holly Spirit from me" here Davids cry may reflect fear, not reality, of losing the Spirit , and being rejected by God. he ask God to restore the "Joy" of this salvation, not salvation itself.

Now may we take a look at Psalm 51:5 used to identify a infant going to hell

Psalm 51:5 " Behold I was shapen in iniquity and in my sin did my mother conceive me"

The Word sin appears in verse 5 in the singular, it denotes the Sin Nature of humanity, this Sin Nature , which everyone possesses influences us to sin and is the source of lust, it negatively affects peoples mind. lets take at look at Rom 1:28

Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge , God gave them over to a reprOBate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

"God gave them up" this giving is not permissive , God lets them do what they want, and withdraws his gracious help, they are blinded not because God withdrew His light but because of the judicial acts of God He delivered them over to the natural result of their unbelief and action.( their Sin Nature )

The Sin Nature is partially responsible for blinding peoples thoughts and understanding , so they cannot perceive spiritual things .again we look to 1 Cor 2:14.,

1 Cor.2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them , because they are spiritually discerned.

Although our sin nature continues to operate within us, It was judged when  Jesus died on the cross. Amen

Rom 6:6-7 Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed , that henceforth we should not serve sin. "For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Until Jesus returns , we must live in the strength of the new man, to overcome the sinful desires arising from the the Sin Nature , we can not eradicate our Sin Nature , but we can allow the Holly Spirit to control us so that we do not give into temptation.

Now we can clearly see that Psalm 51:5 relates not only to Davids Sin Nature but to the Sin Nature of Humanity.

Now lets take a look at 2 Sam 12:13

We find here in 2 Sam 12:23 David does not refer here to the child as being in hell. but in Heaven with God'

2 Sam 12:23 But now he is dead , wherefore should I fast ? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me..(I shall go to him) David trusted God to graciously care for the soul of the dead infant , whom a believing David would join in the presence of God after his earthly life was over. again can we relate to this scripture here to infant/ child death and eternity in Hell ?

There is to much of this teaching to cover all of it so I will limit myself

Quote- as Jesus had not been born at this stage-  this was concerning Jesus in the Old Testament.

John 1: 1 -2 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God

We learn here that " In the beginning with God signifies the perfect fellowship between the Father and the Son in eternity . '' The Word was God '' emphasizes distinction in the Godhead, this phrase stresses the essential unity, The Word was with God " the Word thus emphasizing Jesus divinity.

John could not have expressed the full divinity of Jesus more completely.

Jesus is called the Word of God , this phrase occurs over a 1,000 times in the Old Testament to refer to the message of God. Jesus is the expression and communication of the Word, He is both the incarnate and the inspired Word. thus we clearly see Jesus in the Old Testament in which we may know Him as God, the Father and the Son.

Until you can prove through the scriptures of the Word of God, that infants/children at death go to hell I will rebuke such teaching, I have presented in short to you this message in hopes that you will study God's Word with understanding through the Holly Spirit which indwells in all Christians to discern the truth of Gods word. I will be praying for you my friend.

Psalms 51:5 is speaking of David's mother, not David. Men do not conceive, only women conceive. David said he was "conceived" in sin, meaning his mother was involved in some sort of sin when David was conceived.

David had two sisters, Zeruiah and Abigail, whose father was Nahash the Ammonite. (1 Chr 2:15-16, 2 Sam 17:25), so his mother had relations with a non-Jew which was forbidden. David's father and brothers were all ashamed of him, twice when Samuel requested to see all of Jesse's sons, Jesse refused to present David. David's seven brothers were invited to this feast, while David had to keep the sheep. Only when Samuel insisted did Jesse finally present David to him, and David was chosen. But this passage shows there was some shame attached to David, most likely because of his mother. David did not look like his older brothers who were tall and handsome, David was short and not handsome. This also argues he had a different mother than his brothers. (1 Sam 16:1-13)

David was the black sheep of his family and not treated well. In his shame in Psalm 51 for his sin with Bathsheba, David seems to believe what he had always been taught was true, that he was brought forth in shame and inferior to his brothers.

You must rightly interpret scripture before you preach on it.

I agree except, Paul tells us something that at least the child who dies before accountability who has a parent by one believing adult will not go to hell because they are holy.

1Co 7:10-14 ¶ And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.  But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.  And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.  For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

Because of these verses I have come to understand that a Christians (where there are two or one Christian) children under the "so called" age of accountability will be gathered together with their believing parents at the gathering or will go to heaven with the parents if they die before they come to saving grace because they are made holy by the believing parent or parents.

If you have had a child (whether you are saved or not) you will see that children possess a self centered leaning that develops very young showing their sin and its nature thereby rendering them guilty of sin.

I have come to the belief (and I am not infallible and I could be wrong) that unbelieving children under the age of accountability of unbelieving parents will go to hell as well as their parents.

But not the Christians children for they are holy.

Winman  read completely through Psalm 51 being lead by the Holly Spirit depending on Him to reveal the truths rightfully dividing the truths of the word of God as I have maybe you will understand I'm not quoting nor interpreting 51: 5 and then maybe you'll not accuse me of not rightly dividing or misinterpreting the word of God. though I'm spirit lead.

Also my friend I'm not preaching  I'm just giving some correction were it is needed in hopes of a better understanding of the Word of God.

God Bless

Babies most certainly do not go to Hell. This is false. In 2 Samuel 12:23 it says, " But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. David was  going to see him in Heaven that is why he said, I shall go to him.  Absalom on the other hand probably did not go to Heaven that is why David mourned so much. 2Samuel 18:33 And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!

This was a much different response than with the baby that died. There was a lot less hope.

2 Samuel 18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place.

Another person who went to his own place was Judas. That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. Acts 1:25

The idea that babies going to hell is absurd, and it comes from a poor understanding of scriptural context. It is written: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

How is a baby able to "believe" in the Gospel? Or, how is a baby able to "reject" the Gospel? A baby is not able to believe or believeth not, so how are they condemned. The fact that a "deacon" would teach such a doctrine shows how untrained in the Word of God he is. Sad...just sad.

We also have Jonah 4:11, Deuteronomy 1:39 and Jeremiah 19:4 and Ezekiel 16:21

These verses refer to children as innocent and unable to discern right from wrong or good from evil.  Babies are under grace and go to heaven as do children up until what we call the age of accountability, which is different for every child.
