Can a Christian be a Liberal Voter?

Published:

I believed, that all christians that do vote, we're all voting conservative. For there is no more in the middle, when it comes to voting. My question is, do christians really know what it is to be a liberal voter, and what it stands for, or supports?

That time of the year again. Vote by mail. I can see all those Christians voting for the liberal party again. Supporting the party, that supports abortions, gay marriages, and for more marijuana.
The Non Conservative Christians.

Asking if a Christian can be a liberal voter is really a rather inane question. A Christian can be whatever he/she wants to be. The underlying REAL question that is foundational to all such questions is: "Can a Christian be a sinner?" The answer is yes. That doesn't make it right, but it is true.

Post-election polling data seems to verify that even among "Christians" (the term has to be taken loosely when documented by the MSM) how a person votes is heavily impacted by demographics, not the Bible. In this past election white evangelical protestants went heavily for Trump/republican. As you start looking at the various minorities the numbers swayed significantly to the left. Catholics were near an even split between Trump/Biden; but Biden identifies as a Catholic and Catholics are nothing if not loyal. You can see this going all the way back to Kennedy. So, while Christian numbers may favor the right to a degree, they essentially follow the same pattern as secular voting.

According to the 2020 census 70% of Americans identified as Christian, yet only 30% claim to attend church regularly, and only 17% have a Biblical world view. We have to remember that just because someone identifies as a Christian, that does not make them a Christan. And, if most of those so-called Christians are not going to church regularly and even fewer really believe the Bible; is it any surprise that "Christians" vote liberal? Even in my fundamental circle I have seen a small number who have crossed over to the left in their voting. All of whom are elderly and/or poor and are looking for the "promised" liberal" handouts to ease their burden. Doesn't make it right, but as we see all too often (even in the pages of the Bible) a person's earthly burden will often cause them to steer away from God's heavenly promises.

How can you possibly know that any Christians are voting for the Liberal Party? Or, how can you know how anyone is voting?

This is pretty easy, they are voting Democrat. The Democrat party openly supports, gay marriages, abortions, and more. So if you vote for Biden, you’re voting for all these other things, they openly support.

More presumptions, Morales? I know very few if any Christians that vote for these types of things.

So, you’re telling me that all your friends, and all your brothers in Christ, everybody you run into, are Republicans?

like Biden would says, come on man.

Once again; how do YOU know that anyone, Christian or not, is voting Democrat? HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW ANYONE IS VOTING?

Personally, I do not know of any Christians in my circle of people that voted for Biden. So, from my point of view you are just assuming and hoping no one will question what you say.

Sorry, Morales, your assumptions don't make things so. Sad, really, that you continue to post these kinds of things. How about something positive for once?

I ask them, some will say, they voted for Biden, because they did not trust Trump. Many Christians fear him. Can you blame them. I voted 3 times for Trump, counting the primary. I will no longer, that January 6th day, drew the red line. Sad Day for America.

The J6 commission is a sham run by a RINO who should actually come out of her closet as a Democrat. She has little in common with the "old Republican" party. The only sad day for America is her wanting to help the Dems to destroy a man who would do a lot more for America than the marionette who is in office now.

The number of views, especially being dragged out over a period of two years, doesn't equate to positivity. Many who have viewed are "looky-lous" who are looking for negative reasons.

A liberal soul that practices the teaching of Christ will be considered a liberal person by conservatives as they will not do those things. Just look at what the GOP preaches. There is little or nothing of Christ's teaching in their stances.

Very Tuff subject for some.

Yet we find that people need to vote for the person who most closely represents the Biblical world view. Yet, we have to remember this as well, they may hold the correct Biblical world view and not have a lick of sense when it comes to representing us in the political arena. So, what do we do then? Sometime (and I know this isn't a popular position to hold) the one who doesn't hold the Biblical world view and is qualified to handle the position is the one who should be in office as long as it isn't in his power to help enforce things against what the Bible teaches. Example: There are two people running for the office of County comptroller, or State environmental officer. There is absolutely nothing to stop one from voting for a Democrat over a Republican for these positions.

TGL, an admin just told you to cool it with the GIFs…. Probably best not to blow that off.

FWIW, I don’t agree with you, TGL.? I dislike distracting GIFs. The members joining us from the country or areas with poor Internet, it can also make it really hard for them to access the site, cause it take so long for those to load on dial up.
