Well its Sunday morning and I am excited about church. We had an ice storm yesterday and then a little snow on top of that last night so we will have a smaller crowd than we normally have. I also got a call from one of my deacons who (has 7 kids) is in Texas for CHRISTmas and he said he would not be back until Monday. Then another deacon's son called and said his mom, (piano player) and dad were both sick. So if I count the two families in there 80's that won't be there either and Mrs. Candy...

I am new to this blog and look forward to posting to it often. I have been preaching for 22 years, God has blessed the ministries He has given me. I just became the pastor of the Northwest Baptist Church in Leavenworth Kansas. The church has been without a pastor for 3 years and only runs about 30 now but we are excited about the visitors that we have had in the last few weeks. I have had a burden for the military for many years and now I pastor only 2 miles from the front gate of Ft Leavenworth....

Today we remember the birth of our Lord. I find joy everytime I read Luke chapter 2 and Matthew Chapter 2. This year I noted a word that I have read over before that jumped out at me in Luke 2. It said the Shepherds went to see the Lord with "haste". They went imeadiatly and as quickly as they could. How we need to do the same thing every day when we rise in the morning. The days I dont run to the Lord, are the days I struggle most. Remember the Lord FIRST! ...

Finally going back to my fundamentalist Baptist church by FundieGirl02 on December 10th, 2008, 1:29 pm
Well everyone, I have decided to go back to my fundamentalist Baptist church. I have been studying the issue of King James Onlyism in depth and I must say that I agree with that. That and the Baptist church seems to be the most Biblical of them all. So, I am going to go to church this evening at my local independent fundamentalist Baptist church. :smile
