Look at that, my very first blog. :eek If all goes well I plan on posting what it is like being an admin of the best forum ever. Hopefully if will give some of you an insight of what goes on behind the scenes here at Online Baptist. Being an admin here has its ups and downs, but the ups are way better than the downs.
I have gotten to know quite a few people and hopefully one day I will meet may of them here...

We started school early this year. No reason not to start. I have all of my books and my kids start getting bored about this time every summer. We are just easing in to the year, of course. We are going through Proverbs for Bible using Wellsprings of Life by Donald Orthner. It's basically Proverbs put into subject categories. The kids seem to be enjoying it. Tonight we start our bible institute. We use the curruculum from Oak Harbor washington written by Robert Sargent and the late Gary Prisk. I graduated from this institute in 2001 and am now teaching part of it. I would have never guessed the Lord would use me in such a way. One thing I have learned over my 14 1/2 years as a Christian. Never say never. The Lord will use you in the most exciting ways if you will only let him. I learned not just to listen to God but to Hear him. We can listen...

I mentioned a surprise I had for Rachel in my last blog entry. We walked a nature trail, read the Bible together (as usual :smile ), and read each other a letter we had written each other...I made her go first, because at the end of mine, I talked about how I couldn't wait to be with her again, and look into her eyes, and...get down on one knee.
