Preaching and the Creation Museum by BroMatt on August 19th, 2007, 9:23 pm
Well I just got back from our trip to Tennessee. This preaching trip was special for me because it was the first time my father and I preached together. The church was Grace Bible Baptist Church in Knoxville. What a glorious time it was as Pastor Barnett, my father and I all took turns preaching. Church started at 10 am and finished up at 5:30pm.

Seems to be much neater now.

Today is the official first day of school everywhere else in this state of ours. My kids have a great headstart. Tabitha even managed to get her work done before lunch. With no corrections. (Including math.) If she could be that diligent everyday, I'd be a happy mama.

Sunday marks our church's 25th anniversary. My pastor is looking forward to having one Sunday morning service now, instead of two. It has been 15 years of doing an 8:30 am and 11:00am service in...

Moving day is tomorrow. I dread moving so much, but I sure am glad to be moving to our new place! For the first time since moving to China, we'll have walls that are a color other than white and also carpet in the bedrooms. This is the first time that we'll be living in a place that we fixed up ourselves, and it's going to be a pleasure to live where all the decor is hand picked by us! Happy moving day! I'm off to pack. There is a young man 10 or 11 years old in our junior church class. My heart aches for him. He was born into a Christian family, but for whatever reason, he has enough anger and bitterness in his heart to satisfy the needs of an 80 year old unsaved man. He is rapidly heading toward a collision course with either violence or drugs/alcohol.

His mom has some pretty serious health issues, but the anger pre-dates that by about 4 years. Yes, he has always been angry and rebellious. I remember him...
